The itching was starting to become insatiable. She was taking the opportunity of the darkness to itch, but it didn't seem to make a difference. He seemed to know exactaly what she needed though. "Thank you Junior." She breathed, letting him lead them towards the pool. She would be useless in finding them, but Juniors bear smell came in handy quite a lot. Made hide and seek difficult when they played with Aysel, but handy elsewise.
She could just start to hear the sound of water when suddenly they stopped. She heard her husband inhale sharply before going 'ouch'. "Ouch? Are you alright?" What happened? He was growling! Then a female voice, close to them.
Nereus didn't know who Baliel was. "That's my husband. What's going on?" The naiad called to the female, not realizing that at the same time said husband was getting chomped on.
That's it, he was going to shake off the tikicat, and start enjoying this party!
Right after the lights came back on. He sighed as everything became pitch black. Now he sort of knew how Nicky felt. "So much for pranks." A soft 'ouch' followed by a deep growl. That wasn't the tikicats growl. He heard hers slightly before that one and it was different.
He wished he could see the female who was talking to them! His grasp tightened slightly on Nicky, protective towards this 'husband' who growled at them. They had a spear! And an angry tiki cat! They could take on this 'husband'! "Excuse us. We're just trying to get our barring's."

Maybe if they just stayed still, the lights would come back on? Her heart was pounding in her chest. But whatever nervousness she had previously was nothing in comparison to the feeling as she felt the arm slip up her arm. Then her shoulder...her neck...chin. A shiver down her spine. Was he just trying to get a sense of where she was? Why wasn't he talking anymore?
Suddenly his hand turned to grip her chin instead of merely caressing it, and before her mind could register what was happening her face was being pulled forward. There wasn't much space between them to begin with, but now there was barely a breath between them. Her heartbeat could be clearly felt in her fingertips, her throat, her head. Everywhere. She took a shaky breathe, not because she wanted to but because her body demanded it after holding her last for too long. "Wellspring?" She whispered so softly, one might even doubt she said anything at all. Aurelia knew just how close their lips were, how close their bodies were. Of course she couldn't dream to think he was actually going to kiss her.
Teasing her maybe? Could life be so cruel to her to do that? The wilwarin wanted to close the gap herself if she didn't know with such certainty that her love was unrequited. She was frozen, her body aching for a kiss she knew would never happen.

"Anything for you, Scarlet," he answered with complete honesty. If she'd asked him to retrieve a rare flower from the highest peak of a mountain, he'd probably bundle up and get to flying. Of course, that wasn't how a suave gentleman behaved. Which was what he was (still trying to be).
Amitola took a seat on the bench next to Scarlet, enjoying a rest for his wings and the refreshing fruit flavored drink. The thunder was enough to shatter that moment of peace. He'd reacted without a thought, but Scarlet's grip on his arm certainly wasn't helping his quickened heartbeat. He placed one hand over hers in a calming gesture, even if he was anything but calm at the moment.
Then, she started whispering in his ear.
The smooth facade started to slip for a moment and Amitola swallowed hard. He felt his face flush warmly and all he could focus on was how close she was to him and how he could feel her breath on his ear. He was distracted enough that he didn't immediately react when the lights went out again.
Scarlet's startled squeak served to bring him back to the present and away from his distracting thoughts. She had latched onto his arm with both hands and he placed his free hand on her shoulder. Despite her teasing earlier, he still moved as if to place himself between Scarlet and whatever danger might lurk...except the darkness was all around them. No idea where that danger might come from. No idea what he thought he would do about it either.
Suddenly, a sharp pain in his shoulder nearly made Amitola yelp, more out of surprise than pain, but he interpreted the pain as danger. He immediately pulled Scarlet closer in a protective manner, but soon became distracted again. They were so close. He could feel the warmth between their bodies, a stark contrast to the cold darkness that swirled about, causing chills down the spine. Scarlet's previous question hung in the air and Amitola was momentarily thankful for the darkness as certain thoughts passed through his head of what he could suggest she do with him and he worried that perhaps she might have seen it in his expression.
Where had that come from? He'd never...okay, maybe not never entertained such thoughts, but...was this really the time? Really...really not appropriate lines of thought for the moment.
Attempting to seem more in control of the situation than he felt, Amitola tried to focus on Scarlet...well, on her fear, not...her. "Are...are you okay?" he asked quietly, the volume seeming appropriate for their closeness. He tried not to fixate on her smooth scales beneath his fingers, nor the soft brush of her hair against his cheek, and especially not the warmth he felt where they shared skin contact.

In the dark, Kylieam was blushing profusely. Though he was slightly glad no one could see him right now. However, this darkness felt strange. Not normal. Almost...palpable? "Oh i'm sorry...sorry." he gulped, apologizing to the beauty he had pressed against him.
For....safety reasons. Totally safety reasons.
He had to keep telling himself that. Being so close wasn't helping this overwhelming desire in his belly telling him that he just needed her like whoa. "Don't suppose... you know whats going on then? Like hoping this is just some sort of joke by the erotes?" he half laughed nervously, half... well not.
It was hard to think when you were juggling intense desires and now border line fear.
Why did he keep coming back to these things?
DaemonGabrielle For some reason I'm not getting your quotes, my apologies D;
Prisma smiled, glad that he felt the same. He was lots of fun and she still felt strongly about needing him suddenly, though she had no idea why. She had leaned in to give him a hug when suddenly everything went dark.
Blinking, not that she could see anything, Prisma glanced around. "Oooooo! Is this a new gamey game extremely? Fun Fun! I wonder what it is!" she laughed, making sure to latch onto Harlequin's arm super tight. She didn't want to leave or lose him in the dark and if this was a game, game was better with friends!
"What do you think Mister Harle Harle?" she giggled. Maybe even also trying to find her cheeks way to his shoulder to lean on.

When the lights went off the storm outside ceased just as abruptly. It almost seemed too good to be true! Their current situation wasn't necessarily working out. How were they suppose to have a party in complete darkness? Sure, some Pae were probably taking advantage of it right about now, but the rest of the party seemed put off by it. It didn't help that this darkness felt thick and eerie. No, it was about time to move this party outdoors what with the storm over! At least you could see with the moonlight and stars overhead.
Venus summoned her entourage to guide the Pae out of the Party Hall and outside. Slowly, and in a calm manner everyone would be lead out the great doors, through the halls, and out of the building. Everywhere they went the same shadow seemed to follow. It was filling the resort! Little cherubs and tikis alike carried food, tables, chairs, and anything they thought would help spice up the outdoors for their party. Where there was a will there was a way!
That is, until they actually got outside.
Once the mighty doors to the resort were pushed open, screams of fright filled the air. The landscape that was once a beautiful beach scene was now one out of a nightmare. The land was black with a blood red sky, trees were sagging from the weight of tar dripping to the ground, the waves that crashed on the beach now bubbled and oozed, and red eyes watched from the shadows as the party poured out of the doors. As soon as Pae stepped foot, the doors behind them slammed shut. There was no going back into the darkened resort now! Instead, they'd have to face the nightmare that laid before them.
A screech was heard overhead followed by another and another. A bat like Pae came into view, the little monsters dive bombing the group. Their small little heads were adorned with a bone mask, little red eyes shining through the eye holes. They continued to pester the group, attempting to sink fang and claw into their flesh.
At this point your Pae has a choice. They can stand their ground and attempt to fight off the little bat Pae or run from the building. If they run they can either head for the beach or into the jungle, but there is no telling what is waiting for them there...No need to quote us when you make your decision, just keep watch for our prompts for those specific areas!

His words came as a surprise to her. As well as a relief. The way he spoke of Rais and of his brother visiting the tree somewhat took the edge off. Though she already knew that, at least from what Lemon Hearts had told her, it still felt good to hear it from his lips.
And sweet Celestia, he wanted her to sing for him?! "Oh i d-d-don't know if i c-c-could..." she blushed, bringing a hand to her cheek as she wriggled in place. It had taken a great deal to get comfortable singing in front of her friends...and they were her best friends! But him? Even if he was her Prince Charming.... could she? Blinking, she gazed up into his eyes. Somehow he just made her feel comfortable. Maybe...maybe she could..
The thoughts were quickly dashed from her mind as the room turned dark. A thick, heavy dark. Unnatural and not anything like the serene darkness of nighttime or that of Princess Luna. Even Hymnaios seemed startled by it as he quickly backed her against the wall and questioned her well being. "H-hym.. whats g-going on?" she squeaked, reaching forward to latch onto his arm out of fear of getting lost in the darkness.
Sounds of commotion wafted to her ears as she strained to see something, anything but was met with only more and more of the unpleasant dark. However she noticed other sounds, a voice, no several voices, all ushering pae calmly towards the doors and out of the building. It was then Fluttershy was able to notice that the sounds of the storm outside had stopped. Thank Celestia for that at least!
Or so she thought!
As she peered around at the blood red nightmare that was now outside, Fluttershy lurched forward as the door slammed shut behind her. A loud squeal escaped her lips as she clung even tighter to the yellow deity. Pae were running in all different directions and she couldn't make heads or tails of things. "Lemon?!" she called out for her friend, but couldn't make out her figure in the crowds. All her cute critter companions had left as well.....except... "Bats?" Fluttershy blinked.
Rubbing her eyes, the pegasus watched as several bat like creatures darted about the skies. "Awww poor things...." the pegasus found herself saying as she dared to let go of Hym's arms and grasping her hands together. "They are probably starving and oh so scared!" she cried, stepping forward and holding out her arms wide. "Come here little ones, I'll help you!" she called out to the creatures, arms wide open and waiting for one that veered right for her....

[Arrow Effect: N/A]
![User Image](https://i149.photobucket.com/albums/s73/ShidoniOneeChan/Pets/Fifth Age/1- Certs/5- Adult/th_snorri.jpg) "I agree... but it can be hard to find those of a like mind these days..." her voice was almost wistful as she smiled, wholly trusting of the stranger before her. "I am Vera."
Snorri was taking the initiative as the girls spoke among themselves, busying himself instead with dealing with this grandson of his who just continued to whine and whine. He got it. The boy didn't feel good. That didn't mean he needed to bother everynaiad with those thoughts. Why, he'd have a word with his son about raising kids as a firm parent when they got back where they belonged: the lake.
They seemed to be making some decent progress towards the residential areas when the lights cut off unexpectedly. Well, unexpectedly due to how focused he'd been on the task at hand. He didn't like this darkness - it seemed to eat at the edges of his very soul - but he knew better than to do anything rash in such a situation, less he worry the ill-tempered on in his arms to the ladies behind him.
In and out. Calm the mind.
"Are the lot of you alright?" he turned his head behind him, blind, to confirm the safety of the two girls. While the words did not seem rushed, there was a sense of urgency in his tone that he had been unable to hide. After all, he knew better than anynaiad what such darkness could mean for the pair.
Vera and Azalea had followed after her husband, making small-talk with Pearl when the lights cut off. "Everything's going to be alright..." she softly cooed to nonaiad in particular, her heart racing as she tried to maintain her composure despite the panic threatening to break through her chest.
After all, she was afraid of the dark.
Her head lifted and she bit her lip at the sound of her beloved's voice, tears forming and nearly escaping from the edges of her eyes. "We-we're fine!" she returned, her voice shaky.
In what seemed like no time, cherubs were escorting the lot out. They were even helping support the weight of the two ill ones, to which Vera turned to them, pleading that they get them to their rooms so they could rest. Yet none listened to her, nor did they even appear to be registering what she said at all. "Please, just get these two--"
Her voice stopped, caught in her throat, as they reached the outside.
"Charybdis' depths..."
All the strength in Vera's legs departed, her figure slowly falling to the ground as she stared, wide-eyed, at a scene that she couldn't have possibly imagined in her darkest of nightmares. Her arms hung lifelessly beside her unmoving form as she simply stared forward.
[Arrow Effect: N/A - SICK]
"Pearl!?!" Autumn about shrieked as he looked over, all feeling of illness seemingly dissipating instantly as his adrenaline kicked into his system. He about clawed himself forward, wings beating behind him as he wriggled out of his grandfather's grip and lurched himself towards the girls. His vision was tunneled, focused on nothing save for his girlfriend, as he dived forward to grab her wrist. His grip was likely tighter than he would have usually used with her, fueled by his fear.
He pulled her towards him, turning. "We gotta go now!"
Running soon after the sprite, Snorri's voice was a combination of worry and anger. "Get yourself back here boy or I'll-- Vera...?!"
"Now!" Autumn pulled one more time, forcefully pulling her with him whether or not she'd had any of intention of going. He went off in the direction from where he'd come, unstopping as he passed by his family and continued further in the direction of the forest.
Oh damn it all he did not have enough time for all of this! Choosing to prioritize his wife and the woman who'd helped over his grandson and friend, no matter the scolding he was likely to receive later, he continued forward and crouched down before the unresponsive naiad. He placed a hand on her shoulder, looking straight into her eyes. "Vera... C'mon Vera snap outta this; we ain't got time to be dallying around right now! You're going to get yourself hurt!"
He turned to look up at the woman who'd accompanied them, his expression serious. While it might have seemed he was irritated in some form, his body language conveyed no such emotion. "You - I ain't got a clue what your name it - but are you okay?"

Junior had to fight to keep himself from growling any further. With this dark, whatever it was, but he couldn't imagine a stabbed shoulder was a good thing. And something then started chewing on his leg. Growling again. This time loud enough for the other parties to know he wasn't thrilled. Maybe the little nuisance on his leg would get off if he just growled loud enough. "Get off my leg you little sh- Junior stopped himself, reaching up to grab whatever was lodged into his shoulder.
"Whoever you are, whatever this is..." Oh he was angry. Furiously fuming. Nereus was in danger and this was no way to keep her safe. "Get this damn thing out of my arm." The demon growled, yanking it out himself. He issued a grunt of pain, but also tugged on it away from him or his wife.
"You. Male. Take this bloody thing and get that woman out of here." Not a suggestion. If sight would be any good he'd have flared his wings in a show of intimidation. But not only was Nereus behind him, the darkness felt like it was creeping up on them, and he needed to get her out of there. Protect all that was pure and holy. "Nereus, are you hurt? Did they get you too?" He asked, much less angry sounding than he had only seconds before.
And they were being escorted out of the building. Junior was furious again. He would have been growling if they hadn't been instantly pummeled with weird little bat things. As it was, he was trying to keep the things away from his wife. A challenge indeed, with only one good arm. "To the beach?" He asked, swiping at another one of those annoying bat things.
The nymph would've grinned, but there was someone growling at her. She was terrified. How was that even possible? Nicky would've clung tight to Bal if she hadn't had the spear yanked out of her hands and then thrust at Baliel. Nicky squeaked when she was forced to release her hold on the spear.
Abby nearly raced through the corridors, searching for her daughter. They may not talk often anymore, but she knew that the girl was there. Whatever was in this dark, she had to get through whatever it was and get to her daughter. That pae she had come here with. Who knew if she could trust him to take care of Dominique?
The demi was frustrated when a cherub corralled her and forced her outside. She couldn't go! Not without her daughter! Abby was furious, but she didn't have a choice. Whatever creepy thing was inside, the cherubs assured her that Dominique would be escorted out very shortly if she hadn't gotten out already. Abby was on the verge of ripping out her hair when she was pelted in the head with a weird flying thing. She let out a scream of shock, trying to get it out of her hair. It was stuck. Abby screamed a little more, finally getting it out, and getting pelted with another, and another. Was anyone else getting attacked with these things? She looked around and saw everyone else getting hit too.
Where was Nicky?! "NICKY!!!" She yelled, searching, desperate. Where was her daughter?!
Tartara Seabreeze Do I really need to list all the pae?
DaemonGabrielle Junior tried to ignore the literal ankle biter Nicky has forgotten about the poor tiki cat
Sweetie giggled, glad they had finally made it to a room. With the lights off, it was almost like they were getting away with something.
The fauny was in mid moan and completely flushed when a cherub came in to chase them out of the room. "Hu-bu-wha?" She squeaked, trying not to look like they'd just been caught. Oh sweet Celestia what had the cherub just seen? But they were being ushered out. How creepy was this in here? Maybe they could ditch this annoying interrupter and resume their fun outside.
Jean chuckled, "The only woman I'm interested in pleasing is you, my beautiful Saira." He resisted nuzzling her shoulder. Just how cheesy was he going to get?
"Tell me, what do you do to keep your feathers so perf-" The naiad was interrupted by a cough. A nosy cherub clearly wanted to join them. Jean tried not to frown, he wanted Saira to himself, not to share with another.
"Excuse me, you two need to come with me. Now." The cherub chirped, ready to pelt them with his tiny fists until they complied. He had others to escort out.
The naiad sighed, getting up. "May I offer you a hand Saira?" He asked, smiling into the blackness at the lovely lady before him. There was no way he was going to be able to argue with the annoying cherub.

Harmon laughed deeply, the sound far more rumbling than it ever had been when he was a female. That alone was disconcerting. May those cherubs never leave his brother alone! "My brothers aren't protective like that." He was pretty sure not a one of them cared, as could be said of her as well. He had nothing against anyone his siblings took an interest in, baring gender reassignment shenanigans. "Now my father on the other hand..." There was a dramatic pause, playful sparkle of the eye and a cheeky grin to follow. However, as quickly as he made the implication he squashed it, "Wouldn't be concerned either." Waving off the humor of it all, he had no reason to believe over protective fathers might have been at one time a real concern or possibly traumatizing.
Trista was right about that, "Always something, " Really it was amazing mortals still came to these parties. Something was always trying to eat them, it seemed.Still, if the dark was the worst thing to occur they'd be in great shape. Too bad he couldn't take advantage of it as she would have. Curse of never ending cherubs on you!
Even so, he took a great deal of comfort having his champion in his hands, an arm around her made him feel more at ease even with the shifting shadows. Mother ordered them to usher the mortals outside, really it was a great idea. Moon and stars made for a romantic lighting and would surely be a great way to finish the dance.
He followed the order with his champion still unwilling to be apart from her. Once they were all outside and could see, it would be different.
How different became apparent when they stepped outside. Everything was horror to the point it was hard to comprehend just what he was seeing. Ignoring the bats he looked around frantically for a weapon of some sort. Fighting was its own harmony.
There, his lantern he allowed the cherubs to use. Reaching over he retried the metalwork lantern. Not only would the light prove useful, both to see and possibly repel but he could try focusing his abilities into it and see if the harmony could spread.
Though he gave his champion another squeeze, he didn't even attempt to get in the way. They would fight, of course they would fight, side by side. He didn't have a physical weapon besides the lantern but there was more to the item than met the eye.
Grendell was very reluctant to follow the Deities out, she was enjoying her time with Lief. Really they were rude to interrupt! Still she ended up relenting, promising to finish what they started. Upon going outside, she decided right then and there that 'nope' was her answer. Turning on her heel the nymph made no attempt to fight, "Come on Lief, to the jungle until this clears up."She had better things to do, mainly one thing and that was far more important than entertaining those bats. She lived in a tree area and Lief was clearly amazing, the two of them would do fine for a few hours as things blow over.
Tartara Seabreeze Tristen and Harmonia fighting, Harmonia has the lantern Grendell getting the heck out of dodge to the jungle
Lillibeth didn't want to leave her beloved and was all the more distressed when the light went out. How could she sing to her darling if she couldn't see her? The call to leave was reluctantly followed, Persephone would be out there too right? Maybe she could impress the love of her life under the stars and moon light.
Only there were no stars or moon light, just blood red hellscape. Okay, this she could handle. How she'd win the affections of her love if she showed she was capable! Lillibeth wasted no time taking to the air and screeching right back at one of the bats taking chase above the party goers. Partly this was to distract the bats as best she could and allow the partiers to go in safety as it was to impress someone vital to her.
Thanks to the Arrow Lillibeth was doing a haphazard job for everyone instead of focusing on her Lady as she really should have been.

When he at first took the darkness in stride, any trace of mirth was gone when Monroe suddenly stuck to him like sap on a tree. He squeezed his arm around her comfortingly. "I won't."
Thankfully it didn't look like they'd be in darkness for long. Cherubs began ushering them out, and he carefully but firmly led them to the outdoors. "Hey, look, we can salvage this night. It looks like we're moving the party outside!"
Only when they actually got outside it was a scene straight out of nightmare. Blood red sky, and weird bat pae swarming all around! He had to protect Monroe! In a strike of luck, he remembered the dagger tucked into his belt. With one arm still around his date, he fumbled for it and quickly brandished the blade. "STAY AWAY! Leave us alone!" He yelled while swiping the weapon at one who came a little too close.
Wolfs Heart Gray and Monroe are in the fight!
"Oh good, I was worried there for a moment." She joked warmly about the brothers.
Then he mentioned fathers. The blood all but drained from her face. Snake pae? Fine. Her wicked sister? Manageable. Fathers like Kurt? Her heart skipped a beat. Her panic was short lived though as Harmon quickly reassured her. Of course. Yeah. Harmonia was a Goddess -er God at the moment-, he probably didn't have over protective fathers who would threaten to kill her if she broke their heart. Kind of like what she did with Sunny. Oh Goddess what a mess that was.
She looked up as Venus beckoned everyone outside. Back to the party, a wonderful idea. But something still didn't feel right. There was always something.
Sure enough, when they reached the outside the fae wished she could say she was surprised. Seemed pretty similar to two years ago with the Naga attack. "I swear my love, if it weren't for you I think I'd stop attending these 'parties'." She still had her small blade in one hand, but now that they were out in the open she focused it into a fine sword. "And if I must fight, I'm glad I have you in my corner."
Things were just getting...steamy when they were ushered out. Talk about a block. He all but glared at the cherubs as they forced them out of the ballroom. This was most displeasing to his wonderful Grendell! He needed to worship her more!
Annnd...WELL. Bat pae. His eyes went wide at the sight. "What in the..." He was beyond willing to follow her off toward the Jungle. It was clearly the best option with plenty of hiding places. He didn't have a power, no weapon. He'd be useless in a fight. Much better to hide with his adored Gren and make sure she was as comfortable and happy as possible.
Evilsilverdragon Tristen and Harmonia stayed to fight fight fight! Leif and Grendell are high-tailing to the Jungle

Tika froze, was the big pae hugging her? How strange. Wrestling in the middle of a party was not strange, but hugging in the middle of a party was. Tika continued to wrestle the pae, and seemed to actually be gaining on him, the darkness had appeared to have given her the benefit (though she could not see in it either).
When large masses of pae began to move out of the dance hall, Tika was knocked off the big pae. It was too dark to find him, and she still had a score to settle with him. "Ita oppa!" Tika shouted, through the thick darkness, hoping that the big blue pae would here her, and somehow understand that they were to continue their match.
Tika was ushered around with the rest of the pae into the outside world which was a different sort of dark. Maybe she could find the blue pae now and continue their ritual! "Acha booty!" Tika called out for the blue pae, but instead of finding the blue pae, she was swarmed by the strange bat pae. Beneath her mask, Tika glared at the bat pae for getting in the way of her and her blue pae. He would pae the price. Tika turned into the tiniest of warriors as she fought back against the bat pae.
