Nonsense! Break out that paper and pencil! An artist will improve the more she draws on paper. digital drawings only make your art prettier with special effects and colors.
You could shoot for the Pen tool if you have a mouse. o3o;

My shading is horrible.
:E
I take forever on that part, but i'm a bit hesitant 'cause there is no undue button on actual paper, so I don't want to ruin the drawing. Although, what's there to hurt?

Gimp right? It's called the paths tool, right next to the eye dropper (color picker)
Edit: I'm the opposite. I prefer to draw but I drag on 'cause I need to color. I never can color the same way.

Oooh that one.
I actually need to find my own style for drawing, I seem like I always copy people's styles. So my drawings is actually rarely be the same style <<;; Nyaa, I really have to stop copying things.
I'm still practicing on my shading. You just need to follow the light where you wanted it to be. Lighter colors are supposed to be the ones near the light and darker colors are the ones that are far away from the light. If there is an obstacle that's blocking the light then it should be dark, simple right? Nahh not really. I think shading the hair is the hardest D:
Edit: Ack, look at chur avvie. Its pretttyyy > w<;;
