Kyo tried to keep his balance on the board, but it was harder than he thought. After a few seconds, he felt that he was having trouble keeping his weight even all over his body. He began to tip over one side, and the board seemed to tilt as well. Everything seemed to happen in slow motion, despite knowing that the ramp wasn't so steep.

Gikishou cursed and quickly caught him, the board still going. "You okay?Next time, you wanna lean forward just a little bit to stabilize yourself. You'll speed up a bit, but you'll be able to stay on." He said, seeing Joe bring the board back over. "At the bottom, you can straighten up again."

Kyo had expected to hit the ground, but instead he felt arms wrapping around him. He looked up to see Giki-san saying something to him, but for a moment he didn't know what he was trying to say. It was probably some skateboarding advice.

Gikisohu righted the boy and noticed that he was a little out of it. He smiled and repeated what he said when he was sure Kyo was paying attention before helping him back on the board. "Ready?"

When Kyo had finally slipped out of his daze he now heard the advice clearly. He nodded once Giki-san asked if he was ready, eager to try riding down the ramp again while using the advice to help him out.

GIkishou smiled and repeated the startup process, watching Kyo carefully to make sure the other wouldn't fall without him being there to catch him. He didn't hear Joe saying 'love-struck loony.'

Kyo leaned forward as the board rolled down the ramp. For a moment he felt his speed increase, but he didn't fall this time. As he successfully reached the bottom of the ramp, there came yet another problem. How would he be able to stop?

GIkishou smiled as the board slowed down,steadying him.He chuckled and taught him how to stop,and as he leaned down slightly to give him some more advice,he was pushed forward by Kani to accidentally kiss Kyo.He quickly pulled away. "Kani!"

For a moment, Kyo panicked as he heard whispers around him. His throat seemed to close up and refuse to let in any air. He tried to breathe, but all he knew was that there was no oxygen rushing into his lungs and he could hear an unfamiliar choking sound. When was the last time this happened? Kyo couldn't concentrate on remembering, but he did know that this had happened before.

Gikishou noticed and gave him mouth-to-mouth like before. He sighed in relief as the other began to breathe again. He hugged him and closed his eyes. "Here.... Joe'll keep helping you. I need to talk to Kani." He led Kani over behind a ramp, and everyone immediately went to eavesdrop.
"He does that every time, Kani! You could have killed him!"
"I didn't know! Besides, you're so far in love with him I'll bet a day without him at your side would drive you crazy!"
"I want him to be safe!"
"From what? Joni has given up, and by now all the other bullies know not to touch him. You're keeping him around you all the time and protecting him because you love him!"
"... I promised not to push him. if or when he chooses someone else... I'll let him go. Just don't make us kiss on accident again."

Kyo was a bit dizzy from recovering from the panic, but after a little while he began to feel better. When Giki-san and his friend had walked behind the ramp, he couldn't help but wonder why people gathered there. Wasn't the conversation that would be occuring there private?

"Yeah, you won't push him, but you'll be regretting that your entire life! You're too full of pride to even admit that it would kill you to let him go!" He retorted, by now their voices being loud enough to heard clearly from the other side of the park. Gikishou frowned.
"Yes, it'll hurt. Yes, I'll end up regretting it if he chooses someone else. Yes, I won't ever be the same again, but forcing him to like me would be wrong!"
"It's wrong to show that you love him and that you'd treat him like he was heaven on earth?!"
"IT'S WRONG NOT TOGIVE HIM A CHOICE!" He closed his eyes. "come on, Kyo's skating lesson isn't finished yet.I need to demonstrate stopping for him.

"Love?" Kyo whispered, though only to himself. So love was the reason why Giki-san had been protecting him? But what kind of love? Brotherly? Romantic? Well, it seemed to lean more to the romantic side, since he heard something about choosing someone. But what exactly had they been fighting about?

Gikishou put on a smile as he came back. "Hey Kyo, sorry I took so long. Ready to try out stopping?" He asked, hoping the other hadn't heard anything,though he knew that was a futile hope.

"Giki-san, what kind of love do you have for me?" Kyo suddenly blurted out. As soon as he spoke, he couldn't stop talking until everything was out of his system. "Your conversation had something to do with me, I know, and it also had to do with something related to love."
