Well, it was a few years ago... I was living with my uncle at the time, and he found his best friend, who just happeend to be my chemistry teacher, letting me read a few of the Level C manga (there was probably more than just him lending me the manga but we wont go into that). Needless to say my uncle was pissed at his friend alot more than at me, the innocent one. Can't rememeber him doing anything other than saying something like "I can no longer leave you two alone for long periods of time." redface

I haven't lived with my parents for two years. -thinks- They weren't really into manga/anime at all either way, but they didn't care if I liked it. My mom would raise an eyebrow and say "How can you like this crap?" but wouldn't sotp me from buying it. My dad.. well, I can't really imagine what his reaction would be. e'd probably think it was disgusting, but they wouldn't look through the manga or anything to see what it was about. My brother Mike always though I was reading hentai/yaoi/yuri even if it was something wasn't. He's just perverted I guess.. lol.

My sister, who I'm living with, occasionally looks at the cover or flips through it. She just says "interesting" and walks off. My 5-year old niece walked in on my watching yaoi. It didn't bother her, but at the same time I don't know if she knew what was happening. lol.

The funniest thing to happen to me about that though, I was reading my manga in school, and my french teacher flipped through the book when I was away. She said it looked like a good book. xD Haha! It's funny, because she really isn't into manga/anime as far as I know.. lol.

I don't think it had all that much to do with luck. I think that he doesn't understand, or possibly doesn't really want to know.. Although, he is happy that I'd rather watch, read, or draw, rather than going out there and actually have sex. He just does that whole nod your head and smile thing.

Oh man... I finally just got caught a week or two ago. I was eating at a restaurant with my mom after buying some manga (not even really yaoi, just Death Note and Gravitation), and all of a sudden she says, "Would it embarass you if I asked you about your reading materials?"

Turns out she'd already known about it for a while... and doesn't mind. She says I'm "quirky" and suspects I'm bi now.

My dad, on the other hand, is either really oblivious or really unconfrontational. He's ordered two whole boxes of BL for me so far, some of which was 18+. Hasn't said anything at all. o___O

Me: "Hey! You can't do that!"

Mom: "Why? I just want to look at it."

Me: "That's not a good idea." *trys to pull it away from her and a tug-of-war begins*

Mom: "What's your problem? Is it something bad!? Are you watching bad shows? Now that I think of it I don't remember you buying this!"

Me: "No! You know I don't like bad shows. They're gross! It's just something that would embarass me if you knew I liked it."

Mom: "Tell me then or I won't leave."

Me: "....err. It has romance in it!"

Mom: "Oh, then. As long as it's not bad. You shouldn't be ashamed of liking romance. It makes a story better.

Me: sweatdrop "Okay..."

Mom: *Looks at front cover again, not noticing it's two guys*

Me: "I'll need that back now."

I don't think my parents would even notice I owned any BL at all. seriously. My mom sees me in a top SHE bought me, and goes "Nice top, when'd you buy it?"
And she borrows mangas I already own from the library xD My dad is even worse!

I've never been caught reading or viewing yaoi I don't know what I'd tell my mom if she caught me watching an "Enzai" ova eek I dunno what she would do, I know I would have know clue what to do, But I plan on telling her when she's ready (eh....I'm ready as well) I've almost been caught many times but I luckily can move fast enough to hide it or just minimize it, plus it good that my mom is bliss rolleyes she doesn't even bother to look at what I'm doing (but I only read manga around her on the inernet
the vids I watch when she's not around) and plus my mom doesn't seem to know me very well, so I guess she would never think of me veiwing something like it, not only that I draw it all the time but she never comes up to see what I'm drawing

and once she was searching for something and she picked up my drawing to see if it was under ther right at the bottom was some yaoi my heart started beating fast, and I helped he by getting it out of the way and taking out if her hand rofl she saw my comic but I don't think she really noticed anything since she was preocupied searching for something
(the guys in the drawing were right on top of each other and were going to kiss) I can't belive she missed that.... eek

But I don't know what would happen My mom's had 3 gay friends before and heck they were even my babysitter's when I was younger, and I've told her about my bi friends so I guess it will all happen when the time comes

The only one of my family that know's that I like yaoi is my older brother
so he takes the liberty of commenting my profile with yaoi pics which I like, but he over does it

i have by my sister who then told my mom.I don't know how i did it but explained it in a way where she couldn't argue with me haveing it ...if it had been my dad he would either killed me or asked me if he could borrow it.
