Her heart soared as Darias agreed to the wedding, and she let out the most delighted and elated laugh of her life as she happily threw her arms around him. "Thank you" she smiled up at him with adoration and joy lighting her eyes. She knew that they should probably wait until back at the ship and be married ON the ship, that their kids would be particularly upset (oh sirens, her own daughter would murder her for not being able to frufru her mother up). On the flip side, none of the crew would know, which could be a blessing in itself....
The storm suddenly raged and the lights went out. Out of habit, Andromeda reached for her cutlass, only to remember she'd left it back in the room because this was supposed to be a harmless party. With a small frown, she reached around Darias to feel for any cutlery. She found a spoon.
Aquarious appreciated Thulani, she really did. He was always so patient with her, especially since she was usually so introverted about her feelings. Her smiles were small when they graced her face, and often she held a more calm and neutral expression. So when the change had happened, and Thulani developed his feline features, never once had she doubted how much she cared and needed him. She didn't care so much about the social fall out, and while she hadn't mentioned it to Thulani yet, she'd been looking into leaving the City and traveling to one of the villages instead. Ideally, they would be a lot more accepting, and the smaller community would be more comfortable for her to live in. She was planning on broaching the subject on the return trip.
While Thulani's instinct was to step in front of her, Aquarious' reaction to the danger was to grab a fork from the banquet table to arm herself with. Looking up at him, she smiled and nodded. "Yeah, it's getting a little intense in here." The crack of thunder caused her to jump, and she looked around to see if there were any windows to see what was going on. She hadn't thought there was a storm coming in. When the lights went out, she stepped into Thulani and took his elbow, blinded.

Azalea smiled warmly to Vera as she helped take the weight of lifting Pearl. "I'm happy to help; I'd hope that if something were to happen to me, I'd receive as well. My name is Azalea, by the way."
Gently, she shifted Pearl's weight, turning her attention to her. "So, tell me about yourself. What's your name and favorite color? What do you like to do?" It wasn't just small talk she was making, but attempting to take Pearl's mind off of her discomfort.

Serendipity could have sworn that several eternities had passed before Iordanes could be seen making his way back to her. With a laugh of delight, she fit easily into his embrace and gleefully returned his passionate kiss. "I am always yours, was there any doubt?" She kissed him once more, enjoying the warmth of his arms wrapped around her.
The moment was broken, first by a sudden onslaught of cherubs, seemingly infinite in their offerings. It had been one at first, then another... and then another... and soon multiple were flocking around, swarming almost in their polite helicopter hospitality. Standing on her tiptoes, she whispered into Iordane's ear, really wanting to get away from these annoying distractions. "Know any place we can hide away in?"
The sudden blackout startled her, she wasn't expecting to be plunged into darkness. Instinctively, she held to Iordanes, reaching around to the bar to grab hold of anything she could use in defense. Her fingers grasped around a metal handle, and she lifted it in expectation of it being some utensil only to find it had weight to it. She focused on how it felt in her hand, realizing that there was a bit of ornate decoration in it. Well, at least it had some weight to it, so she could use it, whatever IT was.

Jean grinned, making gentle circles on her hip with his fingers. "What stunning eyes you have. The way they sparkle..." How had he not noticed that earlier? And the lights cut out. Well, that wasn't so different than swimming in the depths. The naiad leaned towards this lust worthy woman.
"A pae could get lost in bliss sitting here next to you." He continued, his fingers tracing just a little higher than before. The opalescent naiad quite enjoyed her touch on his flushed skin. Her feathers against his scales. Seemed like the absolute best combination in the world.
Sweetie's arms went up in another flex, proving to herself that she wasn't off the hook for that yet. But then, Dysmas seemed to like it. And she wanted Dysmas to like everything she did. Celestia did she want him. The lights going out didn't phase her in the least. If anything, it served to make her bolder.
The fauny smirked, pressing herself against his body. "The lights are out, no one else would notice if we..." She trailed off, letting the suggestion linger. Even if they didn't here, there were all those doors along the way to the dance floor. Maybe they could just pop in there for a little while?

No one would hear a single complaint from Gray with Monroe not moving away. He could stay like that the rest of the night. But she knew how he felt, if only she had gotten to answer before...
"Even if the lights go out, the night won't end. For us at least. We'll think of something!" He said confidently, already thinking of their options of things to do in the dark. For now though, her attention was on the floor. And then looked horrified at it. Following her gaze he quickly saw why.
What...were her parents doing? "Um...yeah, yeah I agree. A snack is good." He slipped his arm from around her, to down her arm to take her hand. The angel just started on his way towards the food table however, when the lights went off again.
And didn't come back on. Instantly he halted so not to run into any pae he couldn't see. "Oh crabgrass. Those lights didn't hang on very long at all...Hopefully this place has candles after all!"
She quickly nodded to another dance, wanting to cram as many as she could before the night was done. The female rested her head upon his shoulder to begin...and the lights went dark. Again. But didn't come back on. "Oh no...Junior..." This was going to dampen their date! She'd hate to think him let down, her wonderful, brave, sweet husband who deserved the best life had to offer.

The only reason Dysmas noticed that the lights went out was because he could not longer admire the person his body lusted for. He didn't care that the lights went out though, it made every touch of every finger tip that much more sensuous.
"...slipped away for a bit..."Dysmas said, completing Sweetie's thought. He may have been crazy as heck for her, but he still had the sense to seek out a bit more privacy. "Come on, lets get off this dance floor and find somewhere else to... play." He tugged her, not letting go of her hand, he didn't want to lose her in the dark.
It was a walk littered with bumps and bruises. A table and chair here, a pae there, he didn't even apologize, his blood was not currently pumping to the courteous part of his brain. He knew the general direction that he was going to to get to the private rooms. Dysmas' free hand searched out the door handle and he opened it. "Hello?" He called out, waiting for a response.

Junior didn't blink at the lights going out. Mostly it wasn't a huge deal to him. Sure, it was dark as a night with no moon or stars, but that was when the bear's nose came in handy. Speaking of smell, oh guardians how could Nereus stand to wear that all night long? She had to be so horribly bothered by that itching! How he could deny her anything when she was so strong...
"Perhaps we'll move this to the refreshment pools?" Junior offered, thinking she deserved the best in life. Without waiting for her answer, he already knew what she'd say. He grinned, sniffing the air as he led them towards the nearest pool of water. She wouldn't have a thing to worry about. No, she deserved the best night he could possibly offer her. She was so amazing.
They'd almost arrived when Junior froze, winced, and sucked in air through his teeth. That smarted something fierce. How bad had he just rammed his shoulder into something? "Ouch..." The demon froze, instantly realizing that he hadn't slammed his shoulder onto anything. He'd just been stabbed by something! What in the blazes was that?! And it was still in his arm!
His pain turned to a low growl, not wanting to take a step back and disturb the amazing evening for Nereus, but needing whoever had just stabbed him to get away from his wife.
Nicky squeaked, hearing a growl come from behind them. "Baliel, my Love, something is really angry at us!" She tried to look for it, but everything was dark. Darker than usual! And the spear she was trying to hand to Love (Baliel) was heavy. Like really heavy. Was there someone on the end of the sharp pointy stick?!

Monroe was relieved that Gray had relieved, as much as she had wanted to dance with him more, she was pretty certain the dance floor was now contaminated, perhaps for the rest of the evening. So much for more dancing, but she would enjoy their time together none-the-less.
Monroe hadn't forgotten about his question, but she wanted to wait until they got away and stopped moving to answer him.
She thought that they would stop moving when they got to the food bar, but when the darkness descended on them, Monroe froze. She clung tightly to Gray, feeling complete terror. The lights going out was not all the romance she had hoped it would be. It was something completely different, it felt heavy and cold. She couldn't see a single thing. "Don't let go of me." She told him, a very real fear clear in her voice.

Whether or not she'd had something she'd been expecting at all, Saira hadn't quite expected such a cool, smooth feeling from touching his body. It was entirely different from her own heat, not abnormally warm or cold, but certainly warmer than his own. It was almost refreshing, really.
And more than anything, it made the warmth grow.
Smiling (not that he could see), she narrowed her eyes at the darkness and sighed as she felt herself leaning against him, her grip around his shoulder the only thing seemingly strong. With an almost euphoric voice, she cooed back, "Yes, keep talking to me like that; I adore it~ You sure know how to please a woman, don't you?"

Despite the deep compassion he held, Thulani wasn't the most observant of pae when it came to subtleties of the heart. Until Aquarious maid mention of moving, he'd likely be unaware of the potential topic of it all. Even then, or perhaps especially then, it would come as quite a shock.
As the lights went out, he instinctively turned his head to look around, his eyes changing shape and becoming feline to match with other components of his body. This change, however, was temporary; soon enough, he found even his enhanced vision had no reprise for the darkness swarming them, engulfing them even. As such, they returned to normal and his whiskers twitched, hand sliding down to take Aquarious'.
He didn't like this...
Not. One. Bit.
Next were his ears, changing shape into those of the leopard and moving to rest atop his head. The flicked, trying to catch any sounds that might explain the source of the sudden blackout. His voice was soft as he addressed his love. "Errythan' gun be alrigh'."

She didn't mind Iordanes leaving in a hurry for his own sweetheart. It was understandable. After all, she wanted to spend every moment possible with Harmonia. "I look forward to meeting them! I won't get the whole, older brother talk though will I?" He spoke with a chuckle. He didn't know anything about that really as he was pretty open to any relationship his siblings wanted to do. But he's known quite a few older brothers who weren't.
Then the lights went out. One minute they were on, the next, gone. She blinked rapidly in the darkness, trying to adjust her eyesight as Harmonia suddenly gripped her. "It wouldn't be a Venus party if something like this didn't happen, would it?" Still, she wrapped an arm around the God as she focused on her free hand. Feeling the love she felt for her lover, it was easy to conjure a small dagger. Fighting seemed to also come up in Venus' party.
No one else compared to him! Oh how she flattered him! She was so gracious, his gorgeous Grendell.
They were steadily approaching the rooms when the lights went out. Just, out. He stopped walking in surprise as he tried to see in the darkness. But it was pitch black. An almost, suffocating pitch black. His mind quickly went back however on his date, as she pressed up against him. A deep blush as she wrapped her arms around him. But it wasn't like anyone could see what they were doing.
Taking her cue, he gauged where her face would be based on her height as the female was embraced, and kissed her. He missed to her cheek, but just edged over to find her lips.
How exciting. A little fun in the dark~

He said her name! It sounded so sweet coming from her. She got little goosebumps.
Then the lights went off completely. No more flickering, no additional warning, just off. Her eyes widened in surprise. What a storm! She felt something on her arm before realizing it was Wellspring. He was so warm and comforting. She scooted even closer to him. How sweet he was to be caring about how she felt! He probably made an amazing boyfriend.
Not that she'd ever get to know that. He'd never ask her out. Probably would never even want to see her again. But she couldn't help but get close to him. Close enough that she could feel the heat radiating off his body and his breath against her cheek. "Y-yeah. I typically have really good eyesight...but this is really, really dark." She reached up with her opposite arm from the one he was touching, to place her hand on top of his. "It's a little weird not being able to see." Slightly unnerving too. Who knew however how much of that was due to the power outage or being so close to such a tantalizing pae. She never felt this way before, wanting him to notice her. To accept who she was and whisk her away like a fairytale.

One could about cut the sexual tension emitting from him with a knife. Each of her movements, be they the small hairs on her arm or the way her breath kissed his skin, brought a new, heightened sensation to him. And her hand... oh it was even softer than her arm! Again he swallowed, his mouth dry, a single strand of sweat dripping down his chin.
Then his hand began to move again, ever so slowly tracing up her forearm to her shoulder, feeling the exquisite form of her clavicle before continuing up her next and to the edge of her chin. His mind wall telling him, demanding him to stop this absurdity and back off, but his body was no longer listening.
Without sight to back up his thoughts, he was weak to resist the fire continuing to grow within.
He didn't seem to register any of her words as his hands hesitated there, waiting for a resistance he hoped, yet never expected, to come. After all, she was the one who had been seducing him since the beginning. Asking for it, really.
It couldn't be helped.
None of this was his fault.
Even if she told him no at this point, he wasn't sure he could stop himself. Twisting his grip to grab hold of her chin and putting pressure into his fingers, he pulled her towards his face, stopping when he could clearly feel the warmth of each of her breaths against his lips. He simply paused, not speaking nor moving to release his grip. Instead, he waited for her reaction, almost calculatingly curious as to what it would be: surprise, disgust, fear? Any would be warranted against him, of course. They were all emotions he felt towards himself after all.
