Iñigo had grown to be increasingly irritated over this game. His arm felt as if it was seriously hurt, or maybe even fractured...to the point where he almost couldn't swing. But then he saw that Cameron Rowley had the nerve to send another bludger at him. Well, that wouldn't do for him. He dodged it, caught up to the same bludger and attempted to bat it straight at Cameron Rowley
And his arrogance, that was where it killed him. He had gotten arrogant and had thought that maybe he could get revenge, but that's not how it worked out. The boy had missed and missed big time. He swung his arm too hard, revealing his hurt arm to the bludger, the bludger smashed into his arm, but this time would be the last. Iñigo could no longer go any further. He instantly landed and fell to the ground, completely writhing in pain. He almost couldn't take it, but he would hold here on the ground until the pain either subsided or he was assisted, because despite the fire that he displayed...the desire to play...he knew this was enough. He wasn't even going to try to hit a bludger because it hurt too bad.

And caught. He tossed the ball over to Xavier, and then winced, knowing he was going into the lion's den with this one now. He signaled for Echo to come take over his position and then winced, knowing he was making himself the prime target for his brother. This was not going to be fun at all.. He left the hoops as Echo got there and started looking, hoping he wasn't crazy enough to think he could spot the snitch and be completely wrong.

spaceEcho frowned when Rick signaled him; why was he getting summoned? He was the reserve Keeper, they were down a Beater and their Seeker, what reason would their captain possibly have for calling him in...? When the seventh year explained, Echo went a bit pale. He'd take over Keeping... so that Rick could take the Seeker spot. They didn't have a reserve, so the captain was filling in. Which meant... Echo had to play. He frowned; this... sort of sucked, really. But, he had a job to do, right? So, the second year mounted his broom and shot up to the goals, hoping that he could pull his off. This game was getting strange...

Was it really that easy? Rick didn't think so, but he had to guess that wasn't the case. He was just not lucky enough for that. However, he did give chase to the snitch, urging his Cleansweep forward, hoping that Jacob wouldn't do something stupid like smack a bludger at him. He doubted that, since Jacob usually focused on seekers.

Rick was in the middle of chasing the snitch when something slammed into him from behind. Biting his tongue, he continued on, not letting his focus wander from the snitch. Dang it, he needed to really get that tiny ball.

Rick was almost there. He didn't know what the other seeker was doing, but he guessed he was still searching. Narrowing his eyes, he leaned forward, using a technique that Shina used many times in games and flattened himself to his broom, trying at least to eliminate his air resistance.

Rick finally caught up to the golden ball and reached out, trying to grab it. This was the hard part. The balls he usually had to deal with were a lot larger. Plus, they were usually thrown at him. Ugh, this was going to be a pain.

Blinking, Rick found his hand closed around the snitch and pulled up, stunned. He... he caught the snitch? What? How? Huh? He stared at the ball in his hand and sat back a bit, wincing. "I caught the snitch?" Well now, that was rather... anticlimactic. Huh. No offence, but he'd rather stick with his keeper duties.

spaceGypsy barely realized what'd happened for a moment. She watched the Gryffindor Chaser try to score, watched their Seeker get knocked out of the sky... she expected Rick to call it off then, because after all, they couldn't win without a Seeker. Instead, though, their Captain called her brother into the game... she figured it out just before her took off after the golden orb, and snickered. Wait, really? Their Keeper was going to play Seeker? Oh, that was hilarious... but, apparently not quite as hilarious as it actually working. The blue-haired girl had completely forgotten her duties as Chaser, but then, it didn't matter, because Rick had barely gone off after the Snitch than he'd caught it. A hand flew to her mouth, and she almost fell off her broom with a loud bark of laughter. She flew back to the ground and practically jumped off her broom and collapse into giggles. "Oh... my... God... Rick caught it! That... is... HILARIOUS!" she declared, butt on the ground, rocking back and forth.
