I had a crush on this guy in 7th grade and one of my best friends was in a class with him plus she knew him a little from before and I asked her if she knew any of the bands he liked and she told me "He likes a band called My Chemical Romance." I looked 'em up and fell in love with them

Well. I first started liking them at the 'Helena' Video. [I'm so bad x3] But They were'nt my favorite band. Green Day was at that point. So then later on that year, Me and my family went to a resturant. Yum. Anywho, we were talking about my Chemical Romance, and then my fugly cousin says: ''OMG LYK NO WAI THEY SUPPORT SLITTING YR WRISTS!!11!!!!' So...I was sorta /banned/ from the band at that time. Thats whenI had an obession with Panic! At The Disco. Blab. x3 Then, FINALLY The video for The Black parade came out, and she asked to the hell it was. I said it was My chemical Romance, and then she said they were good. So I took all my old albums out of hiding =3 And then she bought the new album. The End. O:

But when i saw the video for "Helena" I about died from having seen a various assembly of gods. And i have since then been a faithfull follower of the MCR religion...and even turned some of my friends to the light that is MCR blaugh

about 5 years back I was online researching vampires ((a dark child I was)) and Someone had a shitty flash movie with "Vampires will never hurt you" playing in the back ground, and at the end there was credits that showed the bands name for the song, ((It was a really crappy like someone-recorded-this-at-a-show-on-there-cell-phone reception thing, but I still felt something.)) I found them on eyeball records website, begged and begged until my sister bought me their cd with her credit card, fell in love with it. ^^ Ever since then i've boughten everything on the day it came out, waiting till midnight to see premiers of their music videos on their websites, and mooched until I got enough money to see them live.
They saved me life when my dad was in a coma and I had nothing to live for. No friends and my mom was crazy. Everytime I thought about killing myself i'd cry it out to Helena over and over again and the pain would go away.
I'm not one of those emo "i cut myself because my friends do" kids. but when i was in a rough spot mcr always got me out of it.

Actually, I heard of them around the time they got popular (I'm not Okay). I thoght they were kind of strange, but didn't listen to them (maybe once, on someone's page). I knew who the Way Brothers were. But I thought they looked funny, expecially Mikey. I thought he looked like a hippie-nerd xD
A girl i met on the internet named Haley really made me like them. We were friends because we both liked Green Day at that time. And her second favorite band happened to be My Chem.
Strangely, My first song was Headfirst For Halos. Because she showed it to me. Then I started to listen to Bullets songs, and when Helena came out, then the singles etc.
Then I stopped liking them, because it wasn't the "cool" thing to do. Which I REALLY REGRET.
Then, my friend Eric's like, "Go listen to the new MCR song" It was WTTBP. I was like "jeezy, Why Did I ever quit this obsession? These Guys Rock! (plus I get along with fans easier)"
So yeah video came out and stuff. Still loving them. biggrin

No no one get offended please, I mean no harm, but why are you guys so fickle? I mean why stop liking something that makes you happy cause your friends dont? I get teased all the time for liking them, I have for years. But I still wear the band t-shirts and the buttons and write their lyrics anything I get my hands one. I even sewed on patches to everything from my pants to my underpants. xd
Its just kind of fickle to only start liking them again cause they have a new single that people are agreeing on. crying That's exactly the kind a thing that mcr is trying to convey, dont be afraid to be different. Or messed up. Cause everybody is in different ways.
please dont b***h me out

Word of mouth really, a couple of my internet friends liked them and were telling me about them. And then I heard them at my cousins house and fell in love with the music style and the lyrics. And I haven't looked back since.
