Gage peered away from the Digi-Metal when Jonny approached, “Oh... you’re finally back? Have a good run?” he said sarcastically. “I think Barney is right, this thing is not in our Database. I must have accidentally created something new, I suppose?” he turned it over in his hands once more then slipped it into his bag. Just then there was a small coughing coming from the Veemon, Gage rushed over to the creature’s side and lifted its head up. “Hey, you’re awake?”
The little blue digimon continued coughing as it opened its eyes, it blinked a few times having a difficult time seeing, “Wh-what happened” it managed to utter between coughs.
“You where on the wrong end of a rampage, but I think you are going to be ok now...” Gage removed the wet towel from the Veemons forehead, and then reached for his canteen. “You better drink some water, just take it slow or you will choke.” The veemon gripped the container and started gulping down as much water as he could swallow at once. It started coughing again, “I tried to warn you...”
“Sorry Doc, got carried away...” the veemon suddenly realized it was only about 2 feet tall, “Aw Numemon! What happened to my glorious golden armor?” the small creature cried as it looked over its body.
Gage helped it to sit up, “I have your Metal artifact in my bag, I just wanted to keep it safe until you were feeling better. Would you like it back?”
The veemon was breathing heavily, it was still weak and this awakening was causing him a great deal of stress. “Na, that’s ok Doc... Why don’t you hang onto that!” it looked up at Gage and gave him a weird eyes closed grin, Gage merely arched an eyebrow. “Think I’m going to be sticking with you for a while! You saved my tail so I figure I owe you!”
Gage was shocked, he wasn’t expecting this sort of reaction, “I assure you that is entirely unnecessary...”
“No arguing, I’m fallow’n you whether you like it or not! Nice’ta meet’cha!”

"Er yes I am a Hawkmon..."
'Oh crap!' Terra thought upon seeing all of the Megas.
"A battleground?" Terra repeated, not letting any fear show in her voice, "Fun fun... Well from someone who's been here long enough to know, what the heck's going on?"
"Be polite!" Hawkmon scolded,"We've just barely come here and haven't even said hello!"
'Terra being polite?' Hawkmon sighed inwardly, 'That's not happening...'

in another part of the Jungle Bryan, Amanda, Meleanie and their digimon heard a loud deafening crash.
a huge SkullGreymon thundered out of the underbrush and let out a loud trumpeting call. It's eyes flashed with a mad, bright, scarlet. The trio of tamers stood practically helpless before the immense digimon. In a flash SkullGreymon swiped Penguinmon away - sending her hurtling against a nearby treetrunk.
"PENGUINMON!" Bryan screamed.

Nagato just stood there, ignoring most of the comments, except for a few of jonny's.
"It isn't my stomach. My body is so supercharged with digisoul at the moment, that It may appear that I'm pale. And gage, I'm not clouded with revenge, your career in omega force actually looks....fun, in its own way. But yes, since I see you take an intrest into those digicores like azulongmon's, it wouldn't be past me if your goal was to get all of them. You guys just wait here, I need to get rid of all this extra digisoul before it rips me apart anyway, then I'll get baihumon back from lucemon. With force, of course."
Nagato flew off on metal seadramon, and words could be shouted in the distance, along with seeing metal seadramon digivolve.
(Yes, nagato uses digisoul to digivolve, he just never says what the tamers usually say, but for once, he will.)
"Digisoul...Supercharge. Excess....evolution."
"Metal seadramon....digivolve to....Giga seadramon!"
Nagato continued to pursue zhuqiaomon, fading further and further away from view.

Nagato looked below him, only in disappointment. He saw a skullgreymon hit a penquinmon.
"I think that skullgreymon needs punishment. Dorugoramon."
Dorugoramon flew down to fight skullgreymon, while nagato continued to zhuqiaomon.
Dorugoramon yelled from the air, trying to get skull greymon's attention away from the tamer.
"You, big ugly SOAB, eat this!"
Dorugoramon fired out a huge sphere of fire and metal at skullgreymon, taking care not to hit the tamer or penquinmon.

Jonny watched Nagato run off with an arched eyebrow. He then looked over toward Gage, his eyes full of sympathy for the small blue digimon.
"Well, their's not much we can do about him. He has a head start, and I'm not sure Cyberdramon can catch up to his GigaSeadramon, let alone be able to take on his six megas and FORCE him to give up chasing the sovereign. So, why don't we find somewhere to stay? It's getting kinda dark out, and the little guy's gonna need some rest."
Cyberdramon watched all this, and nodded his agreement over Jonny's shoulder. Jonny turned toward the two other tamers in the clearing, and nodded to them once more.
"You guys can come with us if you want, but we may have to take off pretty early tomorrow morning. We have some personal business to take care of, you understand."
Once more, Jon turned back toward the Omega Squad member. "You know the area better than I do. Anywhere we can lay up for the night?"

"Well, it appears that we've caught up."
Zhuqiaomon turned to face nagato, and his voice boomed across the jungle, so even gage and jonny could hear.
"What is your purpose in chasing me, Human?!"
"I have to destroy you, zhuqiaomon, get ready!"
"It seems you cannot be argued with...Very well!"
Zhuqiaomon fired a large fireball at giga seadramon, which was dodged with the littlest amount of effort. Explosions were seen in the sky as the fight continued, the sky reddening further than it had when megidramon appeared.
Nagato yelled out, his fury rising again.
"In order to destroy lucemon, I need you de-"
Zhuqiaomon interrupted him.
"To destroy lucemon?! You need me defeated to beat him? Even with me gone, no one could ever destroy lucemon!"
"that...that is where you're wrong, zhuqiaomon."
Duftmon appeared behind zhuqiaomon, and dealt the final blow. Nagato took care to get his digitama.
"Now, we need to bring this back to gage."
Giga seadramon took off, but not fast enough for nagato.
"Duftmon...lets go leopard mode."
Duftmon turned to leopard mode, and nagato hopped on, giga seadramon going back into his digivice. They shot off, almost reaching 200 miles per hour at their top speed. Nagato didn't care though, the faster he got this digitama to gage, the faster lucemon was destroyed. They arrived shortly after, duftmon exhausted from the journey, which was shown when he sluggishly went back into nagato's digivice. Nagato walked up to gage, and handed him zhuqiaomon's digitama.
"I have a favor to ask. Could you make me a fake digitama, that looks exactly like that? i need it to fool lucemon."

((Seriously? The third sovereign already? You’re rushing us along a bit... I mean we could have stretched this into another week or so of posting. Kinda takes the journey aspect out of it if you kill everything right away.))
Gage stared blankly at the Veemon, who was just sitting on the ground, eyes closed, and a huge grin on its face. Gage shrugged and turned toward Jonny. The sky was growing increasingly darker, and night was practically upon them. “Finding shelter for the night would seem to be a wise course of action, however, I don’t really know this place very as well as you might think, I have only been searching this forest for about half a day...”
The Veemon hopped up and walked over to the Tamer in red, “Hey there pal! You must be friends with the Doc! I’m Veemon! Nice ta Meet’cha!”
Gage turned toward Nagato once he returned, and was giving an egg, it was covered in red, orange and yellow flame like designs, attacked to the shell where four small red wing like decorations. Gage could not help but feel a familiar presence within the egg, he had experienced the same sensation when ever he held the Egg of Azulongmon, but it was the only digi-egg he had ever seen before so he wasn’t sure if this was significant or not. Gage looked into Nagato's eyes was a great deal of Confusion, “Wh-what is this about?”
Saint Angemon stood behind his Partner with a look of horror on its face, knowing full well that Nagato had just done the unthinkable yet again.

Jonny had a sinking feeling in the pit of his stomach the moment his eyes happened upon the object in Nagato's hand. He had seen enough of them, even made enough of them, to know what it was instantly.
Cyberdramon also noticed, and the stoic clam, almost scholarly attitude that he had developed dropped away like a shroud. "How could you...? WHAT HAVE YOU DONE!?" The Virus Buster's lips curled and he released a guttural snarl that would have made most people cringe. His rage drove the fact that the one he was snarling at had six megas under his command out of his mind.
"Cyberdramon, this isn't the time!" Jonny snapped at his partner, and then looked back at Gage. "I think we should take it. If you don't want to handle it, I will. Either way, we need to get out of here."
Despite the calm coldness that had fallen over Jonny, he couldn't help but shoot a disgusted expression in Nagato's direction.

Gage looked from the egg to Nagato and back again. After hearing the anger in Cyberdramon’s voice Gage finally realized what he was trying not to allow himself to figure out. “Y-you are a Monster!” he screamed at Nagato, “I thought you wanted to switch sides, I tho...” he was so angry he could barely speak, “You are no different from that Lucemon you serve!!”
Gage started to back away from Nagato, he needed to think... Nagato might be different now, but it was possible this made him more dangerous. He was Insane, killing the very digimon that would have stood by his side against Lucemon? They had to protect the egg, but he knew Nagato would never let them just have it. They had to escape, but Alexander wasn’t known for his speed, at least not over long distances. “Stryker!” Gage yelled as he tossed the egg carefully in Jonny’s direction. Cyberdramon appeared to be built more for speed and power then Saint Angemon. Gage would have to hope that the egg would be safe with him as they attended to make an escape.
Gage ran and picked up his bag, “Alexander!” The Angel scooped up its Tamer and the still weak Veemon in each of its arms and leap into the air, turning toward the east he started flying as quickly as he possibly could skimming the canopy of the dense jungle. The Veemon was dizzy with confusion, “Did I miss something?”

Jonny knew the gravity of the situation, and took great pains to catch the digi-egg in both hands. He didn't know what the importance this was to Gage and his mission, but he did know that he would protect the sovereign's digi-egg with his life. Sliding the object into his brown messenger bag, Jonny jumped onto Cyberdramon's back.
The digimon gave one more angry snarl to Nagato, and then bolted into the forest. He ran down a large trail that ran between some massive trees. Deciding that some cover was necessary, Cyberdramon began to lash out with his claws on either side. Each swing tore huge gauges of bark and wood from the trees, which actually remained standing for a few moments. Gravity eventually took charge of the situation, and pulled the trees down, collapsing them under their own weight.
After taking down quite a number of trees, Cyberdramon was satisified with the barrier he had made. He should have gotten out of eye sight of the man with the many digimon, and so flapped his large wings mightly. Becoming air-borne, Cyberdramon was counting on the fact that Nagato would be more interested in getting a hold of the digitama than of chasing down Gage.
The digimon had just cleared the forest canopy, and looked in all directions for SaintAngemon. Spotting the angelic Digimon, the Virus Buster made his way over to them.
Jonny, clinging to Cyberdramon's back, shouted over to Gage: "Cyberdramon ran through the trails, and made a barrier. They will be chasing his ground trail back and forth long enough to get a good head-start on him. ...So where are we going?"
