Faye felt a blush creep up on his cheeks, memories of last night flooded his mind. By the time they reached the kitchen, the small baker concluded that he made too much food:
"Umm...eat as much as you want! But I'm not rolling you anywhere." he half-heartily threatened with his spatula: "Besides I have something to tell ya."

Ducan heartily dug in to his grand breakfast extravaganza. Having a chef for a boyfriend certainly had its perks. As he scarfed down mouthfuls of food, his ears perked up.
"Hm? What is it, love?"

Popping a grape in his mouth, Faye nervously wiped down the counters:
"My parents want to meet you. They feel I'm getting too serious." he confessed: "So they're flying up tonight."

Ducan's fork with a piece of waffle stuck to it froze midway to his mouth. He gaped at Faye.
"Your parents?" he repeated, "Coming here? But... But..."
First the shooting, then the whole drama with Cress and Damien, and after one night of happiness, now this?
"Well... Where are they gonna stay? Are they angry or happy? Are they suspicious of me? Will they interrogate me?" Ducan gabbled out his nerves.

Hands gently held both sides of Ducan's head and lips touch lips. Faye kissed his boyfriend slowly, massaging his tongue with the other's. The kiss was warm, soft and romantic even. He gazed at down at him through half lidded loving eyes:
"Ducan..." Faye cooed, stroking the other's hair: "I love you. If I can sincerely say that without any doubt connected to it, then my parents aren't going to hate you. They won't interrogate you or be angry nor suspicious."

Ducan was stopped mid-rant by a nice pair of lips pressed against his. His eyes widened, but then glazed over as he fell into a nice trance induced by Faye's kiss.
Hmmm, maybe he should rant more often, if this was how he would be rewarded.
After the kiss ended, he smiled at his boyfriend. "OK... OK, then," he said in a small voice, which was surprising, coming from the ever confident Ducan, "It's just that... I've never been in a relationship serious enough to meet the other guy's parents, and I love you so much and I don't want to mess this up."

"Aww~! My Ducan is worried!!"cooed Faye, kissing the other's nose:"They're not animals, love. Just be yourself...and don't make direct eye contact."
He giggled at this before pouring himself a glass of o.j and eating some pancake.
"Anything you want to know?"

"Hmmm..." Ducan put his fork down, contemplating. "Well, what are your parents like? What are their names?"
Ducan thought of his own parents. Utterly normal parents, they were, nothing at all interesting to say about them. Well, maybe just his dad. His mom was normal.

"I have two moms. Kikyo Leonard, I call her Mother and Rachel Cohn-Leonard is Mom. Mother has a very dominant personality; blunt, sarcastic, forceful...she has this death glare that will make you turn cold. But she is very enlighten, just protective. Mom, as you probably figured, is serene one. She'll soothe any worries you will encounter and taught me everything I know. Let's just say the Faye you saw at the hospital was Mother and me now is Mom."
He dished more food on Ducan's plate, sliding into his lap halfway:
"Tell me about your folks."

"Oh, there's not much to tell, really." Ducan popped another forkful in his mouth. "My mother is an ordinary mother. She calls occasionally to see if I'm doing alright, she has her little ladies' club she goes to every Saturday evening. My dad is... wacky. He wears pink shirts when he's gardening to scare the neighbors away by pretending to shoot his plastic flamingoes down with the water hose, he's got three pet dogs he treats like humans, he sings loud-pitched karaoke at his gentleman's club... Yep..."

Faye giggled cutely at the imagery of Ducan's dad in his head. He sounded like a good man regardless of his mental state. Feeding himself some more omelet, the baker asked in a soft voice:
"You know...if you aren't ready for all of this...we could wait. I mean I understand if you want me all to yourself."

"Well, I do, but I think meeting your parents is a good thing to do," he grinned, "Let's see if I can pass the parental approval test. My own parents are out of the country right now."

"Ooh, poo!" pouted Faye, shifting in Ducan's lap: "It would be awfully humorous to just throw them all in a room together." Thinking about those old cartoons when the characters would fight in a big dust ball or maybe an awkward silence was the predicament Faye came up with: "Parental approval test? There's no need for that my parents will love you!"
Getting up, Faye went to refill Ducan's coffee. But a catchy, high pitched ringer sang on the breakfast table:
"Ducan, love, would you get that please? Its probably Mother."

((Not sure how to portray Faye's mothers ^^; ))
