Amanda saw Eretria coming for her in the corner of her eye. When the sixth year outstretched her arm to snatch the quaffle, the captain swerved and glided forward a bit, sending her broom lower quickly. Although she was at the goalposts, she passed the ball to Edajin for him to score. She wasn't the one who needed testing, and Virgil was the only one trying for keeper, so he didn't exactly need testing either.

She let out a curse as she missed her grab. Her eyes almost lost the snitch as it zoomed away from the other girl but Penny kept up and followed it. This was going to be hers. Giving it another go, she threw her arm out at the snitch once more.

Speeding her broom up, Jaslyn let go of all her thoughts. The roaring wind in her ears, the feel of the cold moist air on her face, and the whipping white hair around her put her at ease. She had dropped all her baggage the moment she took flight and she wasn't about to let it take hold again. Instead, she focused on the snitch.

As Amanda passed the ball to Edajin, Eretria tried to interfere, but she missed. Daniel, on the other hand, managed to swipe the ball from the second year chaser's hands. Immediately, Edajin went in for a steal; however, he missed. The captain decided she would try to get it.

Edajin frowned when he attempt missed the mark, and watched as Amanda made a failed attempt as well. He'd have to get in as much practice as possible with his own teammates before the first game, so, tightening his grip on his broom handle, he zoomed forward to try and snatch the ball again.
