As a result of the early wake-up, Utsuki was having trouble completely regaining his consciousness. He couldn't really understand what Ms. Corriander was saying, as it only registered in his mind as inaudible noises.

"Utsuki," Ms. Corriander repeated sharply, clapping her hands a couple of times. "Up. And get a portfolio together."

Utsuki slowly got up and out of the bed, searching for his camera case even when he didn't open his eyes yet. It was a little while after he got up that he opened his eyes a little, and it took little while longer for him to find the case.

Janet gave him an extra twenty minutes because it was earlier. She made sure she had breakfast on the table before she called up, "Utsuki, are you up and ready? Breakfast is on the table."

By then, Utsuki was fully awake and quite ready to leave. "I'll be right down," he said as he grabbed his newly-assembled portfolio of scenery photos.

Janet smiled as Utsuki came down the stairs. "Good morning. I'm sorry to wake you so early, but we have several places to go, and some of them are only available in the morning."

"Well, that explains everything," Utsuki said as he reached the bottom of the stairs. "So, when can we leave?"

"Whenever you've finished breakfast and taken care of your dishes."

"Oh, that's right." It always seemed to be the redundant questions that Utsuki would ask, and he kept wondering when he would ever stop asking such questions.

Janet waited until Utsuki was done and stood. "All right. Let's go." She grabbed her keys and headed out the door.

((Oh, my Merlin! I'm so sorry. I completely forgot about gaia for three weeks. I'm so sorry.))

(It's no problem. I was bored, though.)

Utsuki followed his tutor outside once he finished washing the dishes. Somehow, he felt today was going to be a long day.

Janet drove to a rather well known professional business near the mall. "This only one stop. We have two others after this. Don't forget your portfolio." She smiled at him and led the way inside.

Utsuki followed his tutor into the building, after grabbing his portfolio, of course. The sign over the doorway of the building looked very familiar. Had he seen it before somewhere?

"Hello, Janet. It's been too long," the manager greeted. "Welcome to my humble shop."

Janet laughed. "It has been too long, Jim. This is one of my students, Utsuki. He's interested in photography. Utsuki, this is Jim Zuckerman. He dabbles in all forms of photography."

"It's nice to meet you," Utsuki said, extending a hand out to Jim in greeting.
