Kazu took a little offence to the "Ignorant Human" comment but he hid it before the boy turned around. The boy's stare was sharp. Like he could see straight through Kazu. He cleared his throat. do or die.
"Yes. I've got information regarding both the location of, and the means to get to, Yggdrasil."
He paused to let the Boy think about the words.
"However I'd like to ask of information in exchange. I've some questions about an individual and about... Well the Darkness, that I'd like answered."
Kazu sighed as he finished. He looked back at the Lucemon, right into his eyes. They looked so young, but at the same time there was something that physically disturbed Kazu.
"If you are willing to listen and answer my questions then I'll be glad to share."

An eyebrow raised at the mention of the great creator himself, whose powers not even he could reach. "Ha!! Yggdrasil you say? I doubt someone as yourself has anything on the," He made sarcastic air quotes as he spoke about the deity of the digital world," 'divine' creator. The only way to meet him is for you to die and you look pretty living to me." His mouth curved into a wicked smile. "But... this other news you have intrigues me to a point, soooo I won't waste you for wasting my time just yet. Tea?" At the snap of his fingers a Myotismon appeared in a shroud of bats with a silver plate with two glasses of tea and a sugar-cube container.

((A spot ah tea with the devil himself, how lovely. xD))

Kazu looked himself over, it was true. While he looked like he had been through alot, what with the blood soaked rags and all, but he was most definitly alive. Luckily for him. At the mention of Tea his heart jumped, he hadn't had a nice cup of tea since Toy and Tama town.
"Umm, thank you."
He took one of the cups and dropped two sugars into the hot liquid, he gave the cup a quick swirl and took a sip. After the crushing cold of the castle the drink sent a warm sensation all through him.
"Ahh. You've got some good taste."
He nodded his head in apreciation and took another sip.
"Umm, just wondering. What other news has your interest piqued? All I have to offer is what I'v experienced about Yggdrasil..."
Kazu stopped, the Lucemon hadn't belived him before. Was there a way to convince him?
"Anyway. I'll be happy to tell you anything you want to know if you can answer the questions I have?"
Piedmon had taken a safe distance between Kazu and Lucemon. The baby Digimon had dropped to the floor and were hiding behind the Jester's feet.
"I'm aware I look pretty alive. But I have been dead, that's how I met the big guy..."
Kazu pointed to the chandelier as though Yggdrasil would stroll out of it.
"You can ask Marcus, he killed me."
PostPosted: Mon May 30, 2011 10:18 pm

Lucemon took his cup without sugar, enjoying the untainted taste of digital herbs. He took in a whiff of the hot drink and sipped at it lightly. He waved away his servant and returned to looking at Kazu. "Well I didn't need you to tell me that, but I'll accept the compliment." He sighed and took a seat on air again. He would have offered Kazu a seat, but figured that either common sense would see to that quite well or he would get a nice little kick out of seeing the boy fidget and continue to grow in discomfort. He looked up at Kazu with an emotionless gaze as he prepared to respond. "Well aside from your delusional belief in meeting Yggdrasil, you mentioned having some questions about darkness or something along those lines. Ask your questions and I'll see to it that you get your answers." He placed his cup on what would have appeared to be and invisible table and crossed his legs to get comfortable. His interest was piqued once more at the mention of a name he had not heard in some time. "I beg your pardon, but could you describe this fellow named Marcus? He sounds rather familiar, possibly someone that I granted refuge to in the years past?" His last question was completely rhetorical, a voiced mental question that would not have an answer until he knew more on the matter.

Kazu nodded to the Lucemon, he gave a quick glance around for a chair, there was none he could see. Oh well.
"Of course sir. Well my questions..."
Kazu took the breifest of pauses, his partners gave him a worried look, bu he powered on.
"I would like to know. What is it that drives good people onto such dark paths. Over the past few weeks I have seen comrades who fought with me turn their backs on thier beliefis. They have abandoned their morals so quickly. I want to know what is changing them, what is making them do these bad things and ,if possible, you could show me what it is first-hand. There is one individual I want to understand most of all, Marcus..."
He took a breath when he finished, as if just remembering that man was enough to ind him.
"My second question would be of you Demon Lords yourselves. Not to cause offence but if we are honest, The Underworld is home to the deepest depths of evil. I would like to know what your role is down here. what is your purpose. Do you just seek to rule this place or are your ambitions much greater?"
Piedmon was listening intently, Zerimon and Chicchimon were both on the verge of tears.
"My third, and final question."
Kazu looked directly into the eyes of the Lucemon.
"I would like to know this: Is there a way to leave the Digital World?"
His questions finished Kazu took some sips of his his tea, he hummed a pleased note and looked back at the angelic boy.
"In regards to you question on Marcus. Description? He has mid-length dark hair. Brown skin, fairly tall. His main Digimon partner is a Gaomon that I have seen change between Burst and Ruin modes. I've seen him working for good, in the Fight against NEO he changed sides at the very end to save us, but at th Vaccine Sentinal Tower he reverted back and, in the resulting battle he killed me..."
Kazu remembered the Lucemon's disbelief.
"Anyway. He seems to have a dark aura of Digi-Soul, many times stronger than mine."
As if to demonstrate, Kazu held up his fist and squeezed. A small flame encircled his hand.
"But his Digi-Soul changes colour, so do his eyes. He has quite a few Chaos Digimon, the two of which I have fought were some of the toughest foes I have ever faced. And his motives are totally unknown. To some degree I came here to see if you knew about him. If you could explain what happened to someone who was clearly a good person. I wanted to know if you could expose me to the same darkness he felt in order to become like that. I need to know I'm not like him."
He finished. He had asked his questions. He had described Marcus. Kazu felt like he had the world lifted off his shoulders as he asked his questions. It felt good to talk to someone about it. Even if it was a Demon Lord. He smiled.
"I hope that descrition was adequet sir. And I also hope that you can answer my questions."
He began to sip at his tea again, allowing the liquid to heat his body thoroughly.

((Backstory in two places at the same time... GREAT!))

Lucemon's face shifted completely. No longer did he have the same innocent look of a child, but of a well experienced force that had acquired great depths of knowledge due to his time on the face of the digital world. He waved a hand and a chair and its companion swerved around the round room to meet both Kazu and Piedmon's backsides. "My, my, my... you are full of questions, aren't you? Very well... I shall humor you with the tale of the foolish one, but I guess it would be best to answer your questions in the order that you have presented them, no?" He smiled and took in the last of his tea before rising from his invisible chair. "Starting with the first one, you asked about hypocrites. That may not be your exact words, but that is what they are... foolish ones that will change their ways at the drop of a hat. I dare say that they may not be hypocrites at all, but simply casting aside their true beliefs to settle a common goal and then, just a simply, pick them back up once the conflict is resolved." Lucemon would turn from Kazu and start to walk towards a certain stack of books and rummage through them as if he were looking for something and then stop. "I, despite my wishes, am only made of data and therefore can only go by what I have seen in my time. Some are hypocrites, others are confused, and most simply see it as a way of... 'killing two birds with one stone,' if you will. Your friend Marcus is a completely different case that I'll get on to later." The boy with more knowledge than his body would actually portray would take a moment to catch his breath and then move on to the next, hoping that his answer would satisfy, but didn't really care too much if it did.

"Next you ask about the Demon Lords. Well simply put, they are here for the same reason as the Great Angels, the Royal Knights, the Sovereign, the Ancient Spirits, the Four Great Dragons, and even those pompous, high-minded Olympus Twelve... to provide order and representation of the manner realms of the real world, nothing more than that. These groups are each but a single thread in this unstable web of balance." A chuckle unconsciously escaped his lips. "While my brother, surely you've met the MusicMan, would completely disagree... this world is completely black and white with a few ignorant twits that try to blend the colors and make gray. But hear this, they will always fail. The Great Angels will always fight the Demon Lords for supremacy as the Royal Knights will always make conflict with the Ancient Spirits for whatever stupid reason they can find to argue about. Why, you may ask? It is because that is what we are made to do. Without cause there is no effect and without both there is not meaning to life itself. There cannot be good without evil, life without death, or peace without war."

Lucemon would move back to his drink, satisfied by his answer, but would sulk once realizing that it was empty. "Would you like more?" At the snap of his fingers, the apron-wearing Myotismon would reappear and refill their cups before leaving again. "Ah, much better... now to the third. Is there a way to the Real World, but of course there is! In all the main cities there are gateways that can take you back to where you belong. Do you take them? No you don't." His tone was harsh as if that very statement would summerize all his grief towards humans, both Dark Tamers and the silly Tamers of Life. "Network City has one, Vaccine Sentinel Tower has one... somewhere, and even we have one here in Spiral Castle. Simple enough, right?"

"And now for my favorite part... the Tale of the Fool. First I must ask, do you believe that there should be an equal punishment for reckless behavior? I think there should be." Lucemon returned to his seat and took a sip. His eyes would close as he went into flashback mode. "There once was a boy and his dog like companion that entered the digital wolrd. He was quite the naive little fellow and allowed a certain tyrannous beast king talk him into believing that he could do great things. The boy reluctantly believed him and adhered to every word that came form the cat's deceptive mouth. One day, the lion decided that the boy and his other human companion were ready to take on a big test. What was that test? Well of course it was to eliminate all of the Beast King's rivals in beliefs that they would gain power with each victory. Naturally the two boys and their digimon had some talent that allowed them to blaze through the more weaker families and eventually make through the few tough one. Soon it was time to take on the King of the Nightmare Soldiers, a handsome young devil known as Lucemon! One of the boys said that they were not ready, but the naive one said that they were and once more put his trust in the lion's false words. When it came time to face the king of devils, they put up a somewhat decent fight with their digimon and their cards, but the demon lord was far superior for them, demolished them, and turned their digimon back to digitama. When they turned for help from the lion, he was nowhere to be found. Of course, the demon lord was rather upset from his perfect afternoon being ruined and decided that it was in his rights to inflict an extra dose of punishment. So he turned to the naive one, feeling a certain sense of corruption sleeping on the inside of him and cast his friend into the shadows for all eternity." Lucemon's voice would have an eerie sing-song tone to it as he spoke ill of the protagonist of the story. "Of course after a year or so of searching for his comrade and brooding in utter despair and turmoil, he realized the error of his ways and what he would have to do to atone for his crimes. So on a rainy night, much like this one, the boy came back to this very castle and requested an audience with the very demon lord that had sent him through hell. Ah, I remember it like it was only yesterday... he begged and pleaded for his friend to be returned to him so they could return home together and be rid of this nightmare, but to no avail did the remaining king give in. It was, however, at the words 'I will do anything' that the demon lord moved. The darkness that had been broiling within the young tamer seemed to make him the perfect host for a new method of bringing darkness into the world. It was called digiEmbrolosis where the digitama of a digimon was placed on the inside of a tamer for a period of time, feeding on the nature of its host like a mutual parasite. Naturally, the boy agreed and signed the contract. What the boy didn't realize was was that having a digimon on the inside of him would make him very much similar to a digimon and would prevent him from ever going back to the real world as... a human. If he were to go back, he would take the form of a digimon and what was this digimon, you ask? Well of course... digitamamon who leads into a far more destructive force, the equivalent of Pandora's Box Devitamamon. You could say that for the sake of his friend... and his foolishness, he sold away his soul, his human identity, and his pure digisoul all in one swoop."

Lucemon would sip again and breath in the aroma. "So in conclusion to your mysterious tamer, he has two digisoul auras because he has two different producers in his body, one that is human and the other that is digimon. He changes moods at the drop of a hat, because the digitama inside of him only feeds on negative vibes and as it grows stronger, it develops an personality on it's own that will, because it is a digimon with powers that a human lacks, eventually consume his humanoid soul, leaving only the digimon to use his body like a puppet." He would drink the last bit of his tea and have a child-like smile spread across his face once more. "Come to think of it, I think he's supposed to give me a visit soon. We've met at least once a year since for about... two years now. No telling how big the digital persona may have gotten since then."

Kazu and Piemon let out a grunt as chairs hit them into sitting position. Zerimon and Chicchimon leaped onto Piedmon's lap. Kazu mulled over Lucemon's first answer. Hipocrites would be the perfect word to describe what he'd seen. A total personality 180 with no possible reason to do good. However the "Kill two birds with one Stone" comment rang in his ears. It was true that some turned to opposing views to acomplish a common goal. The Royal Knights and Spirits had teamed up in the end then parted again.

Lucemon's second answer greatly pleased Kazu. It was a relief to hear that the merger of two sides could never succeed. Balance had to be maintained, not the combination of two opposing forces. A few ideas floated round his head but he dismissed them for the time being. The Demon Lords existed for balance. If they dissapeared then balance would be overthrown. Though with the Darkness growing ever stronger, and bad people cropping up in more and more places Kazu was glad that he could still fight for his own Justice.

So there were portals to the Real World were scattered around the Digital World. That caused a tug within Kazu. What would happen if he took one? Would he wake up alive? Would he wake up at all? The last thing he remembered of the Real World was the screeching of a lorry and the bright flash of lightning at the street-lights had zapped him to this place. Besides he could hardly leave all his new friends with the world in such a state.

Kazu sat quietly through Lucemon's story. Of Marcus and his trials and trubulations. Kazu felt a pang of guilt towards his initial hatred towards the Tamer. He had clearly suffered much.
"digiEmbrolosis..."
The first words Kazu had spoken in a while. So there was a parasite living within Marcus that was causing him to act the way he was. Kazu scratched his chin.
Suddenly The last thing Lucemon had said sank in.
"Sh*t! He's coming here!?"
Kazu jumped out of the chair in a panic, he couldn't face him just yet. He wasn't strong enough. Piedmon got to his feet, the baby Digimon on his shoulders now.
"Kazu relax. He said he was expecting a visit. That's not to say Marcus will appear right now."
Kazu took a deep sigh and nodded.
"Sorry about that. Just a little on edge."
Kazu took his seat again and downed the last of his tea. After a deep breath he continued
"So this Devitamamon is causing him to experience all the..."
Kazu lifted his arms and wriggled his fingers as a visual aid while he thought of a word.
"...Evil-y-ness?"
He droped his arms, dissapointed that he couldn't think of a better word.
"What do you intend to do with it once it matures? And what will happen to Marcus? Finally... Could you let me experience the same depths of Darkness he has felt. If only for a moment, I'm sure you would be able to fill me with Darkness for a short while. I'm not afraid of the consequences. After that I am willing to offer whatever I can in exchange for everything you've done for me."
PostPosted: Wed Jun 01, 2011 11:35 pm

Lucemon hands came together as the smile upon his remained dark. "When it matures? Nothing... If Marcus wishes to have it removed then he will ask for it to be removed. Otherwise, he will either tame it or be overwhelmed by the darkness that he has fed it and before forever lost in the very power that he clings to." the angelic boy would impulsively burst into temporary laughter. "Surely you've noticed it?! That boy is nothing without his dark soul. Even before, the embryo was placed, he had the makings for a wonderful dark tamer!" He would stop laughing a sigh. "You could say that it's not the digimon, but actually the person that is causing his... evilyness. Marcus... was destined to be my puppet..." His voice would have a certain sound of relief as he threw himself back into his air-made chair.

Lucemon would lean back in his chair in reminiscence of the monster he helped to create. He then looked up with surprise at the boy's next request. "Kazu... what do you intend to get out of this. I mean... I can be very persuasive when it comes to potential dark tamers." He would lean forward towards Kazu giving a rather seductive look.

((Music Please))

Kazu gave a slight grin. He looked dead into Lucemon's eyes.
"I want... No. I need to know that I'm not like him. I need to prove that no matter what happens, I won't become one of the hipocrites, that I won't drop my beliefs and pick up new ones. That's pretty much the reason I came here. The other questions I genuinly wanted to know about. But to be truthful, I need to prove that I won't become another Marcus. After hearing your story about him, I've noticed so many similarities. I've been manipilated, lost close friends, fought tooth and nail to protect this world. I need to know that my goals, my pride, my ambitions are strong enough to carry me forwards! I wouldn't be able to live with myself if I just abandoned my personal Justice! So that's why I'm here. I've come to the darkest depths of the Digital World to test myself. It's been such a long journey, I've seen suffering, happiness, the deepest despair and death itself. The fact I'm even standing before you is a miricle in the eyes of many! So please, grant me that request. Let me experience the deepest and most complete darkness. Allow me to resist it. Please. I need this to give myself a purpose in this world. You have yours the Great Angels have theirs, the Royal Knights, Ancient Spirits. Even the tamers we have met have purpose. If I can prove this to myself. Then finally I can have purpose in this world!"
By this point Kazu was on his feet, almost shouting at Lucemon, his right hand touching his bare chest through the hole in his bloody shirt, his left hand flung out to the side. He looked deep into Lucemon's eyes. Almost pleading with the Demon Lord.
"Please..."

((Love it xD))

Lucemon's smile had vanished as Kazu went into his speech of needing to have a purpose and know that he wasn't like someone else. He thought it quite sad that one would go to such lengths to try and set himself apart. In fact, he felt that in a way, this boy was the exact same as Marcus, just lacking a few qualities: a blind sense of justice, a desire to be set apart, a desire to be... different. Lucemon sighed and looked up, returning a glare just as powerful as Kazu's. "Very well then... I shall have the maids prepare you a room."

As Lucemon spoke those last words the room would go completely black. As cold breeze would blow through the room that was completely void of light, signifying that Kazu was both all alone as well as not in the Castle's Library any longer. In the distance Kazu would hear the flapping of wings coming closer and growing louder and louder as it approached. The noise would then stop and be followed by a loud thud that would shake the grounds and send a heavy gust towards Kazu. Nothing would be visible of the boy's guest except for two large spheres shining down from about him.

Kazu smiled at Lucemon's words.
"Thank y--"
He was cut off. All light had vanished, darkness as deep as death's. The cold breeze chilled Kazu to the core. He clenched his fists, he could still feel. He took a deep breath, the smell of the wind was present. He could hear the flapping of wings. The thud as whatever approached landed sent Kazu's heart pounding. A second gust of wind blew over Kazu causing him to adjust his footing and brace against the wind. Kazu opened his eyes, still nothing to see. Although that was not quite true. He looked above to see two floating spheres. Kazu looked into the orbs and clenched his teeth.
"I'm ready. Who are you?"
His question was issued, but he had no idea who he was talking to, whether they were on his level, higher, lower, if they were even there at all. He was ready. The time to prove himself was nigh...
PostPosted: Fri Jun 03, 2011 2:42 am

The two spheres would blink like a pair of eyes and then a swirling, swooshing sound. Soon a bright burst of light would be released from a golden orb that would shed light over the entire room that was much like a coliseum in need of an audience. In the center of the hall would be a massive black dragon that easily towered over the highest buildings. Its massive body would reach a near empty sky with twinkling stars that shone down on the two entities. A large black tail swung from side to side, kicking up dust and dirt with each swing.

The black beast would beast would look down at Kazu while holding the sphere, but what would be really important were the three smaller spheres that were floating above it, each carrying a knocked out digimon... Kazu's digimon.

Kazu gasped in awe of the empty coliseum, blinded by the bright light. The dragon facing Kazu was enormous, it's tail causing Kazu to cough and splutter on the dust. Kazu eyed the beast, holding his ground. It was holding an orb, that much was obvious, it too was huge. Suddenly a glimmer caught his eye.
"Oh God... No..."
Three smaller orbs floaed above the Dragon. But it was what was within the orbs that made Kazu's heart sink. Piedmon, Chicchimon and Zerimon.
"Put them down! They have nothing to do with this!"
Kazu clenched his fists, what was he saying? Of course they had somehting to do with this, all of his Partners had a part to play in this test. If he was to experience true darkness...
"No...No!"
Kazu looked back at the floating orbs.
"C'mon guys! Wake up!"
Kazu was half-way glad that only his active three Digimon had been taken, that meant less eople to save which meant his task was easier.
PostPosted: Fri Jun 03, 2011 3:46 am

"So you wish to face the darkness that others before you have faced?" Lucemon's child-like voice would resound through the atmosphere with its location near untraceable. "Very well then... I shall show you that darkness... Solitude and Destruction."

Something within the orb would shift and a oozing dripping would start to seep from the bottom of the sphere. A person or something of similar origin would seep out and wall to the ground, landing with a loud thud. The three orbs above The dragon would vanish from sight, almost as if they had been instantly removed from existence.

Kazu's pupils shrank as the three orbs vanished.
"Guys..."
Kazu etered a brief state of panic. What had happened, where were they? Had he caused them to vanish?
Or was it all part of the test?
His head snapped to the sound of the humanoid figure hitting the ground.
"I'm ready for whatever you'll throw at me!"
Kazu eyed the thing on the ground before giving a weary smirk.
"So the Darkness of Solitude and Destruction eh? Bring it on..."
