Xavier's ocean blue eyes continued to lock on the golden ball. Still following the snitch, he looked around to see Romulus, another seeker, noticing the snitch. He grinned as he looked back at the tiny ball. More competition means more fun. Most of the ones trying out for seeker already spotted the blasted snitch! ' This isn't gonna be easy, ' he thought, a grin still on his lips. Just a little bit more, and the snitch is just in his grasps. Romy's eyes widened as he saw the Snitch. It was quite a ways away, but it was there. He arched his back and sped after it, hoping it wouldn't take too terribly long to catch. The brunette didn't notice Xavier chasing as well, all his focus on the small gold ball. "Come here, little Snitch," he thought, watching the ball's skittish movements. He would have to fly with precision here, if he stood any chance of catching the Snitch before the others.

Romy flew faster, right arm outstretched. He had to catch this, he knew, if he wanted to make the team. His sister was too dependent on results for that not to be the final test. He sped up, trying to remember all the rules of aerodynamics he had read about over the summer.

She summoned both Quaffles and the Snitch to her. "EVERYONE LISTEN UP," she called, looking around. When she was sure she had captured everyone's attention, she continued, "We're going to switch it up now. We're going to play a game of Quidditch. Shouldn't be too hard, right? Teams are:
TEAM ONE: Elli and Cait, Cameron and Iris, and Jacob. TEAM TWO: Xavier and myself, Tevye and Keith, and Minerva. As for the Seekers. There are three of you. Hmm... Seekers will free-for-all. Continue as you are. Are we ready? Good. GO!" She flew to half court, fully prepared to simply assist. She wanted to test Xavier's skills. Not her own. She knew she was on the team, after all! Again, she released the Snitch, letting the boys duke it out overhead. She also threw the Quaffle straight up, then subtly flew backwards away from it. Only a perceptive person would be able to pick up on her movement. This was about Cait and Xavier battling it out, since Elli's spot was saved as well. Of course, the gold eyed girl still expected her Vice-Captain to do her very best. {Out of Chasing: BEATERS: you are now allowed to aim at people. EVERYONE! Put your team number in your posts! A small smile lit on Xavier's face when the Captain nodded. He felt a feeling of relief. Maybe he liked being a chaser more than being a seeker. When Remy called everyone up, he looked at her. ' Don't tell me,' he thought, his eyes starting to widen. When she explained that they were gonna play, he smiled brightly. Team two, okay. The brunette took a deep breath, feeling his adrenaline rush. When the quaffle was thrown, Xavier's Firebolt 2 rose up, his arm stretching out to catch the falling red ball. " C'mere quaffle! " he growled to himself, he has to get it. He has to. He and Caitlin are battling for the last position for Chaser. Romy was edging on the Snitch when Remy called. He looked at her, then back toward the Snitch. It was gone! The boy frowned, but looked at his sister. So they would be playing, eh? The smile returned to Romulus' face as he looked at both David and Eun. It would be a free-for-all, meaning that the first one that captured the Snitch would end the try-outs, and hopefully be made Seeker. He pushed the pale brown hair away from his eyes, then blinked. This would be tremendous fun! When Remy shouted "GO!" and released the Snitch, Romy darted after, trying to figure out where the heck it had gone.
