"Oh! Kei-san, how nice it is to see you once again."

"Huh?" Skylar uttered as he watched the two interact. It was uncomfortable...as if the room had suddenly became cold.

"Always one for formalites, I see." The man smirked as he picked up his glass. Skylar got the impression that...these two didn't like each other...or at least, Himeji didn't like Kei...

Skylar watched helplessly as Himeji took a sip of wine and help the glass to his lips, saying, "I couldn't help but overhear the conversation you were holding with Haruki here, and, well, do you think you would be a better man?"

"Eek!" Skylar moaned lowly as he facepalmed himself. Really, what was wrong with these two?

"Ho ho, very direct. Hm, well I don't know how you treat her, but if it's anything like how you are at work then I'm sure I can." The man smiled pleasantly and answered politely...although It was probably apparent to everyone that these two really didn't not like each other.

Oh god...Okay Skylar! Damage control time! You must not allow these two to argue, especially Himeji!

"By the way, Haruki-chan, surely someone as cute and polite as yourself must be employed somewhere..." The man slowly leaned down, taking his gloved hand in his arms as his lips slowly touched them. A light blush cropped onto Skylar's cheeks as he stared at the man incredulously. He could clearly see Kei stareing at Himeji, a devilish smirk hidden in his eyes.

"W-Well.." Skylar mumbled, "I'm er...in school right now...so I'm not really thinking too much about my future right now..."

"Ho? I see..." The man said silkily, sitting upright once again. "Such a shame. I've been looking for a secretary for months but...I just can't seem to find the right person with the right attitude..." He smiled, his eyes narrowed.

"Er..U-Uh...Oh! What is that you do, Kei-San?" Skylar smiled widely, trying to ease the tension at the table.

"An interest in my job? Or maybe me perhaps?" The man smirked as Skylar began to freak out, waving his hands in front of him in a 'no' fashion. "Ahaha..I'm just kidding. Anyway, I'm the president of S&G Incorporated..." Skylar took the buisness card that Kei had offered him as he said, "Ah! You make all the cool gadgets that are really popular right now! I have a friend who owns one of your Cell Phones! They're really nice!"

"Hahaa, Thank you for the compliment. I can assure you that my job is is much more exciting than that of HImeji-kun's. Isn't that right?" The man laughed lighty...though Skylar could tell that it wasn't meant to be polite.

Oh hell...What do I do now?! Skylar mentally thought.

Luckily the head of the table spoke, leaving the situation to (thankfully) hang in the air.

"I hope that everyone's dinner has gone well! I see that most of you are finished, so kindly make your way to the ballroom, if you please."

Skylar sighed a sigh of relief as the ballroom filled with sounds of chairs scraping back and footsteps as the guests began to make their way towards the ballroom.

"Well, I guess we should get going then Kei-San. I thouroghly enjoyed your company. And hope to see you later!" Skylar said quickly as the other man frowned. He was hoping that Himeji got the message to quickly walk away, that way they could avoid confrontation.

Surprisingly (and to his horrer), Himeji did just the opposite.

"Kei-san, if you wouldn't mind as to accompany me for a little, away from the ball, for an urgent matter had just popped into my head that needs private discussion with you."

Skylar watched as Kei's wolfish grin grew even wider, his eyes narrowed.

"But of course Himeji-kun."

Oh Hell.

Skylar sighed as he stood, and took hold of Himeji's already waiting arm.

"This ball seems as if it will seem fun!" Skylar said happily to Kei, trying to ease the tension once again.

"If anything it'll be quite enjoyable only because your here." Kei smiled as he walked next to him, smiling a dazzling smile. "He...hehe..." Skylar laughed nervously, at a loss for words.

"So, what would you like to discuss Himeji-kun? I'm sure anything said, could be spoken about in the presence of your date, correct?" The man moved a strand of hair out of his eyes and he smiled pleseantly...although it was apparent that the smile was fake.

((Perfect! twisted I already have an idea how this can play out! xD *cough* Involves Himeji telling Skylar to stay away from him and Skylar getting mad that Himeji doesn't trust him. Himeji then says something like Skylar is too blinded by all the compliments to see how much of a scumbag he is. This makes Skylar very angry and so he leaves Himeji..and runs into Kei! Kei then comforts him and takes him to a room with the intention to *do this and that to him*, and Skylar figures out that Himeji was right all along although it's too late, seeing as Kei won't let him leave. Skylar is about to be raped when who but Himeji finds them! He kicks Kei's butt and saves Skylar..then they leave the party and it's happily ever after (at least for now)! So what do you think? xD))

Skylar held his breath in anticipation as he was lead , along with Kei, to a private hallway, then to a balcony that overlooked the whole city. It was a pretty sight...thought (he was sure) none of the three seemed to enjoy it all that much. Himeji was too busy glaring coldly at Kei; Kei was looking around lazily; And Skylar? He...was stuck in the middle of it all.

He couldn't even remember what had happened to escalate the situation to this extent. Through the whole Dinner, yes, Kei had exchanged some unpleseant conversation between the two...but not enough to get HImeji this upset. Was it because Himeji was jealous? He shouldn't be...everything Kei had said, had been joking around. It wasn't as if Kei was dangerous or anything. Skylar didn't mind the other at all (though he could tone it down the compliments).

"So. Let's leave politics and business aside for a moment and speak man to man, shall we?" Himeji said, while moving in front of him. Why was Himeji being so protective?

Skylar stared at Kei who leaned lazily on the railing. "Yeah, Yeah Himeji-Kun." At this, Skylar could see Himeji's eyes grow even colder.

"You have no right stealing my woman."

"H-Huh?!" Skylar said incredulously from behind Himeji. This was a shocking statement for a few reasons. First, 'my woman?' The woman part irked him alittle, but that wasn't what really bugged him. He didn't like being called 'his woman' by Himeji. Yes they were together...but Skylar didn't like like to think that he was someone's property in the first place. Besides, Why was Himeji making such a big deal out of this anyway? Kei was just joking around...it wasn't as if he were serious, and if he was then Skylar could handle him his self. Why did Himeji always feel the need to protect him? It made him feel ...somewhat weak.

Skylar was surprised when Himeji turned towards him, his eyes actually...pleading."Haruki... please. Don't talk so much to Kei ever again. He's not someone to take lightly."

"W-What? Himeji, what's wrong with you? This really isn't anything to be upset about. Kei was just joking around...You were joking around right?" Skylar said politely towards Kei, who leaned off the rail and took a small bow.

"I did it all in jest. I didn't think Himeji-kun would take it so seriously. I'm sorry if I offended anyone." The man said...though when Skylar turned towards Himeji, a devilish smirk could be seen by Himeji, forming from the corners of his mouth.

"There, see? He said he was kidding. Just calm down okay?" Skylar said with a sigh.

Skylar almost flinched at the sight of Himeji's face once he turned back towards him. What was with that look? It was a look...that Skylar took as Himeji thinking of him an idiot. In normal circumstances, he would have never believed Himeji to do something like this...but in the current situation...he wasn't thinking clearly. He was too shocked to think...

"Haru..." Himeji uttered. Skylar could do nothing but stare into Himeji's eyes.

"You... You don't know Kei like I do. He is going to hurt you if you let your guard down, even as a friend," Himeji said, as if trying to plead with him. Skylar really couldn't see what the problem was. The situation was very awkward indeed....usually, he would listen to Himeji without a second thought...but there was something about this situation that was upsetting to him. Did he not believe that he could take care of himself? Skylar didn't think Kei was that bad, and besides...He didn't need to be protected. He was a guy too and he didn't need anyone else to save him! He had been fine before he had met Himeji and he would still be fine even now! He was angry that Himeji didn't understand this...

His anger rose as Himeji turned to address Kei. "You... disgust me, Kei. Are you so base that your hatred for me has to involve my girlfriend too?"


Kei laughed and crossed his arms, leaning once again on the balcony railing, smirking. "I am not pulling your girlfriend into this, Himeji-kun. I'm merely jesting. But now it seems as if your over-protectiveness and jealous obsession is making you think badly of me."

Himeji would probably be too intent on staring at Kei to notice, but these words made Skylar jump alittle...though the action did not go unoticed by the other. Maybe...Kei had a point. Himeji had been acting weird for no reason at all ever since the other had came. He loved Himeji...but he just couldn't deal with his jealousness right now..

Skylars face lowered to where the golden strands from his bangs covered his eyes from view.

"Himeji...." Skylar said low. His body was trembling from a mix of anger and hurt.

"Just stop. Kei's right..." He said, his eyes still covered. He couldn't think straight; His anger was continuing to escalate with every passing minute...what was wrong with him? He shouldn't be this upset...but it was as if he were too confused to calm himself...

He raised his head, flashing his eyes at Himeji and a blush formed on his cheeks as if he had just been scorned.

"I can handle myself. I was fine before you came and I'll be fine now. Stop trying to protect me and let me think for myself." Skylar's voice was low, but strong as he flashed Himeji a look of hurt, before turning away and walking back into the building.

Kei smirked once Skylar had left, finally showing his true colors.

"Tough luck kiddo. I was amazed that my plan actually worked. It seems you and Hikari-kun are having a lover's quarrel..."

He walked towards the exit which Skylar had just walked through only moment earlier.

"I think i'll steal him from you....it's so easy to manipulate others. Just one pull of the right 'thread' and I have them under my grasp. Like your 'Haruki' for instance...though there would have had to be some doubt in his mind before I played my mind games with him...trouble in paradise?" The man chuckled darkly as he stopped at the door inside.

"I wonder who'll win the game? Best of luck....Himeji-kun...." He gave one last cocky smirk, before exiting the balcony, leaving Himeji alone.

Skylar had gotten himself lost in the big house. It had been about 5 minutes of walking when he began to calm down, his body stick shaking just thinking about what he had done.

He hadn't meant to slip up and say that to Himeji...it was as if it were already coming out of his mouth before he could stop himself..like 'word vomit'. It was true..He really did have a problem with Himeji feeling the need to protect him all the time. But it wasn't because he was annoyed with it. It was just because it made him feel weak and childish...as if he had to be protected like a little kid. He didn't want Himeji to waste his time and good-health, having to worry about where he was and what he was doing. He didn't want...to be a burden to him

Tears threatened to fall from his eyes as he found a lonely chair in the hallway he was lost in, and sat down.

"Hahaha...I got alittle ahead of myself back there..I should go find Himeji...and....and..." He couldn't continue once the tears started to fall. Wiping his eyes, he said as his whole being trembled, "Ah man...What is this? Why am I crying? You stupid idiot. Get up...go find him...." He told himself..though his body wouldn't move. He was scared now....scared that he had just completly screwed up their relationship right they had finally gotten together.

"Who am I kidding....after an outburst like that...I wouldn't be surprised if HImeji never talked to me again. Why should I expect him to come find me? Your so cruel...first you yell at him...and now you want him to come find you? "

"Hey, you shouldn't be so hard on yourself..."

Skylar looked up, to see Kei smiling down at him.

"K-Kei-san? W-What are you doing here?" He stuttered through his tear soaked face as Kei took a seat next to him.

"I couldn't leave you to yourself now could I? Not after I saw how hurt you were. You shouldn't beat yourself up bout it too much. That's just how Himeji is after all. I will admit, that he's a nice guy...but those of us who are in the business field aren't accustomed to sharing our feelings with others. We need to hide our true selves for the sake of seeming strong in public; Some of us get so good at it....that we forget how to take off that mask once in a while. Same with Himeji. I can remember when i first met him. He was as cold as stone; He didn't seem like your typical 'brat', that's for sure..." The man laughed. "Lately though, he's gotten better. He seems more....open. I wasn't sure what the cause was at first...but after meeting you, I have an idea what it could be." Kei smiled. Throughout the whole evening, Skylar had felt a kind of 'barrier' around Kei's words. Anything he had said had seemed 'cocky', or a 'joke....but as he spoke now...it was the first time throughout the night night that Skylar could honestly say that he believed him.

"You shouldn't be upset with Himeji. He's just not good with expressing his feelings...give him a break."

"Yeah..." Was all Skylar could say as he stared down at his fists on his lap.

"Hey...Actually, how about we forget the ball. I know a place where the 'old man' keeps his stash of foreign chocolates. What do you say to gorging ourselves full?" The man smiled happily, already pulling on his arm as he stood up.

"Eh? W-well....I suppose just for a little...then I have to find Himeji..."

"That's fine." The man waved off his statement as he held his hand pulling him to god knows where. Skylar was at least feeling a little better thanks to Kei...

((I'm thinking about making Kei a good guy after this whole fiasco = w=;. Maybe even bringing him back after the time skip? I love his character too much to just make him an NPC and discard him xD. He'll be 'Kind of' like Skylar's friend...though HImeji will still be wary of him. Kei will also take advantage of this by openly harrassing Skylar sexually in front of him every time HImeji is around, just to tick him off xD.))

"So, what would you like?" Kei smiled as he closed the door once Skylar had walked into the unknown room. From the looks of things, it was a private bedroom...

"U-Uh...Well...Actually, i think i'm fine now. I appreciate your help, but I think it's time that i really should go find Himeji..." Skylar muttered as he moved towards the door. He was surprised when Kei moved towards the door, blocking his path.

"I insist, come on, sit! The party isn't going anywhere nor is Himeji...To sample these chocolates will take only but a minute. I promise," The older man smiled as he pushed Skylar to the bed.

"Er...W-Well.." Skylar said hesitantly as he was forcfully pushed towards the bed. He knew that Himeji could wait...but it was something about this situation that was making him feel nervous. Kei was being..somewhat demanding...

He was pushed onto the bed, as Kei grabbed a box of chocolates from the bedside table. He openned up the box and pulled out a 'rich' looking bonnet and held it up to his mouth.

"Here...try it..."

"Er...O...kay..." Skylar said more confused than ever as he leaned forwrad to take a bite of it. He didn't see why he couldn't hold it...

"...It's really good!" Skylar grinned happily, completly forgetting about the nervousness he felt just a little bit ago. He grabbed for the box to take another one...when Kei suddening held the box away from him, pushing him down on the bed to where he was laying down now with the other on top of him.

"U-Uh..Kei? W-What are yo-"

"Hmmmm....so it seems you really are an idiot. No matter...Idiots are the easiest kind of people to fool." The man said darkly as he leaned down, inches away from his face.

"W-What are you talking about..."

"So easy...It was such a simple task to get you away from Himeji. I think you might be the easiest screw i'll have had....."

Skylar's body was frozen in shock. What was Kei saying? He had been nothing but 'nice' and 'friendly' this whole time....it wasn't possible...Kei couldn't have been doing it on purpose...

It was only when Kei started to bite down on his neck that his motor functions seemed to come back to him.

"S-Stop...Kei...." Skylar began to push the older man off of him as his nibbling went lower and lower until they reached a certain 'nub'.

"Ahn, S-STOP IT!" Skylar moaned/shouted, kicking the man as he continued to push him off.

The older man had already shoved his dress off his sholders so that his chest was showing. Skylar's eyes began to feel wet...it wasn't the fact that he was practically about to be raped that made him on the verge of tears....what hurt him the most, was that Himeji had been right...and yet he had yelling at him and ignored his feeling. He had been stubborn...like an idiot. He wouldn't blame himeji if he decided to never talk to him again.

"STOP IT!" Skylar yelled as he felt the man's hand moving lower and lower towards underneath his dress...

Skylar lifted his leg and brought it up in between the man's legs, hitting him where the sun don't shine. It was only a momnet that the man winced in pain, but Skylar took the opportunity to push him off that run towards the door.

"It's not fair! Why does Himeji always get everything?! Why does he always get to be happy?!" The man yelled, Skylar stopping at the door at the sudden outburst. It had been a surprise, to say the least. He hadn't know Kei had felt that way. By the pitiful look in his eyes, Skylar had trouble believing that he was truly bad...maybe it was because he was too nice, but Skylar didn't believe that he would have went through with it, even if Skylar hadn't kicked him.

He couldn't dwell on that now, however. He had to find Himeji.

Skylar glanced at Kei once more, before he ran out of the room, the dress he had been wearing, still bundled around his waist, showing his chest. Luckily, the halls were empty seeing as everyone was still at the ball. It had been about an hour and some minutes since he had last seen Himeji...

He needed to find him and apologize. He knew that he had screwed up...and that he needed to fix it.

Skylar cursed the fact that the house was so big, seeing he had no idea which way was which...nor did he have any clue as to where Himeji was. All he could do was run...

Skylar contined to run through the empty corridors, tearing up as he ran as fast as possible. He just want to find the one person who he knew that would make him feel better...the one who would brush his tears away and hold him tightly, as if to comfort him....he wanted to find Himeji; Though he was sure that Himeji would probably ignore him and turn away. He wouldn't blame him if he did; He had come to notice it himself just recently...but he had been taken Himeji's love for granted. Not once had said 'I love you' to him...well he could remember he had once...but there had been something like a maybe behind it. He knew that Himeji loved him (well..had) from all the public displays of affection and stuff....but he couldn't think of anything that he had done to show himeji how much he liked him. Why did HImeji stay with him? Himeji was smart...rich....good-looking; And he was....a bottomfeeder...an idiot...and normal. If anything, Skylar was lucky to have him.

Himeji was much better off without someone like him.

Skylar around a corner and stopped. He finally knew where he was; It was the same corridor that the balcony was located in. He slowed down and started to walk, trying to clear his head. Why was he such an idiot? He hated the fact that Himeji always tried to protect him and yet..the first time he's left alone, he gets into trouble. He really was weak...

He slowed down and stopped right in front of the door way of the balcony, his eyes towards the ground in contemplation. If he saw Himeji...was would would he say to him? What should he say? He knew there was no point in trying to win him back..Himeji had probably already found a another girl to take home...someone who was on his level..not a simple minded commoner like him.

He raised his head and took a step towards the balcony railing...then froze. Himeji was standing at the balcony railing. looking up at the sky, with his back towards him.

"Himeji...." Skylar uttered, his eyes still red from crying and his dress still worn haphazardly from not being able to zip it up.

Skylar was surprised; As soon as Himeji had turned to look up at him, he was being pulled into a close embrace. He was surprised...he was confused; But most of all, he was so, so very haapy. Himeji hugged him tightly, as if nothing had happened..as if they were still together. There were no 'I told you so's' nor was there any hostility in between them. It was just Himeji, hugging him tightly and trying to comfort him as he usually did. Skylar just couldn't believe it...Himeji was just too nice. Too nice in fact, that it brought even more tears to his eyes. He wanted for him to scream...to push him away...to do something to him...and yet...he chose to comfort him. Skylar couldn't contain the rest of his tears as he hugged Himeji tightly and began bawling on his shoulder.

"Shh... Don't cry... Kei can be a jerk at times, but I'm sure that he loves you very much... I—" Skylar was too busy cry to understand what Himeji was saying. He just knew that he was glad to have someone like him in his life.

"I... I think that if you talk to him about this, he'll change his ways..."

It was then that Skylar started to pay more attention to his word. 'Talk to him'? What in the world was Himeji talking about? Was he talking about Kei?If so..then why? He raised his head curiously, his eyes still bloodshot from crying so much; It was only then. that he noticed the expression on his face. One filled with pain...and sorrow. What did this mean? Was he still upset at him? Was he sad...because he wanted to break up with him just when they had gotten together?

He felt Himeji leaning down towards his face as if he were about to kiss him on the lips. Skylar was surprised...yet he was happy. Did this mean that everything was okay?....that they were still together?

Skylar slowly closed his eyes, expecting the kiss...but was surprised when he felt Himeji's lips not on his lips....but on his nose. He opened his eyes quickly, a look of pure confusion plastered onto his face. A kiss...on the nose? He wasn't such an idiot that he didn't know the difference between a kiss on the lips...and one on the nose. A kiss on the lips was for couples...whereas a kiss on the nose said 'Strong friendship...but not together."

"I... I love you—" his voice cracked, "And so I don't want you to be hurt. I..."

Skylar was scared; His heart was pounded against his ribcage frantically. Was Himeji...about to do what he had assume he would since this whole fiasco had started...and break up with him? He wasn't sure he could take such rejection...

"I won't hurt him either, since it's obvious to me that you... you..."

Okay...him? Skylar was confused. Just who was HImeji talking about? Was it Kei? Why would he talk of 'not hurting Kei'? Was he angry for what the other had done to him? It didn't make any sense though...why would Himeji be angry when he was about to break up with him?

Tears silently fell from his eyes as he stared at Himeji, his face flushed from crying so much. He was surprised when the other turned his head away from him...as if he couldn't bear to look him in the eye. Was this it? Was this really the end of them? No...he couldn't bear to hear his next words....it would break him...

"You feel strongly for him," Himeji whispered, "Still, it's a little irresponsible of him to let you come running back to me, since you're... well, his, right?"

Skylar face couldn't help but screw itself into one big question mark as Himeji laughed, though couldn't hold it for long. What was he saying? Did he think...that he and Kei...??

Skylar moved around Himeji, so that he was staring into Himeji's turned face. His eyes were still blood shot as tears continued to run down. "W-what are you talking about Himeji? Kei and I aren't together. He....he tried to jump right now, but I escaped. I ran down the hall trying to get away, when I bumped into you here." Skylar mumbled as he looked down at the ground.
