I Ceymore Ratz Why do people keep running over a string a dozen times with their vacuum cleaner, then reach down, pick it up, examine it, then put it down to give the vacuum one more chance? I enjoy seeing the pretty colors of yarn and string I've collected in the bristles when the vacuum finally jams and I have to clean them out with a knife. redface

Lil-Jo I Ceymore Ratz How do those dead bugs get into those enclosed light fixtures? I want the answer to this one... stressed If you go to a Sylvania or GE manufacturing plant, you will find cases of pre-dead insects waiting to be stratigically placed in not-yet-sealed lighting fixtures... ninja

Umberella I Ceymore Ratz Why do people keep running over a string a dozen times with their vacuum cleaner, then reach down, pick it up, examine it, then put it down to give the vacuum one more chance? I enjoy seeing the pretty colors of yarn and string I've collected in the bristles when the vacuum finally jams and I have to clean them out with a knife. redface One of the best things about cutting my hair was not having it wrap around the vacuum beater until it jammed. ...and on the original note...*she champs her toothless gums and says*"I remember a series of greeting cards that had invented words on the front and the definitions inside. One I can remember eek is "Bovilexia" defined as the irresistable urge to roll down the window of your car and yell "Moo!" at cows as you drive by. The card series was named "Sniglets" and I wish I could remember the words for "flipping your pillow over and over on hot nights looking for a cool spot" or the vacuum cleaner trick. You know we've all done it!

'K , well , when you prise the thread of the carpet , where would you put it , hmm? You could reach all the way to the suction head and let it zap it in , but you will inevitably jam the hose aginst the bannister or knock over Grandma's favourite vase.........hmmmm twisted

Has anyone done the one about one shoe on the side of the road?
You never seem to pass a pair of shoes on the side of the road, it's always just one single shoe.
And how does this tie in with those guys I see in the laundry mat who have nothing but a load of 30-50 pairs of shoes? No other laundry, just shoes.

Why do they always seem to sell the nicer cream pitchers and sugar bowls in sets? You never break both at the same time, but you're still stuck buying another of whatever you have left to replace the piece you broke.

Considering I don't do so well in the heat, what on Earth possessed me to rent an apartment right over both the laundry room AND the main water heater for the entire building?

Why does every box of Christmas lights say "For Indoor/Outdoor use only?" as opposed to what? I didn't know there was 'another choice'.... biggrin
