I thought it was brilliant. Very Weird Al and I thought it was funny how they had their fat guy play Gerard and how it said the video director was Spike Lee.
Why all the Hate? Lighten up,folks.

This sort of disgusted me because it's such an emotional song with a really important meaning that... it was like... horrible for them to make fun of it.

I didn't have any sound to it, but it was kinda funny lookin, in that it's a shame Mad has had to go for a band who were just tryin to mind their own business, and wound up being made to look like jackasses. People don't take MCR fans seriously now, let alone after seein that. ANd we comment on how Gerard had a weight problem, but does anyone know whether Mad had known he did, or is that just a tragic coincidence. But now we are gonna have to contend with jibes aimed not only at our favourite band, but now people are take the parody as canon. Narrow minded ********.

Shura-Pendragon Beloved Aurora I don't quite understand the people who are like, "It's funny!" And the people who say, "Well at least they are famous enough to get made fun of." ...I cant even dignify that statement with a reply. I am sure people who were actually effected by the impact of the song didn't find it funny. I cried when MCR played WTTBP live for the first time. Becuase he sang, "We'll carry on." And for the first time in a long time I believed it... I don't know. Always remeber people, this is simply opinion. i don't want to be attacked by this. WTTBP had the same effect on me to. It was during my last season on Marching Band and I basically felt like only 4 people out of 110 cared about me...and the other 106 just wanted me gone. It made me so depressed that after one all day Saturday rehearsal I planned to kill myself. But after Band practice (and a good shower) I agreed to run out to the Mall with my sister and Channel 93.3 had it playing on the radio. My sister (who normally keeps the music really quiet so we can talk) cranked up the volume a lot and said "Patricia, you listen to this song...it's important." It made me start crying a little bit and I suddenly felt really stupid for planning on suicide. I guess I could relate to it a lot because of the entire Marching Band set up. When he did sing "We'll carry on" it just gave me hope I guess and a reason to keep on going...because life does eventually get better most of the time. ....yeah...that's my sob story with that song....that's way it's my favorite that is not a sob story... it's one that proves how much of an impact one band can have. I am sorry you felt alone. I did one too. But then I found MCR, and I knew after that... I was never alone.

Simmi-chan BrightSide--SheCouldChoke I love MCR to pieces, but I still chuckled at parts in this song. Because even though its WTTBP, its not making fun of them, its making fun of Kramer. And I was a bit mad in the beginning, because WTTBP being such a serious song and all, but then I loosened up. Yeah. Hm. Yeah you all have good points and all though. crystal_pepzi I didn't find the skit funny at all but at the same time it didn't piss me off. MadTv is retarded and none of the drivel they produce hits it's mark. Besides, they weren't making fun of MCR, it was Kramer they were after and the only reason they chose MCR's song is because it rhymed with their skit. Also, they didn't make gerard fat, the actor (And I use the term loosely.) was fat, you can't lose thirty pounds in a week for a skit. You guys winWhy? Because they used big font? (LOL)

I hate them" is a rather lame excuse to find something wrong with the skit when there is nothing about it making fun of MCR. Grow up. rolleyes

dude, MadTV didnt do it just to piss you off. Tv shoes like that make fun of everything.
plus they usually have to ask the original person who did the song/show/commercial/whatever if they can spoof it. So chances are, MCR approved it anyway.
