It's also possible that some Asians just say they're emo to be seen as cool. But what's cool about emo? It just shows that you're an emotional person (hence, "emo"). talk2hand

People say I'm emo, but hellz no I AM NOT!
I don't like it when people label me. Yea, I'm emotional but it's b/c of my mood disorder. whee 3nodding I think there's more to being emo than having a disturbing life..........

If by emo you mean emotional, then supposedly they become emo by the pressure that most parents put on their kids to do well in school/career, raise their kids well, marry the right person, blablabla....
Of course, not everybody's like that. biggrin
Take me for instance. Sure, my parents do plenty of that, but I'm always bubbly everyday at school.

I've seen some asians who dress emo in asia. Apparently, there's an emo glasses trend that a LOT of people like.

well i am an asian emo.
and secret is right emos are misunderstood people
i don't slit my wrist and im not suicidal
and yes i get very depressed sometimes but everyone gets
depressed at some time of there life right?
