To a small amount of people, mint and Orange taste fine together. But to the whole, it usually doesn't. Probably because Kelp in toothpaste doesn't like citrus juices.

Many reasons. I think the top reasons/excuses are: genetics, confidence, and experience.

Scientists believe they have found the 'homophylia gene.' They're like that just because of their genetic coding. It's always been like that. Gays and Lesbians haven't been 'a problem' because they'd be killed if they were honest with their preference. Kind of like the equivalence of treason... I guess.

Confidence because of how people feel about themselves. I'm too ugly to get a girlfriend/boyfriend, so I'll become a homo. You can extend on this on your own if you want to.

Experiences of the past can dictate your future? Yes. If you have a horrible enough experience with a certain sex, that could traumatize you for life. Then you'd become heterophobic. (I've made up two words so far.) Some women become lesbians because of rape.
