My problem:

I live in the UK... Most of you guys are in the states which means I hardly ever get to talk to you, what with my working full time and active social life. Now... I did propose to my government that we use giant propulsion systems to push us into a closer time zone... I'm still waiting on a reply. My other option... Save like a Jew ((No offence to any Jewish people, but it is a known fact that you guys are good with money)) and move to america, leaving everything important to me in this country just so I can talk to you guys.

Does anyone see a plausable way of solving my problem?

Tell your government just to change the time zone. It's much cheaper and easier than moving the island.
