My mom doesn't like them because she thinks their music has to much screaming in it. And she also said that they were better than Linkin Park because she claimed that "During all of their songs, they scream... They're going to kill their vocal cords."
And my dad has never heard their music, but he's seen the 2006 calander that I have and he said that he thinks they do drugs and drink alcohol all the time, lol. I told him that they weren't druggies and they didn't drink much alcohol (if not any) and that atleast they weren't into the "Sex, drugs & rock 'n' roll" thing.

UnnameableLover Lets just say that my parents don't know who they are, and it's staying that way. They don't even know that I have the CD. I burned it to a blank disc from iTunes. If they heard their music, I'd be grouded for life. Who knows... maybe I can get a poster... cause I drew a picture of Gerard, and she said he was kind of cute. But made sure to add that she does NOT approve of the dark eye makeup stare . When she first saw their band name written on my notebook, she's like, "Who's that??!! My Chemical Romace means Drugs!!!" rolleyes It took a minute to show to her that it was just something from a book that Mikey saw... She's just gonna have to get over that, cause MCR is my favorite band, and if she thinks she's gonna force her country music into my head, she has another thing comin'. evil We'll see what happens. I want a poster so bad!! 3nodding Just, will I ever get one... crying I'll never get to see one of their concerts either... gonk not fair... cry My parents don't know who they are, either. I think my mom would eat me if she heard them other than on the radio. But then again, I;m kind of a loner on my music. The only bands My parens know I like are The Aquabats, The All-American Rejects and Coldplay. Because they bought their CD's for me. I know they know I listen to other stuff, but I don't play a lot outside of my headphones.
We don't talk about music much. Exept this one time my dad and I made fun of Hawethorne Heights. That was fun. blaugh

My dad really isn't into music at all, but he has been showing some slight intrest in who they are. (when I'm watching Life on the Murder Scene he'll ask which guy is talking) but for the most part he's not really into it.
My mom has learned their first names at least just to keep up when I talk about them. I tend to tell her a lot of the stuff that i know about them, just for the heck of it. She even likes a few of their songs, mostly for the background beats

My mom actually encourages me to listen to MCR because she noticed that I've been a lot happier and less paranoid ever since I started listening to them. She made my dad watch them on Music Choice one time to! My dad is pretty indifferent about them, but he doesn't made MCR at all and let me buy a concert ticket for March 4!

I solemnly swear... My mom thinks they're cute, like puppy cute. I watched Life on the Murder Scene with her (the only DVD player is in the living room) and she practically fell in love with them. She mentioned several times how sweet each of them are, though the only song she likes is Ghost of You and a few more of the calmer ones. Then she heard that quote from gerard about not taking s**t from anyone just because you're a girl, and told me how much of a great band they are and whatnot (as if I didn't know already). If I ever stopped liking them, she'd probably throw a fit and steal all my cds of them. XD ...that I am up to no good

My parents don't really care I guess. Well they know who they are and everything, but they don't listen to them of course and they question me on what they're music videos and songs are about and why there's so much blood and death type things.

My parents are fine with it, as long as I don't let my little brother listen to some of the more explicit songs. But yeah, they've always been cool about my music choices. And they think it suits my personality. >__<

Mum and Dad are pretty reasonable... Dad likes them fine, they remind him of old Brit-pop. My folks are cool...whenever he sees a commericial for something MCR related, or sees an article about them in the Paper or a magazine he tells me. He even updates me on concert and tour dates. whee
Mum isn't all too modern... She doesn't mind them at all, but she doesn't love them either. She hums along to some songs, and surprises me with merhcandise.
Neither of them really mind any of my interests.
I mean at first mum was a bit skitzy about them, she thought it was influencing my style of clothing.. For example, With my birthday money I bought a pair of black and red Hot Topic Vans that had small grey skulls on the side. At fist she'd be like "..Skeletons..??" And would give me an uneasy smile. Now when we shop she's very flexible with my likes. The other day we were shoppin together, and she saw a red shirt with a design of skulls and hearts, so she pulled it off the rack and handed it to me saying, "This is cute, Em! Here's your size, try it on."
Or if she happens to be at the mall when I'm away and something in Hot Topic catches her eye she'll buy it and surprise me with "I noticed this in that little store of yours the other day and decided to surprise you. I think it really fits your personality."
I noticed other people saying earlier that their parents said the music suits their personality...Dad says that as well. ^^
Like I said, my parents are awesome with my style.

My mom doesn't care and my step-dad likes MCR so it goes both ways. My step-dad likes most of my music so it's not a really big deal to me.

My parents don't care on way or the other. I'll be bored and talk to my mom about them for like an hour. It's like talking to a brick wall. xd
