Inoyuri followed behind Arashikara, the ever shyest one of the group having found that her hand was being held by Airen of all people. She would have flipped a lid at the mention of a child of his age joining a dangerous mission like this but knew better than to question or discuss this with anybody above her. So Yuri settled for leading the oblivious kiddo to the meeting place with everyone involved. She was a bit protective over him after discovering that they shared a common factor, Inoyuri looking to him as a younger sibling that wasn't about to make her life miserable almost immediately. But regardless it was a much better treatment than what her actual family had for her. "Sorry for the delay, Iksin."
They all soon arrived, while Iksin was studying the giant scale that had been brought to him by Clem. Looking away from the large scale bigger than the table that it was sitting on and bigger than any of the people in the room, and towards the group as they funneled into the library. "Miss Chouka, Miss Arashikara, Inoyuri." He spoke, more or less leaving Airen out of the list for the time being. When he thought about it, it was kind of important for him to do such, but he hoped that the young boy wouldn't be insulted by it. "I believe you guys are a bit more of an official group, maybe even the most official group of shinobi in Tani. So I have a mission for the three of you." Another pause as he would shift his gaze to Airen. "Mister Airen, I also have one for you. I'll explain what I want you to do after I let them know." He said, to clarify to the young boy that Iksin did have him here for a reason and there was no mistakes made in this situation. The white haired man would reach into his coat, pulling out four scrolls and walking over to hand each of them one. "There's an area that rests on the border of the Land of Rivers and the Land of Winds. Surrounding villages from both Land of Rivers and Land of Winds have been reporting attacks from....well the reports say a 'Monstrous Devil.' It seems whatever this beast is always goes back to the area that I've managed to get and copy a map of. I'd like the three of you to investigate it. What the three of you do with the monster is strictly up to you. I would prefer it be captured and brought back here so I may put it in my nature reserve of course. I am aware that you," Finally pausing for a moment in order to look at Chouka specifically. "have Min Min. I'm not sure if Min Min is a Yokai or a Monster, but taming both of them is very similar. If anyone with you expresses their interest in taming the monster for themselves that is an acceptable option. And I'd appreciate it if you helped them with that along the way. And of course, do not hesitate to slay the monster if you feel like you will not be able to safely capture or tame it."
Finally finished explaining the mission he had for the group of recognized ninja. The large white haired man would turn his attention to Airen. Kneeling down in order to be much closer in height while speaking to the very young boy. "I have two things I want you to do. There are other smaller monsters you'll be able to handle while you are with them. They're pretty aggressive, and have also been known to attack villages. I'd like you to either slay one or tame one of them. And second, I want you to stay safe and watch while your friends take on the big one. If you see any other dangers make sure to let them know, but don't try to fight the big monster ok?" He explained and asked the young boy. "Take however long you all feel you need to prepare for this okay?" Standing up and once more in a position to clarify he was speaking to all of them once again.
Chouka grinned at Arashikara, though she had no answer as to what they were doing. Inoyuri followed behind closely, and though Chouka had been assigned to assist them with missions because of the supposed prowess between their three bloodlines, she hadn't interacted with Inoyuri as much since she'd been busy after the Citadel. Still, she was excited to see what the three of them could accomplish together. "Monstrous devil," Chouka mused aloud, eyes lighting up at the possibilities. "I ain't worried about it. If I can manage a minotaur, this devil thing won't be a problem." She wanted to see what Arashikara and Inoyuri were capable of after training post-Citadel, so this was the perfect opportunity for all of them.
She rolled her wrists and stretched her neck, amping herself up for whatever laid ahead. Instead of asking about the monster in question, she started piecing together what kinds of maneuvers she wanted to show her squad while they were in combat. She turned to Arashikara as Iksin finished, filled with confidence. "Prep, shmep. I think we've got the firepower for some devilish monsters. I'm ready to roll out when y'all are."

“Hmmmm.” Arashikara stretched and yawned as Iksin explained himself. Honestly if the girl had been more awake, she’d probably be more pumped up for this mission. “That sounds cool…” she managed to say through a groan as she stretched her muscles. The blonde shinobi shook her head and patted her face with her hands a couple of times to finish the waking up process. “Yeah… yeah! Sorry, yeah totally, this’ll be awesome! You got this in the bag Cho-cho!” Arashikara grinned once she was back to normal.
“Oh we’re all going?” The Genin tilted her head. She figured Chouka would be assigned this, as the head of the Tani police department. But the Sannin before them was sending Arashikara and Inoyuri too? “That rocks! I’d never heard of a Monstrous Devil though…” she hummed thoughtfully, cupping her chin with her forefinger and thumb. She’d accidentally learned about a lot of indigenous monsters and Yokai that day after the Weald. But none of the books at the Academy mentioned a monster like that. “Iksin, d’ya got something for us about what it can do? Oh I’m so pumped to see it in action!” She squealed, excitedly stepping in place. “Airen, you wanna see something cool???”
Airen wasn't insulted at all by being left out of Iksin's introductory greeting. There were so many people in the room, after all, so it must be hard to talk to all of them at once. Besides, this was just like with the teacher calling on students and waiting in line. He just had to wait his turn like a good boy and he'll eventually be told why he was here.
Sure enough, while Airen became quickly distracted with the giant scale on the desk that he had just noticed now, a feat that took all of .01 seconds, he was brought back to reality by the call of his name. Head turned from scale to the man that the scale belonged to. Smile attentive, he nodded and gave an affirmative, Okay!" happier than his already present happiness before to wait his turn now that he had been addressed, even if only briefly.
With that, as the boring adults did their adult talk of mission stuffs, Airen took that as permission to resume being distracted at record breaking speeds. Look, but no touch. He knew that golden rule. He also knew the golden rule of stay still when called on. Combining the two rules, he stood his spot and only leaned this way and that to get slightly different viewing angles of the big, old scale. With eyes wide as saucers, all sorts of wild ideas ran through his head. Like, how many pancakes the scale would be able to hold if it was used as a plate. If he could use it as a sled to slide down the big hill behind the academy. Could he use it as a boat? Gasp! If he could give the scale to his Mom, would she be happy? The silly things children would usually think.
Luckily, before Airen's thoughts could turn to crime, Iksin was in front of him, demanding attention, and being a good student, Airen was happy to give it. The instructions were simple and easy to understand. Arashikara and Inoyuri had been helping him with his vocabulary, so even though he didn't understand some of the words (like "aggre-... aggri-... aggress-... aggretsuko), he got the gist of what was asked. "Yes sir, Ojii-san!" Airen replied back with gusto to show he understood "Stay far away and watch big sisters when they fight the big one, but I should kill or make friends with the small ones!". Whether or not he actually could do as ordered was up for question, but he sure looked pumped for it.
Talk of prep was made then, Airen's eyes jumping from person to person as each spoke. The calm ojii-san. Pink haired big sis seemed pumped, and so did Ane-san. Airen didn't really understand, but he was honestly just happy to be here, so naturally, when asked a question like Arashikara did him, he nodded his head furiously in response. "Yes!" he agreed, but instead of throwing his arms up into the air like he usually might have, Airen reached out to grab Inoyuri's hand, which he had let go of when they all came to a stop. A bright smile looked up to the timid blonde, "Nee-chan would definitely be interested in seeing Ane-san do something cool, too, right?". His voice, compared to a moment ago, was much calmer. She seemed bothered on her way in here, and Airen thought that talking about fighting might have only made her more sad.

The man in front of them would have affected poor Inoyuri quite some bit. He was large, imposing, and fairly masculine. The three traits that Inoyuri herself had very little to really keep in common with the leader. The white haired man possessed a giant scale that sat to his right, with the Yamanaka's eyes widening in surprise. To imagine the creature that this could have come from was something beyond the blonde girl's imagination. The Akimichi commented about the something this size not being an issue as doubt began to fill the boots of this pretty, somewhat mentally addled Genin. "Easy for you to say." she puffed her cheek out, her new tainted eyes gazing off to the side. "I can't do anything compared to you two." Unlike the other two girls of her little three man team, Inoyuri clearly was the weakest link mentally and socially. A perfect combination for holding her true potential back. She crossed her arms while then looking a bit surprised at Iksin giving Airen a job, out of all of them. "W-Wah-Wait, you're giving Ai-chan a job too? Don't you think he's a little...." her eyes shot Iksin a look, almost trying to ask if he knew what she meant. There was no way that somebody his age could find a way to possibly win against whatever monsters could be lurking in the forest. Inoyuri didn't want the little guy to get hurt any, seeing herself as a sort of keeper for the guy. Somebody who could at least make sure he didn't get hurt any.
Yuri frowned but would continue with whatever kind of meeting that would go next. Chouka seemed ready to go now, with the other too seemingly ready to do the same. It wasn't like Inoyuri could complain or ask for extra time, and instead would nod her head along to Iksin. "I guess we're ready then. Whatever really works best for you three." she said, though knelt down to Airen as she held his hand. "If you're in trouble, just let me know and I'll come running."
Chouka seemed ready as ever as Iksin explained the mission to them. He'd have sworn that he saw her eyes 'shing' so to speak for a moment. Arashikara seemed surprised that Iksin was sending all of them, and not just Chouka. She also seemed excited about the situation, however not so much that she ended up skipping over getting more information on the thing. All the while Airen understood his directions and was quite politely and quietly standing there. Although Iksin would take note of the young boy's slight distraction at the scale sitting on the table. Inoyuri seemed worried about the small boy, and probably rightfully so. However he was sure that sending the young boy would be a positive experience for him. Moving slightly over to the large scale on the table Iksin would lift it slightly and grab a small folder that seemed to have very little in it in the first place. Then would hand it to Arashikara as she had asked for more information on the monster. "Those are the reports from people I have. Some information is consistent but some isn't. I would consider it all to possibly be true in one way or another." Then he would turn his attention to Inoyuri once more. "I'm sure it will be fine. Although," Iksin looked up towards his floating companion and motioned him to come down.
A sigh escaping the dark skinned male's mouth, as he floated down his form shifted into that of a fairly small gold color dragon-like beast. Nothing like the serpentine dragon but more like a simple giant lizard with wings....well medium sized lizard with wings in this particular case. "Aldrich can follow along. He won't interfere in your mission unless he deems it absolutely necessary. You won't even know he is there." The dragon growled a bit towards Iksin, however it was ignored for the most part. Iksin turned back to his scale in order to begin studying it once more. "Good luck out there."
For saving me from all they've have taken, letting my armor fall again, giving me the strength to face them, feeling it taking over.
Tynidas Everwalker enters into the Academy, a full blooded Kenzen, with his black boots clamping to the ground. The sound of the boots could sort of echo and with him naturally blind, the sense of hearing is much stronger. He knows he is touching very solid ground but with him being naturally blind, he doesn't know what material, he can never visualize things. Either way, he keeps trending down the hall listening carefully for any sign of life in his home village. Its too quiet but yet he lingers into a room where his sensory of a person would go off. Like a echo, he gets the outline of the room and where the person is. Though it doesn't tell him what gender they are so that is where questions are important.
"Why are you are the only one here at the Academy? I was hoping to find many others who could be tasked with a mission. Any mission would suit me just fine, whatever of course is needed of a naturally blind medical shinobi like myself." He isn't gifted with the natural sight like others but more keen strength in his other senses specially since his sight acts like a sonar, it gives a fine outline of things but no clear image of the person. To him, its very quiet with just a single person, that he doesn't know is the Shukaku Host, the one tailed beast. Tynidas himself has a cloak over his shoulders, bandages around his body it seems like due to his natural blind sight, he trains in combat viciously despite being a medical specialist but also training his senses.

Strolling down the botanically rich streets was the white and grey clad woman, Mirai. Her form clad in her usual less than perfect condition white robes, with a hooded shawl like cloak shrouding her head and shoulders. She managed to pass by people with minimal notice due to her presence being all but hidden, leaving her rather difficult for people to pick up on without her being in their direct line of sight and this is how she preferred it. Continuing to prowl along the streets it would take until the academy for her to make a hard stop, peer around as is scoping the streets out and then strode up to and through the buildings doors. Slinking quietly along the corridors she searched for a well known resident of the village, the Sannin known as Iksin.
The man had apparently been sending people on missions involving an area Mirai was skilled in, hunting monsters. Though he likely was doing this for reasons like research as opposed to just culling some beasts, either way his reasons were irrelevant to her. She was here for a combination of business and pleasure, most though she was here to find a distraction from the chaotic chorus within the confines of her mind. Things had become more difficult of late with her “gods” becoming more vocal with an unrelenting torrent of information being fed to her with little occasions where she was granted any respite from them. Finally after peaking into a few different rooms she would find what she was looking for, her visible and covered eyes spotting the white/silver haired man, with another darker haired person who appeared to also be there to see the Sannin.
Mirai would announce herself in a gentle and calm voice that shook ever so slightly when she started and finished speaking. ”You are Iksin, yes? My name is Mirai Abe, In the name of the Light herald it is a pleasure to meet you. I am here to offer my services in respect to your work with beasts.” These words were offered before she entered the room, both her hands were pressed together at stomach level in a not dissimilar way to praying. She would walk up beside the other man present and offer him a nod, then turned toward Iksin with a amiable expression, standing totally still and politely waiting for him to get round to her.

It wouldn't be too much longer after having resumed his work and sent the others off that he was soon approached once more. However this time by someone he wasn't expecting, he hadn't called anyone else here so it was a bit of a surprise. Standing straight and turning to look at the man who had begun to speak to him he gave a puzzled look. The way he spoke of himself was a bit...well odd Iksin thought. It wasn't really normal, in his opinion, to basically introduce yourself in the way the shinobi in question had done. Well, Iksin was again only really a shinobi for about a month and a half anyways, so what would he really know about how other shinobi acted. Before he could even get the chance to answer the shinobi another had also shown up. More people that he wasn't really expecting, but honestly this was probably fine. It meant at the very least he some weren't afraid to come to him and ask for missions now. Perhaps it would be a bit less stress for Usagi for him to be the one being bothered by everyone for these things.
That being said, something didn't sit right about the girl who had arrived. It wasn't really some sort of sense or anything like that, just the uneasiness he felt around people that seemed like devoutly religious. And she seemed a lot like that, looking between the two of them the white haired man would nod. "Yes, I am Iksin. Luckily for you mister....uhm...you only introduced yourself as 'Naturally Blind Medical Shinobi' so I am unsure what to refer to you as." He said, scratching his head a bit in confusion. "Regardless, luckily the job I need done may call for someone of your skill set. As you for Mirai, I am unsure of your exact skill set but well you should be fine. There's a monster's den I've located in the Land of Wind. The monster itself doesn't seem to bother villages surrounding it's den...but it's extremely hazardous to the safety of the surrounding area's wildlife and other monsters. Normally these sorts of missions I give you a variety of options, but this one is a bit too dangerous so to speak, you have to kill it. Well...kill it or scare it away. If it's pushed away from it's den then it seems it'll need to set up a new one which will give more time to prepare for it. People who've seen it have been calling it the Corpse Dragon, so I'll assume when you see it you'll know. There is also a high chance you may run into more than just this particular creature. If you do then I will leave what you two do with that monster up to you." Iksin explained, at some point handing the two of them a map that lead to the den of the beast he was speaking of. "Be very careful with this one."

"I do sincerely apologize, where are my manners today, my name is Tynidas Everwalker and it is nice meet you Iksin. It is also a pleasure to have a companion from the Light Heralds, Mirai Abe. Though to be honest, i don't know who the Light Heralds are but it does sound pleasant despite me not able to visualize in sight. Onto the other matter of the mission, so killing it or scaring it away, sounds the Corpse Dragon has been giving a lot of trouble. If i can tame one on the way, that will suit me well."
Tynidas is wanting to figure out if he can use another creature to become his additional sight on enemies and follow it to the enemy. Not just that, but take care of it too, the better he takes care of another life like him, the better they take care of him as well. This mission overall is going to be dangerous, even for him, but he wants to put a stop to the beast causing trouble. With Mirai's help, it will make things easier, specially since he is blind and have to rely on his sonar to trace and track down his targets.

The woman stood stark still as She listened to Iksin speak, her body totally unmoving save for the rise and fall of her chest. The beast that the pair would be going after sounded like quite the entity, though not a true menace when it came to its interactions with people or settlements. Still it was curious that despite its avoidance of people inhabited areas, it still a managed to gain such a menace moniker and with the Sanins warnings of care, it was likely to become clear when she would meet it. Turning around to look at the Everwalker as he began introducing himself, offering a very mistaken opinion as to the entities she referred to as “The light heralds.” He wasn’t to know that his casual response, acknowledgement and use of the names would make her unsure of him now as if he knew the words he said or was simply returning the sentiment was something unknowable to herself. Still she would nod her head at him and then toward Iksin, expressing her confidence in the task at hand without a hint of apprehension.
”We will make sure that this beast at least move from its territory for now, if it is possible though I will see about putting it down.” She informed Iksin before turning back to her partner, indicating toward him with an upturned hand while continuing. ”Mr Everwalker and I will keep each other safe I’m certain. If we can find something a little less unruly sounding, then we might be able to find you a new friend.” The final part gently aimed toward Tynidas, the woman’s hand returning to being pressed against one another in front of her stomach as she maintained a notable neutral expression. Mirai would have a couple questions of Iksin before they would set on their way, namely ”So where about in the wind country are we heading and is their any useful information you might have to this corpse dragons weaknesses?” The second question was more general and not needing an expansive answer, lacking any concern over the creatures actual strengths and preferring to focus on the parts that would increase the likelihood of its demise.

Iksin looked at Tynidas and then at Mirai. For a moment, he thought about it. He wasn't sure why, but he didn't feel completely well about sending Tynidas on the mission. Perhaps his sagely senses, perhaps just a gut feeling. He looked specifically at Tynidas and would speak. "Upon reconsideration of the situation...I'm not sure I should send you on this mission. This is currently the only other mission I have though, so perhaps you should meet with our Tanikage and ask her if she has anything for you to do." He explained,
Turning and walking up to Mirai standing almost directly in front of her. "I have a bad feeling about you. You seem like a very religiously bound person and I've had poor experiences with most of them. However I do need this mission done and I can not do it myself. So I am still sending you on this mission." He explained himself a bit before taking a few steps back and then sighing. Reaching into his jacket and pulling out a small file. "I can not give you any solid information about it. Reports who've seen it say they've barely actually seen it in the first place. It comes from the sands, strikes at extremely large beasts capable of their own forms of destructive behaviors, and then disappears just as quickly. You'll be going to a portion of the Land of Wind where the sands of the desert seem to have turned black. Your best bet for a weakpoint of the beast is likely it's mouth if it has one."

"Roger that." He didn't waste time to head on out, even though he could of stopped and had formalities with Mirai. It was a direct order to go check with the Kage for work and he will do just that. Each step of his boots allowed the echo senses to help guide him out of the building into the direction of the Kage's office.

First Post! "Seems like this year of students are just as motivated as last years, this should be good” the instructor noted while rubbing his chin observing his young pupil participating in the course. The academy this year was filled with many different prospects from different backgrounds and prominent clans. Tanigakure had seemed to be really good at drawing in many different people and it could’ve been because of their leader but also where the land was located and it’s natural resources. it was a good thing and a great place to be in the meantime. “Now for our last lesson of the day. You all will participate in this obstacle course me and the other instructors designed. The purpose of this lesson is to reach the goal at a reasonable time individually. You’ll have 5 min to complete the course and any time beyond the 5 min given is a fail. I will signal when to begin” his explanation was direct and very simple but it was something you could tell the young students were already accustomed to. Amongst the 12 participants the young Uchiha confidently began stretching to loosen his muscles in preparation for the course. hands on training was his strong suit and something that kept his interest “This shouldn't be to bad.”
While everyone finished with their preparations and discussions amongst each other the instructor motioned towards the side of the course to began. Still in view of his class, he’d raise a hand above his head with a signal that instantly gathered his students attention as they filed in cohesively at the starting point. Tengoku gathering at the last spot would crouch in a ready stance like the others awaiting the instructor’s next command or gesture. He wasn’t sure what to expect from the exercise but he was ready for anything challenging or unexpected. “Go!” The instructor let out a deep shout while chopping down at the air with confirmation that the exercise had begun. It was from that moment that each of the 12 kids would start heading after one another into the obstacle course.
Tengoku moving easily through the first part of the course would arrive at the first obstacle point where the instructors constructed a pathway with wooden ledges sticking out from beneath the ground and a unknown substance below them. This would cause Tengoku and a few of the other kids ahead of the pack to come to a stop once seeing what they were up against. “Hey no pushing, We all can’t make it across at the same time! ” one of the kids would whine as Goku would make his own observation to himself. The whiny kid was right, there were only a few ledges but making it across shouldn’t be all that bad if they were careful..probably even a couple or 3 at a time could make it even. Using his left hand to flick his bangs outta his face the young boy would sigh lightly before deciding to keep moving there was no time to debate and if he wanted to be first he needed to get a move on quickly, taking a step forward Tengoku was set to lead the way but then was interrupted by some trailing students. “OUTTA THE WAY!” Two voices shouted out towards the gathering children in unison. 2 of his classmates would jump ahead of the young Uchiha bumping into each other as they both tried to head across the ledge at the same time. Their actions would cost them falling into the gooey like substance “ Aww man, We’re stuck!” They’d speak in unison once again before then arguing with each other.
The rest of the kids would see this but not pay attention to the falling boys but instead would continue towards the finish line moving through the first obstacle with minor effort. Tengoku was still ahead of the pack, though he did have company with 2 more eager classmates following closely behind him as they’d arrive at their second trial. There was a large wall in the middle of the course that towered over the young students blocking their view of the opposite side. Their only choice was to go over the it. The 2 students now coming to a halt once the Uchiha stopped would watch as the young male began Channeling his chakra. Tengoku recalling his previous training would place both hands together making a handseal as chakra began to mold around the soles of his sandals. Once the right amount of chakra was dispersed he’d start ascending up the large wall immediately making his way to the top. This wasn’t the first he’d use his tree climbing technique for traversing different surfaces was something the young teen had already been working on with his grandfather and mother for a while. It also helped with getting around places and finding shortcuts through out the village.
Once at top there was no time to slow down or check the progressing of the others, he was ahead and close to end. He wanted to finish the activity as quickly as possible for anything longer than 5 min was a fail. Placing his hand on the zip line that was awaiting those who successfully climbed the wall, the young uchiha would glide his way safely down to the bottom of the remaining course. Flipping mid way off the zip line as the boy then rolled himself forward back into a running motion crossing the finish line within a matter of seconds “Did it”. His instructor was there to greet him and the other students following behind at the end. Today’s exercise was over but much was still desired from the young uchiha and the other academy students. It was a workout but not as difficult as training they endured in previous lessons. Once the instructor gave his final lecture it was about that time for everyone to head there separate ways. Families would start gravitating towards the school picking up some as some left in a group with their friends. The Uchiha on the other hand had other plans. With graduation being in a few months the long haired Uchiha wanted to use the rest of the evening to get in some more practice and training before heading home.
