Nurse Redheart had finally made it to the party. She had attended the year before and had a good time. So why not. This time she had brought her adopted son. He needed to get out more.
"Hmmm." She walked over to the Champagne Fountain and took a glass.
"Bottoms up!" She drank the whole glass in one go. The bubbles tickled their way down her throat.
"Ah! Oh that was nice. But I think I'll wait a bit for my next one."



Starshine followed his mother in. He hadn't been out much these last few months. He was was surprised to see others who looked like him.
"This might be fun." He watched his mom drink from one of the fountains.
"Hey mom can I have a sip?"
Redheart looked right at him. "No! You can drink from this fountain."
He sighed and took a drink from the Water Fountain.
It was cool at least. He decided to wander around a bit.
"Mom I'm gonna just wander around ok?"
Redheart smiled. "Just behave ok? I'll be around this area for a little while." She walked over to the food table to get herself something to eat.
He nodded and started to walk around.


Raspberrina had used magic to make legs. She wandered around this strange gathering. It had looked so interesting. She walked over to the Water fountain and took a drink. She noted it wasn't salty. It was a wonder clear taste. She wandered about looking at all the new sights.

She did so love these parties. Any excuse to see her handsome husband dressed up, and to dress up herself. Her black wrap dress managed to be both sexy and functional, as she could easily slip out of if she needed a dip. If she didn't know just how crazy these parties became, she would've worn something flashier. But woth snake pae, bat pae, and tiki pae, she wasnt going to wear anything that would be a struggle move in.As it was though, her scaley flesh was more than enough sparkle. And her silky hair ran loose, glinting in the light. "Junior..." She blushed before flashing a smile. "You know how to make a girl feel pretty." She rested her cheek upon his shoulder, reaching up to fix his collar. "Where did you pick up this sharp suit? The city?" Ooo, if he ran to the city maybe he picked her up a gift. She did like new sparkley jewelry. "It fits so well, im impressed."

As close as Kelebek was to him, it never made him particularly anxious, nor suffocated; rather, it was a warm and comforting feeling. Not unlike a mother's embrace. He'd make sure to burn the gesture of them even being here into his memory as one of the kindest gestures he'd ever received.

Truly, from the bottom of his heart, he appreciated it.

Laughing lightly, he gave her hand a soft squeeze and nodded. He wasn't sure if he was being so gentle for her sake or for his own, but it really didn't matter... did it? An action was an action, a consequence a consequence. The intentions could only account for so much.

There he went again, his mind getting ahead of him.

Focus on the party. Focus on the warmth by his side, in his hand.

Pulling softly, he moved to the top of the tank and offered his son a smile as he noticed him with another adult... Kel's daughter-in-law, right? Mnemo was it...? The two were proper cousins if he remembered right...

But he wasn't going to get in the way this year; it looked like the boy had a proper task to be doing, and if that didn't make him proud, what would?

As he surfaced, he let go of Kel to pull himself out before turning around to offer a hand to her.

A very over done shocked expression painted her face but didn't touch those mischief glowing eyes."My, you'll want to be careful.." The words themselves could be a precursor to a threat only there was no aggression in her tone.

Laughing low and smirking deep, Lillibeth reached down to ruffle his hair, "Wouldn't want to rattle those pebbles free would you? Can't afford to lose too many more." Gleefully she flew back up to a comfortable height above the crowds. From here she could look down on the walking sandcastle.

Beyond him drinks abound and one glass of wine sounded just fine. Maybe it would help her get through the evening?

Looking around at all the pae, he had say, "I hope so, or this is my last party. Well the last one should have been..." His sisters had other ideas, if it wasn't because his Mom got involved they probably would have gotten away with just ignoring the two.

Following behind his date, it took the young male a few minutes longer than it should have to drop his arm and let it hang awkwardly by his side. 'Its only right' he told himself, she didn't know him that great. With a sigh he kicked up trying to still be a gentlepae.

A passing little winged pink thing with drinks appeared near the fountains. One try had two left, something with bubbles? And another flat liquid. If everyone was drinking them they couldn't be too bad. Right?

Taking the unknown drinks, soda and wine, he offered them to Asrun to allow her to take her pick, "Would you like one?" While she made her choice water reflecting from the giant tank of all things caught his attention. "Would you feel more comfortable in there?" It looked like a water pasture to him. If it weren't for the fact that he knew she came from the water he'd never have suggested it.

Juju had finally found himself awaaaaaaaaaaay from the crazy of his... 'mother... Dosvi and at a rather quaint little shindig. So far she either hadn't noticed he sneaked out or just flat out didn't care. Probably the latter, given her mood as of late. Something about nimwap breeding season and needed several pounds of potatoes to keep them at bay.

Okaaaaaaaaaaaaay.

Sighing, shaking his head and shoving away the thoughts of his crazy guardianmotherwhatevershewas, Jujufisk made up his mind to do his best to have fun. However that might happen. Come to think of it, his upbringing had been so....well... Dosvi that he wasn't exactly sure he knew how to have fun. At least, not in any traditional sense. Seeing now all these different types of pae mingling around, he was pretty sure banging two spoons together and chirping wasn't exactly everyone's forte.

Unsure of where to go or who to even speak too, Jujufisk wandered around until he found himself next to a rather strange looking fountain. Bubbling goldish liquid poured from it, causing the teen to eye it with a strange mixture of emotions. What manner of liquids was this? Was it good? Bad? Did it summon nimwaps?

Reaching forward, Jujufisk stuck a finger in it.

Perhaps the root of the issue Alioki was having in getting Asrun to treat him as anything but a kid was that - to her - that's just what he was. A kid. She'd watched him grow up from within the confines of the swamp, so it would take quite the catalyst for her perspective to change.

Even if she was alone with him at this 'lovey dovey event,' she was so out of the premise of helpin out the kid.

That, and she was utterly incompetent when it came to picking up subtle social cues, such as he'd been doing all along. If she wasn't told outright that the kid had a crush on her, it wouldnt be surprising if she never came to realize it on her own. That's just how she was.

She hadn't even been paying him much mind, reaching forward for a tasty little snack, when the sprite's voice brought her eyes once more to him. In his hand there were two nicely poured drinks of unknown origin.

Mmm...

Common sense would say to be a bit more weary about being handed an unlabled drink from somepae you weren't good friends with, but she figured the kid couldn't hurt a tadpole if he tried. Whatever it was, it was probably fine.

Reaching forward, she delicately picked up the the one free of carbonation. She brought it to her nose, taking in a whiff of its sent before sipping on its contents. What a delightful aroma~ And this taste... It was neither too sweet nor too dry, and it didn't leave her tongue with that chalky residue some of the drink at the Queen's party had done. It was... "Tasty~" Smiling at Alioki, she proceeded to finish the flute.

Warmth almost immediately came to her cheeks, not that you could tell due to her red scales.

"Where'd you find that gem; it was pretty damn good!"

Glancing at the water, she shrugged.

"Should be good f'r another couple of hours. Why? Did'ya wanna swim 'er somethin'?"

Well, so much for minding her accent.

"I dunno just seems weird ya know Cuz? Ya sure we could probably handle all this but...We're not done training? Our moms are better trained for all this and have experience with this sorta thing. Just feels weird...Or grandma has some sorta plan she's not telling anyone." That could be true too.Either way Theras sighed and leaned against the wall as his eyes gazed around the room. "Why do some of the fish things look like they were hit with a ton of bricks. Grandma won't stand for a bunch of downers ruining her party....Is that something we should care of or tell our pony cousins that the party is lamer then Uncle Pothos' stories about his stalker." Theras glanced over to Areus as he spoke.

Leiroy wasn't entirely sure how he got talked into this, but here he was... in a hotel lobby... with a big party going all around them... with a little green doe he'd worn a tux to impress. He hated tuxedos. But he didn't hate her. Nah, she was cute and gentle, so he traded his jingle bells for a red tie... that he now tugged on, feeling a bit self conscious.

Clearing his throat a little, he nodded down at the doe. "Sure looks that way, little darlin'~" His own voice wore a drawl as well, with hints of an accent from a southern land. He couldn't resist smiling back at her, and reached up to gently brush one of her locks behind her shoulder and away from her cheek, which he let a thumb graze over for half a second. Then he grinned, and did a slow little spin with his hands out like 'look around us'. "Well darlin', you've successfully got me out to my very first par-tay, so... What shaaaaalll we do?"

Of course, the options looked to be dancing, drinking, and eating, but still! He'd let her lead the way as he tried not to let his one antler get caught in any low-hanging decor.

Aidan let out a small chuckle as he glided over to Qadira. "Our timing seems perfect. Two parties so soon." Well...The last one ended in disaster. The poor queen and her consort. They should keep a ear open at least. Maybe someone would let something slip about the princesses whereabouts.

She shook his head slightly to clear his thoughts and let his tail curl around Qadira's. "Did you see all those in the lobby when we were brought up here? All those different wings...It's rather exotic, don't you think my dear?" The ocean was so vast but just being here was like a different world. So alien to them. "Maybe I should try to see if they shed...A few behind your fins would bring out the glow in your lovely eyes." His fingers gently trailed a path behind her ear fin as he smiled softly to her. Despite all that had happened, they would make the best of the party. Just the two of them.

Valko hadn't expected to stay in the forest for very long, but when he ended up finding Hatil there he ended up staying longer than planed, not that that was a bad thing.

Even if he had to deal with Hatil's grumpy sister, he still had a ton of fun exploring the forest with Hatil and going on all sorts of adventures.

The giant lake that they had to cross to get here had been easier for the harpy sisters since they can fly. Valko was lucky enough to find a boat so he wouldn't have to walk around though. Admittedly the boat ride was rather fun.

But now they where here and could have tons of fun! Valko blinked when he felt someone grab his hand, his head tilted as he looked at the pae in question, Hatil, when she motioned for the food table his eyes lit up and he nodded with a huge grin. One mad dash to the food table later, and he was hoarding all the snacks, okay well just a plates worth or two. (in his bag to go and another plate to eat now)

Taking the bubbly drink she didn't,he investigated his own drink. Sniffing at the unknown drink, notes of sweetness and what could best be described as a tickle in scent form. Shrugging, he downed the full flute as he would water. This was a mistake. Bubbles danced back up his throat dancing in his nose of all places, or so it seemed.

Reaction brought not forth giggles from somewhere they had never lived. "This stuff is so much fun!" His date's reaction echoed his own, or he echoed hers. "One of those pink things had it." Looking around with great enthusiasm, he tried to scan anywhere. Trouble was his eyes were everywhere suddenly noticing everything there ever was all at once.

Half focused, he was able to respond, "I just didn't want you to be uncomfortable. But if your fine lets go find more!" He reached for her this time boldly grabbed her hand. Half a pause to his bouncing leg as it occurred to him he was actually holding her hand.

Grinning wildly he encouraged her to come with him with a little tug, "C'mon lets find more!" Was he pulling her to find more drinks, to dance or just run along? At this point, the jury was out with a shameless grin and a laugh.

One, two, three shrimp skewers went into her mouth, then a piece of some other meat and, lastly, a frog's leg that didnt quite fit. The end of it stuck out as she chewed with comically puffed-out cheeks, a smile on her face and her eyes wide as she glanced around.

Ah, nice thinking Valko! Some for now, some for later! And plates, those were a thing, weren't they.

Reaching forward, her hand paused as the moisture seemed to vanish from her mouth and her eyes widened further. Too much food! Too much food! Something. She needed anything to drink! As she looked around desperately, she saw a nice, full glass of something golden sitting on a cherubs tray and grabbed for it. While the poor thing was startled, he didn't so much as move as she picked it up and hastily finished it in one go with a loud gulping noise.

A sigh of relief escaped her lips after swallowing.

Ahhhhh man... That was close...

Oh... What was this... Blinking, she turned, her head seeming to lighten almost immediately, but not in a bad way. She kind of liked it. Everything seemed a bit brighter, yet hazier, and she felt pretty good. It was even nice and warm - had they just turned on the heat? - perfect for a party.

Looking at Valko, she offered her friend a solid thumbs up to signal she was good before grabbing another skewer and half-jogging-half-skipping over.

"Valkooo~~ What'cha got~?"

Tree Hugger laughed softly, if not long as he spoke. She glanced down briefly at her pale purple dress with golden trim, smoothing out a wrinkle. Her usual bandanna was replaced with a ring of flowers. "I vote for something...that peaces out or natural energy fields." she smiled dreamily up at him, giggling softly as he brushed one of her locks from her face. Tugging gently on his hand, she pointed off towards a more open area with tables filled to the brim with snacks and various drink bowls. "Perhaps we could start, like, over there?" she tilted her head at him before pressing forward.

The loud music and lights from a near by DJ booth caused her to pause, if only momentarily. While she had hoped to dance with the wood looking gentlefaun she brought with her, something about the upbeat pounding music simply didn't stir anything inside her. At least not yet. She would need a moment to cleanse her chakras before she could get into any of that with any sort of authenticity. "I think, a little food would be a, like, nice way to break the ice, ya know? Plus.... it just tastes good." she laughed, reaching over to pick a few berries off a plate and hold it out towards him as if she were going to feed him herself.

As she gazed into his eyes, a strange goopey fountain in the distance had caught her attention and caused an odd sort of smile to spread across her face. "Radical." she whispered to herself as she slid her gaze slightly to the left and glanced at it from afar.

Fraise was just about dancing before she got into the door. She was SO EXCITED! Zoran would be there soon! Hopefully soon. Maybe. She hoped. He normally came! It was their...Date? Sorta? Kinda? She didn't know for sure. She just knew every year the flyers came out and her heart started to race. This was their time together! She did miss him. Every year. They really needed to meet up more often then just once a year...But this was so special to them! At least it was special to her. She clapped her hands together and bounced on the spot as she looked for...Her boyfriend? Were they dating? How many years had they come here together? She stopped bouncing and got lost in her thoughts. It had been a long time...Would Zoran like for her to be his girlfriend? Should she ask? Was it pushing it too far? What if he didn't want to? The joy was just about knocked out of her with that thought as she bit her knuckle. She...Didn't know what to do all of a sudden.

She felt a cold shiver spread through her body as she looked around for any sort of answer to her problem. They never really talked about it before. What could she do now? Tears weld up in the corner of her eyes as she just about started to silently panic.

Asrun's eyebrows shot up in an exaggerated fashion at the onslaught of giggles. Where had this...? No. Actually. She could probably guess what it was. He'd been holding back this entire time, the stress of that last party and his crazy family and everything he'd had to put up with had finally bubbled over.

That was good.

Right?

Destressing was good. And now, she could help him.

That said, it'd caught her completely offguard as he grabbed her hand, the force of it causing her to stumble forward on legs that were suddenly less steady than she'd thought they'd been moments earlier. How strange... or so she would of thought if she'd had time to think. As it was, it took all her mental fortitude to not continue forward and fall right into the boy.

"What're we lookin' fer?"

Her words seemed to come with a particularly heavy drawl, her eyes wide and dilated. She gulped silently and blinked slowly, both confused and intrigued by the whole new sensation seeming to grip her senses.
