"Yeah that makes plenty sense. Though who knows maybe Minervs gots a reason to be all sneaky stalkery or something. Have uh... you spoken to Noeh at all recently?"

"Yes," Jeremiah said, letting out a breath. "I want to trust her but then it is hard to when there are obviously ulterior motives."

"Don't suppose you got any insight on what those motives are huh?" Shun asked. He wasn't familiar with Noeh, personally, so he couldn't make many guesses on the matter.

"Revenge? Desire to take back what was hers? Do something else?'

"Not at the moment, no. Other than she is not pleased that the Spinel Lady resurfaced but then who is?" Jeremiah shook his head. "I do not believe the Court was ever truly hers, that perhaps it was hers in name because she helped create it.

"That it was not an honor but a constant reminder of what she had done."

"Yeah uh... kinda saw some of what happened in the theater. That was some ******** up s**t, yo. It kinda looked like Adoelle was calling the shot though, yeah? Not that it matters much at this point."

Jeremiah blinked to hear that about the theatre. "It ... showed you some of what happened?" That was- That was horrific. "Adoelle needed someone outside of the original group, supposedly, to do what Minerva did. Magical contract law is her specialty."

Shun ran his hand through his hair and nodded slowly.

"It started off kinda normal. Like Adoelle and Minverva were writting some stuff. Couldn't actually see what they were working on, yeah? Then there was Ming and Jennifer and like... Ming was having a breakdown it looked like. Screen went all red and then there was Silk carrying a girl who was all bloodied up."

"That-" Jeremiah shook his head. "The way it was told to me originally was that Melany was not deliberately picked. That they had planned to use a schema of Renard's. Yet another told us that Melany was brought in, drugged, and laid out as they flayed the skin from her back to carve the Sigil of the Charter upon the bone of her shoulder."

Shun furrowed his brow a bit.

"Uh...what does the schema look like? I dun think I saw anything like that in the theater, but ya know. Either way that's kinda ******** up."

"It looks like a large stone, vibrant in color. It pulses with magic." Jeremiah's eyes were closed briefly as they cracked back open. He knew where the schema was, though it was not precisely the original.

"They hold information essentially and help you build a framework for a powerful spell."

"Hm. Yeah. Didn't see anything like that the-- Oh. Wait. Jamie has one of those things! I think... No, yeah. The lil bugger was carrying around a rock while we were all in the void trying to figure out what t'do about the seals. No one really knew what it was but uh... apparently it came from Renard?"

Shun got a look for calling Jamie a little bugger. It was not necessarily a good look at all. "More than likely from the time period he visited in the Void. Renard had been there in the 80s, in New York City.

"Yet his work was nowhere near completed at that point, so if that schema is close to a finished product ... that is worrisome." A hand smoothed across his face. "Worse that there's a time component to the schema that is responsible for the cycles. At least, that is what is believed- whether or not it is true, remains to be seen."

Shun lightly tapped his fingers against his arms.

"If that's what helped get us all into this mess, there's gotta be a way to use it to reverse it, right? Do you know if Jamie's done anything with it since then or has he just like... used it as a pretty paperweight for the most part."

"We'd need to gather what was originally used to even begin to consider reversing what they did." Jeremiah watched Shun closely. "However, as for the schema? It's essentially Jamie's now. His use of it could change it enough that it won't be any good for us and he may have another purpose for it."

Essentially: it was Jamie's. They would have to work around it.
