The young fish boy had stirred for the first time in a long time. Hours it seemed, had another day gone by. He sat up, and everything was dry. His casts seemed to have shrunk a bit, or maybe that was just his imagination. He looked about to view an empty room. "Guess he didn't wanna be partnuhs after all." He felt that blow, like a shot to his pride. To wake up and find the guy who made a promise was gone. Well, Merlin had done a bad thing. He couldn't really blame the man, it was probably best to find someone who was always about their comrades from the start. Still, he fiddled with the blankets a bit out of some lack of ease. "Nuh, es fine." His tiny feet wiggled from the edge of the bed until they lopped onto the floor. It was kind of hard to get dressed like this. Guess he would have to find another way to go about it until he could dress himself.
He kind of just walked around the room in circles, since he was left to himself, he would have to find a way to entertain himself. So, how did people have fun alone. His trot around the room was for him to look at things, and try to discover what exactly he could do. "Urrrrrrrrrrrrggggh!" He would mouth in discontent, he had no idea what to do in this situation. He kind of wanted to just throw a tantrum until someone came in to give him attention. Still, he didn't have that luxury. He already had strikes against him for being a kid, he shouldn't build too many. If it got back to the hire ups what he did in Lyneel, he'd probably be out on principle. "Hmph." He walked back over to his bed, throwing his arms across it. He shuffled his feet around, clawing at the edges of the bed until he pulled himself up. His chest was heaving, apparently that was a lot harder on him than he thought. He laid on his stomach, arms and legs extended in a star like shape. His face to the window, staring out through the blinds with a dead pan expression. Then a huff, and a sigh. "You promised." Disheartened, yes that would be an appropriate phrase in this situation. Still, he had managed to hold back his tears all of this time. So they wouldn't come, well he could still feel himself being tired. So he had no other choice but to go back to sleep.
He crawled up to his pillow, wiggling on his stomach until he could bury his face in the thing. He laid there just like that, for ten minutes maybe until he finally faded out into la la land. His slumber taking hold of him, an image of him standing in a place covered with snow. The blond haired woman was beside him, they were waiting on a gift from some extra super beefy man in a sled. Who had a big bag of presents. He wasn't really sure why they were there, but the memory soothed him "You decide what's right, you decide what's good." He remembered he told her that, and she praised him for growing into a caring man. Cause ... Oshino taught him that. "Oshino ..." He would speak in his sleep, the name meant a lot to him. He could feel it in his heart, even the realm of his dream shook under the weight of a mere thought. Still, there was not a face to put to the name. He couldn't remember that much, and a part of him didn't care to remember. It was this same part that lacked a care for the lives of others. And until Merlin was aware of this existence, he could never fix what's wrong.
