I was definitely creeped out before. I don't even know how and when I started loving yaoi, it just happened.

At first I was positively creeped out by anything more graphic than hugging and kissing, but two guys making out weren't any more embarassing to me than a straight couple doing the same thing.
It's probably because my first contacts with homosexual relationships were completely neutral; when I started noticing negative attitude towards gay people around me, I already had my own opinions.
So, the way I had to go was not from disliking gay ships to liking them, but from disliking hardcore stuff to enjoying it.

The first shounen-ai I ever came across was some very fluffy Kurama X Hiei stuff. At first, I thought it was a little bizarre. I was 11 or 12, and I knew what gay meant and all that, but I had never seen pictures of it. My second reaction was to be pissed off--Kurama was MINE! scream But the pictures were just so cute, I got over my irritation pretty quickly. I still thought it was kind of unusual, but I liked it. ^^

No. Actually come to think of it, two guys, or two girls for that matter, kissing or "touching" never bothered me.
Well.. to tell the truth the first taste of same sex fanfiction type thing I ever had was Yuri, and it was completely by accident[if you can believe that] and it was Karou/Megumi from Ruroni Kenshin so the only thing I could really think about was..."why are they doing this? Karou likes Kenshin! Right..?".
xd So it didn't really bother me that it was two girls...

I think I remember being emotionally scarred once I saw slash of my favorite cartoon charecters. I mean sure, it was hot, but I dont think I was ready for it. xd
Butyeah, now even the really hardcore stuff is hot to me.
....If myself in June saw the stuff I saw now, she would have freaky seizures or something.

iwanttobeasleep Did gay guys kissing and doing. . .other things. . .creep you out, even a little? I know it did for me, but I got used to it and now, here I am. I'm curious, because I am off the opinion that the reason most women aren't into yaoi/BL is because it's strange to them and thus creepy the first time around, and gets avoided after that. From the bi male perpective I gotta say that it always intruiged me, even before I realized I was attracted to men.

Well, the first time I saw something like that, it was a Yaoi based animation.
I wasn't shocked, or scared, but my face flushed, even though no one was around me, and I looked away because I didn't understand it. I than went and searched, "Yaoi", in google. Big Mistake for a girl who blushes at everything heart xd At the time, I thought it was the weirdest thing in the world, and something that could be considered as "Porn" xD ..
After that, I started exploring in fan fictions, than started looking into real Yaoi anime and the like.
I always loved it, because it made my heart skip a beat and such... xD I was a weird child... Than again, I'm a weird teenager...

When i got started it was with a fanfic i was so naiive that time...it was a DN Anggel yoai fic, i thought it was spoilers so when iread it i was like wtf! but it is pretty cute. So i never was scared or anything. 2 weeks after my first encounter with yaoi i became obssessed xD sweatdrop

I never really thought about it much. One day I was writing a story as I commonly do. I like guys so much there weren't any girls in the whole story. So when I wanted to make there be love I just picked a couple of the main characters. Love is love after all. And it fit right in with the story.
