:[VDAY 2016]: The Voyage Celebration (Party Thread)

Aquarious had followed in her partner's appearance: she was in a pleasant pastel yellow dress that hugged nicely at the top and then flowed easily into a floor length skirt. In her hair she wore a hairpeice of baby's breath and plumaria, which was giving off a heady but pleasent aroma in lue of perfume. She didn't wear much more in the way of accessories, hoping to stay plain enough that others wouldn't try to pull her too deep into socialization.

Normally she wouldn't have agreed to come to a party, especially knowing how many other pae would be there. However, the thought of Thulani dancing with another pae had struck a nerve with her and made a pit form in her stomach. She knew she had no right to be jealous, it wasn't like they were dating or anything. They were just close friends, that was all. Still, she felt that she didn't want anyone else dancing with him.

"Food would be wonderful... and maybe a drink as well." Aquarious gave him a small smile, pushing down the unease she felt. She would endure, and then after a few hours she would ask to return to the room, attempt to rest, and really spend the rest of the time wondering and worrying about which of these other gorgious pae he was dancing the night away with. Oh how she hated how cripling she was in large and loud crowds...

Andromeda felt Darias' arms around her just as she was about to bolt to find the most isolated corner of the boat, and the sense of safe fell over her. Darias' voice was soft as he said just what needed to be said. Closing her eyes, Andro nodded, still feeling her muscles twitch with the need to run. "Aye, aye...." She took a shaking breath, working to try to pull herself together. "I think.... I need booze. Lots of it." Yes, alcohol would help with coping. Or at least make it so that she could deal with this later with a hang over.

Navidad stepped into the party hall, one of the more later arrivals to this swinging happening. She looked around with pure excitement, bouncing a little in her green cocktail dress with the cute little lace accents. She had come just in time so the the glorious performance being for the golden god, and she immediately looked around to see who she could recognize. For a moment, she caught a glance of her friend, Caine, but before she could wave to him, the crowd blocked his view.

Stepping lightly and easily, she wove herself through the crowd, looking to find where most of the single-Pae dancing was happening. No need to look for a partner, but it would be nice to not fight all of the couples for some dance floor space.

"I love you too," he answered her sign as he began to sway with h. "I hope this is alright, let me know if you want to do something dif-" Azure cut off, what on Telrunya was he doing talking like that. He should be telling her how beautiful she was!

"Dyas, you are the most beautiful creature of all that I have and have not seen. There is no one like you. It really is the truth." He whispered in his ear as he continued to sway with her. He wanted the whole island to know that she was the most beautiful, he glanced up at the stage where Hymnaios was singing, thinking of using it to announce this. Yet, at the same time he wanted to keep her beauty to himself, her beauty was for him and him alone. He looked back at Dyas, deciding that he didn't want to share her.

Kleta was patrolling near the beverage bar, making sure no one spiked the punch. Ha! She really could care less if someone spiked the punch, someone should spike the punch. She was of course around to intervene if any pae got into a lover's quarrel, although she would probably grab some popcorn and watch, rather then stop that from happening. Every Venus party needed some good entertainment, and Hymnaios' singing just wasn't cutting it for her.

She stalked around the party looking for someone bored, and spotted a fae who looked a little lost. Maybe it was just that she was looking for someone or something, but it seemed to Kleta that she certainly needed a little bit of fame in her lonely life. Kleta fired an arrow, blowing on her quiver, as if it were a smoking gun, when she was done.

Navidad has been struck with Kleta's arrow. Kleta's arrow will cause your pae to worship the first pae they see as a hero. Your choice who she sees first.

Cerelia sighed in complete contentment as the harpy turned around and spoke to her! If she could be any more happy than she was right now, she was likely to explode! "Oh, but you have already done it!" Cerelia responded, ignoring the irritation in the others voice. "Just by being here, in the same room as me." Her voice was over-the-top coated in a sugary squeak as she spoke. "You've made me the happiest pae alive!" Cerelia paused, giving the harpy the chance to speak, because when she spoke it felt like fireworks were going off within her soul.

Cerelia was normally a fairly bubbly and happy pae, but she had no idea that she could feel like this.

Lannister's eyes grew wide as another pae approached him, had he been caught? Not that he was doing anything wrong exactly, he just still had his hesitations about the whole arrow thing. If anything bad happened he was sure to put up the bow for good.

"Oh hello," Lannister responded, some relief in his voice knowing that he was not caught. This other pae was, however, blocking Lannister's view of the pae he had shot and he was still very concerned about what might happen. Lannister side-stepped and moved his head, clearly trying to see behind him. "Oh? What kind of fun were you thinking?" Lannister asked, his voice sounding distant as his mind was clearly elsewhere.

Dysmas smiled and laughed about being the only valuable thing that Sweetie had, it was a cute thing to say. Though it gave him the idea that perhaps he should sneak away from her at some point during the trip and get her something special from one of the shops, something to remember this trip. With any luck, they would be remembering only good things.

Dysmas shook his head at Sweetie for doubting herself, "Oh Sweetie, you look amazing." He was sure she would look good in anything, but she really did look good in this. It was Dysmas who felt like he could've dressed up more for the occasion, especially escorting such a lovely lady as Sweetie. There was nothing he could do about that now though. "Hm, where should we start?"

Bastet entered the Pink Pearl taking long, graceful strides, her head turning from side to side as she scanned the room. She looked to be a picture of poise at least at the moment.

This was not the case several hours earlier as she recovered from a massive hangover due to slurping down way too many drinks too quickly and then feeling the alcohol. Perhaps she should have heeded the warning she had gotten after the third drink, but it had been so delicious, and the alcohol so well disguised behind the other flavors that she kept going, insisting she would be fine. The next thing she knew she had woken up in her room, presumably the cherubs had carried her there, but really she had no idea. At least she had forgotten that she was on a boat.

She felt much, much better now, but decided to stay clear from the beverages at this party. She cruised by the appetizers and grabbed several little meaty finger foods and popped them into her mouth.

What did he think was fun? Crap! He was hoping Lannister would provide the fun! Quickly glancing around, he struggled to peice together an idea.

Dancing? Cahooting? Eating? Upon seeing a Christmas themed pae slip by, he grinned. Of course. Maybe he could involve others in this "fun" he had to think of.

Turning back to Lannister, he opened his mouth but noticed that Lannister was trying to see around him. This wouldn't do. He had to have his undivided attention. Twas only fair. Did he not look handsome and debonair? Incredible smooth? Was he not handsome enough to garner full attention of anybody?? This party was starting to get to him.

Quickly steppingto the side, he attempted to snag the Christmas themed pae by the hand and spin her back into his arms. All in time to the music.

He'll show this...flamey...faerie...guy who deserved to be looked at.

I was planning this as soon as I seen her show up. Kleta's arrow just bumbled things. lol *glares at wolf*

"PARTY EXTREMELY!!" came a loud shout as a very party familiar fae came fluttering into the party room dragging a new friend in toe. "Sooooo much pinky pink!" she gleed, stopping only once they had reached the middle of the room to gaze upon the stage where the band was playing. Already Prisma's feet began to move to the tune....not that her feet needed any help moving.

Turning to her friend again, she glommed onto Bia in a huge huggey hug extremely. "I am Prisma! So happy to be meeting you extremely! We are going to have so much fun, oh yesy yes! What should we do first?!" the fae peered at her new friend excitedly. As if she ever showed any other sort of emotion.

And then her eyes caught the sparkling silverware on the buffet table.

"OOOOOOOO. MORE HAIR PRETTIES!"

Aaaannnnnnnd with that she was gone, shoving forks and spoons into her pigtails as if they were hairclips.

Somewhere along the edges of the party, a drink serving tray floated around, ducking behind pillars, sometimes below tables before finally stopping just shy of the marble fountain next to the bar.

Blue fingers gripped tightly around the tray moved slowly down as a curly black head of hair and large blue eyes peeked out from over the tray out at the party. He was scanning the crowed for a certain blue mortal with silver hair and flashy clothes. It didn't take long for Pothos to spot the pae in question and he seemed quite distracted with not one but two pae.

Good.

Lowering the tray, Pothos crept over to the bar and waved timidly at his brother, a weak smile on his face. "I'm.....trying?" he said, half questioningly, half trying to reassure himself as he stepped behind the bar and set his tray down. "Any......new orders..." he asked quietly but pointed a finger towards his bow and stepped behind the counter to pick it up. Why did mother always make them do this? Why was this fun? Maybe if he at least had arrows like Himeros....

Oh well. Best get it over with.

Picking up his bow, he glanced at his twin then back into the ground, lacing an arrow into the bow....

Chini was rather proud of her plan. Though a few pink chunks, now locked away in closets, got in the way of some of their 'fun' it had turned out successful! They had a pile of clothing that they now had to figure how to dispose of, but other wise their pile of shinys was just as impressive. Chini even considered keeping some clothes- especially anything fuzzy.

They both decided they'd wear their success to whatever this dancy thing was. She didn't know what to call it, she'd heard it called many weird things. All she knew was everyone was putting on sparkly stuff so Chini and Pasha better as well, right? So she shoved as many of her new pieces up her arms and neck. It got so ridiculous at one point that she almost couldn't lift her head up. She supposed she didn't need to wear all of it and just picked out the biggest and brightest.

Chini kept trying to check her reflection in the shiny rocks the boat was made of, but couldn't get quite a good look at herself as she and Pasha headed for the party. She huffed and gave up as they came upon the stairs to the grand event, she was sure she looked as sparkly as their loot! There was no doubt about it-

She gave off a startled sound. Look at all the Pae! More so, look at all the beautiful, glittering treasure they wore! There was already one after the shinies on the table! How dare they! Chini growled and nudged Pasha to look that way. They never had competition before so this was a very new thing for Chini, and she was mad!

“Our shinies!” she cried, before running for the railing. She leapt onto it and slid her way down. With a quick pump of her wings, towards the end, she lifted herself off of it and into the shadow of the stairs. As much as she wanted to jump on this...this... shiny stealer! They had to play it smart. They were good at what they did.

So, she waited a moment for her sister to catch up before they snuck around the shadows to the table. Then she paused and watched, waiting for the perfect moment to make her move. They'd reclaim what was meant to be theirs!

Pothos pulled back on the string, his hands shaky at first. Shutting his eyes, he took in a deep breath to steady himself. Blue eyes slowly flickered open and fingers released from the string...

The arrow flew from the bow, across the room right into a brightly colored Naiad talking to a harpy. She already looked so happy just to be here...and now she was shot with one of his arrows. Pothos sighed, setting his bow down and silently mouthing 'I'm so sorry.' to himself before picking up his tray and hugging it to his chest.

That didn't go so bad. Maybe she could do this and not mess up this year. Aglaia smiled at her success, even if the arrows didn't really have an affect, but she didn't know that.

Time to try again. Maybe be a little bolder with her selection. The goddess of Beauty floated around the room nonchalantly listening to conversations trying to get a feel for who might benefit.

Aha! This one might be amusing. Aglaia took aim at an adorable little pink naiad.

Amatus was having mixed emotions about this event as a whole.

What started out as an awesome adventure, quickly turned into seeing ghosts. He had believed Adonis was good and dead just to find him well and alive? Of course there came no explanation with it, which only caused to piss him off more. He wish he didn't care, but it was hard not to after what you had seen. Plus, if felt like a big 'ol joke at his expense. What kind of sick humor did these people have?

A part of him didn't want to have anything to do with this event. He wanted to explore the ship and eat a bunch of food with his twin and forgo any interactions with others, but at the same time he felt like a duty called to him. He'd been eyeing the bow since they got them, curious as to the beautiful arrows that came with it. It just seemed so... personal.

He'd finally given in. As much fun as it would have been to ransack the boat, he also had a craving to attempt to meet new Pae. He'd run into a lot of family at their last gathering, but this time could be different right? And with this nifty looking bow at his side... Oh, man, he could woo so many lovely ladies with this thing! Well, as well as shoot the darn thing off. He'd been itching to do that since he'd gotten it.

So he slipped on a bow tie. Just a bow tie. Why would he cover up what he had been so graciously given with clothes? Nah, he'd let the ladies get a hold of him in all his beauty. This was very apparent in the way he strutted into the party. Alright, which lady wanted to be his first victim?

Actually... He stood a moment, waiting for his sibling, before slowly drawing an arrow out. He took a step behind Erasmus as to not be in direct peripheral view. He wanted to be the first one to try it, but didn't want to alarm his brother and possibly have him whip an arrow out without him. He notched the arrow and drew it back as if it was a part of him. Suppose getting to see that beautiful bow wielder at the last party had really paid off. This felt so natural for him.

He let the arrow fly, hoping it would bring a lady crawling to his side.

The lovely Goddess of the Soul sashayed around the lounge, letting her finger gently brush the backs of the plush chairs she passed by. She'd noticed her husband pop in briefly, but he seemed in a hurry to just get this done. It was odd, to say the least. She was disappointed he didn't want to stay for a little dance or some pda at the very least.

In her stroll of the lounge, Psyche came upon a cute couple. Two little angels just in the spring of a relationship. Perfect.
