If you were in a ska band...

Oh yeah, I just thought of my band.
We're having a line-up dispute.

Here are our options:
1:
Nick-Trombone
Sean-Bass
Christian-Guitar/Vocals
Kevin-Tenor/Alto Sax
Tim-1st Trumpet

Carl-Drums

Or

2:
Nick-2nd Trumpet
Caleb-Trombone

Or

3:

It's a predicament.
Our line-up now is 1.
But if a few of our horns don't deliver in the ability to play, and such. We may switch 2.

Or the idea proposed to me on accident by our Sax player of the 3rd option.

I'll get back to everyone, but if you have a suggestion, please tell me.

My suggestion would be to stick with those who are on the same "skill" level, at least until the others get better.
But you gotta remember to keep track of who's going to be around longest. In my old band, we lost members because they moved away and we couldn't find anyone to replace them.
Aaaaand it helps to make sure everyone gets along. No sense in having someone join when they can't get along with another member.
Also, music preference is important. It's hard to play together when some members think you should sound one way, and others think you should sound totally different. [/rant]

And almost everyone but Nick and Sean are new to Ska.

Then we're kicking our bass player out cuz hes turned all emo/screamo/hardcore on us and looks like a f** now, plus he's always bitching about something too... So we're booting him as soon as we bring up my friend from work to speed with our songs XD

Ya' see, he's a lot younger than us.
anyway, his brother took his bass for his band, 'cause he only owns guitars.
So, we have to find a bass to hook him up with so we can actually PRACTICE. XD;;

We've been having trouble with that. Seven guys with either a job or another event to get stuck in, or a sport, sucks so hard. @_@

We were lucky enough to not have to kick anyone out of the band... lol they just moved away.
Our drummer/guitarist is all emo/screamo too, but he's a fan of ska so it's cool. Actually, I kinda look like a scene kid... but I blame them for wearing band t's and checkered Vans shoes. That was my look for as long as I can remember sad

Our trombonist forgot his trombone, so he stayed home.

We can play the intro of the song. XD

Heh, my band uses the high school band room to practice, but last week, we got in trouble because the drama kids were practicing for a play and we were too loud... even though the drama room is supposed to be sound proof xd
