Ƒαяѕєη Lσк ✖ High Human ✖ ✖ Mercenary ✖ ✖ Neutral ✖ "Catches?" Farsen repeated slightly confusesd. He tilted his head to the side but shook his head not wanting to go into further detail. "It's just a room," Farsen said after hearing her response, "there's nothing to catch in there unless you're wanting to go fishing." Sadly Farsen was still thinking too innocently to completely understand what the girl was trying to refer to. Farsen turned his attention back towards the receptionist and began to ask for his original business, wanting to know more of the area and clues. Shortly after his conversation he asked for a second key to his room and handed it over to the girl and started leading her towards the room.
"By the way, my name is Farsen Lok, a traveler who's pretty much a hired arms. What brings you to town miss?" Farsen asked. They walked through the halls getting closer towards the room. [Location: The Main Inn lounge ][Mood: Slightly cautious][What I'm thinking: She won't swindle money from me!]

【 Ever followed the man down the hall, a little shocked at the current situation. Just that morning she had been tending the bar with Shay, and now she was staying with a strange man at the inn. With a sigh, her ears tuned into his words and she began to form her response. "I am Everleigh Rossalyn. It's a mouthful, so please call me Ever. I..." She thought for a moment. She was not sure she could trust this man, and she knew she couldn't go around telling everyone she met that she planned to join the Lights. She thought on a response before continuing. "I just quit my job to move onto different adventures, is all. I am exploring what the world has to offer." She smiled slightly at him, not even convincing herself with her own excuse. While it was not necessarily a lie, it was anything but the truth. She attempted to direct the conversation back to him in hopes that he would not question it. "What are you doing here, Farsen? Were you hired to come here?" 】

Ƒαяѕєη Lσк ✖ High Human ✖ ✖ Mercenary ✖ ✖ Neutral ✖ "It's nice to make your acquaintance miss Ever." Farsen replied and stopping in front of his door to his room. "Excuse the slight mess, I didn't properly put away my equipment when I first entered and changed." Unlocking and opening the door, the room looked very basic and small. Of course it would be small though since it was a room for one. Farsen immediately began to put away his equipment and placed them on a chair in the corner of the room, folding and placing his armor and weapons.
"Sorry to hear that you quit your job, but if you quit it must have been worth quitting." Farsen said finishing his cleaning. He turned to look at Ever, "I'm here by coincidence. I needed a quick break from my travels so I came here. Currently I don't have any jobs to take care of, but I do need to find some soon since I'm a bit short on money. Oh, have you decided on how you'll be making some money?" [Location: The Main Inn Room ][Mood: Friendly][What I'm thinking: ]

【 Ever looked into the room with a doubtful expression. She hadn't brought any pillows or blankets with her, so she would have to ask the staff to bring some for her. She noted that he seemed to have a lot of equipment. She, on the other hand, had only really grabbed essentials and a few outfits. She picked the spot on the floor she would be sleeping in and set her bag there. Ever then looked back to Farsen, listening to the words as he spoke them.
Ever thought on his question regarding money. She wasn't sure how she would get the funds for her adventure now that she was out her job at the bar, and she wasn't even sure where she was going. The home of the lights was sure to have some sort of employment, but she had no idea what she would do until she got there. "Honestly, I have no idea. Do you have any suggestions for me?" She looked to him with hopeful eyes. There was not time for her to get a permanent job, but a temporary job to help her gain funds would definitely be helpful. "I'm sort of looking for something, so I won't be in town long." She admitted, not giving away the full truth of where she was going. 】

Ƒαяѕєη Lσк ✖ High Human ✖ ✖ Mercenary ✖ ✖ Neutral ✖ Farsen balled his hand into a fist and covered his mouth, holding back a small laugh as he looked at Ever sitting on the floor. "You can sleep on the bed Ever, you're pretty new to traveling and you didn't bring much of anything." Farsen said as he rummaged through one of his packs an pulled out sheets and a pillow to lay on the floor. Farsen began to lay down the sheets at the foot of the bed, and when he finished it looked exceptionally comfortable.
"To be honest," Farsen began, "I don't have an actual job so I don't intend to stay long either, but I do make enough to get by. Basically I'm exactly what I said I was, a hired arm. I do almost anything from physical labor to escorting and so on." Farsen looked at Ever scrunching his eyebrows slightly, "I don't think you'd be able to do much of that. You do seem quite fragile, heck I'm surprised you made it here even without a scratch on you." [Location: The Main Inn Room ][Mood: Friendly][What I'm thinking: ]

【 Ever gave Farsen a questioning look as he seemed to be laughing at her. She looked longingly at the bed, but she refused to move from her spot. "I appreciate the gesture, but I am perfectly capable of sleeping here as well." She insisted, looking up at him a bit defiantly.
Ever gave the man a small smile and shook her head at his comment. "I am stronger than I appear, you know." She informed him. She reached into her bag, pulling out two daggers. "These are my backup, for if my magic defenses fail me. I am far from fragile." She added. Ever did not mention that she had spent her entire life fighting to live, as she did not feel the man in front of her needed to know this information. Instead, she insisted upon getting more job information out of him. "I am fully capable, if you must know. Will you help me get money? Perhaps I can afford my own room here next time." 】

Ƒαяѕєη Lσк ✖ High Human ✖ ✖ Mercenary ✖ ✖ Neutral ✖ Farsen looked at Ever as she sat defiantly on the ground. "It's not a matter of capability or not. I just don't want the bed to be wasted, plus I already laid down my sheets to sleep in. I've slept outside on dirt, rocks, in the woods, and plenty more uncomfortable spots so take the bed." Farsen explained as he sat down on the sheets he had laid down.
Farsen looked at the daggers that Ever had pulled out and nodded sarcastically, not fully aware of Ever's capabilities of combat. Her appearance didn't show her as much of a threat, but Farsen wasn't one to completely underestimate her. "You can use magic huh? I can use a little bit of magic, but it's nothing to boast about." Farsen said getting up once again. He walked over to his equipment and picked up his bow from the elves he used to live with. It was a longbow, strong and beautifully crafted with the flexibility of wood and the sturdiness of metal. "I personally think you should be using a weapon like this. From a distance, but still very deadly." Farsen looked at Ever once more holding out the bow. "I suppose I can help you work for some money. What I'm mainly hired for is mercenary type of work, and wherever I finish my job is where I usually travel next. Are you okay with that type of job?" 【 With a sigh Ever rose her hands up in defeat. "Fine, you win. I will take the bed." She agreed, smiling slightly at the strange situation she was in. She stood from her spot and moved her bag over by the bed before proceeding to sit on the edge of it. While she was glad to have the bed there, she knew it was going to be strange to sleep in such an unfamiliar sitting.
Ever shook her head at the show of his bow. "Unfortunately the goal of my magic is to steer others away from me. I only use weapons when they get close. I have been considering switching to a sword, but until recently there was no need to do so." She informed him, her voice carrying a bit of leftover sorrow from Shay. She forced herself to smile through it and waved away his bow. "I would be happy to join you, if you will have me." She said. It was strange that such a possibility had presented itself right when she needed it. She hoped that she would be able to find the secret of the lights on one of the jobs, which may make it easier for her to find her way to wherever they stayed.
"If this is what we hope to do, I should probably train more with swords. My daggers are not nearly as effective as they should be." She admitted, holding the small weapons in her hands. Shay had taught her how to use them in hopes that she would be able to defend herself if anyone ever attacked the bar, and Ever had become incredibly good at the weapon. She hoped she would pick up the sword just as easily. 】

Ƒαяѕєη Lσк ✖ High Human ✖ ✖ Mercenary ✖ ✖ Neutral ✖ Farsen nodded with a slight smile content that Ever took the bed instead of him. Farsen set the bow down next to the rest of his equipment and rubbed his chin lightly to show that he was in thought. "Well I suppose daggers do help you attack quickly up close, but the reason I suggested the bow was because I don't expect any enemies to get close." Farsen said confidently. It was a subtle 'Nothing can get past me' intention.
"Well if you're interested in a sword I can definitely help you with that as well. My weapons of expertise is the sword and bow, so I can give you a few training sessions and tips on how to use them properly if the time arises." Farsen said pulling out his sheathed sword to show Ever. It was a long and slender katana, that seemed too flimsy to do anything at all, but what Farsen usually does is enforce it with magic to make it almost indestructible. "And I wouldn't mind taking you along, it's dangerous, but if you're as tough as you say you are then you should be fine."
"Since it's decided then I'll briefly explain my plans after tonight." Farsen began as he put away his sword and sat down on his sheets. "Apparently this inn is a meeting place for an escort job, and if you are aware of this inn it houses both Darks and Lights." Farsen said in a hushed tone. "The escort job doesn't hire until morning, so technically I didn't lie to you when I said I was here for a job, because I didn't have a job as of yet." 【 Ever shook her head at Farsen's show of confidence. "I don't expect others to get close either, but I prefer to have a weapon in case they do." She explained, watching him set down his bow. "My worry with daggers is that I would be allowing them to get closer than I am comfortable with." She added, remembering when she had first learned how to use them. She had never expected to need to know combat, even if she had grown up in an orphanage. The world had a habit of surprising those residing in it.
Ever watched with excited eyes as he took out his sword. She smiled brightly at him, happy to have already met someone that could teach her how to stand a better chance in battle. "It would be wonderful if you could teach me! I should get a sword, of course. I will need money to get one, though." She admitted, frowning at the thought. "I am sure I will be fine until I can raise enough money to attain a sword."
"An escort job?" She questioned, raising an eyebrow at the man. "That sounds like something I can handle." She mused, thinking about her fighting abilities. Suddenly, she became aware of a very real possibility for her. "Do you know who we will be escorting?" She asked, hoping it would be some lights. If that were the case, she would be able to ask them for more information on their headquarters. 】

Ƒαяѕєη Lσк ✖ High Human ✖ ✖ Mercenary ✖ ✖ Neutral ✖ "With a sword you will definitely have more distance than with a dagger, but daggers do have their advantages as well." Farsen commented as he began to lie down on the sheets. He put his hands behind his back and looked up towards the ceiling. "We can start our training whenever actually. I can make a few wooden practice swords to start off with until you've raised enough money for your own sword."
Farsen closed his eyes and started to think a little more on the escort job tomorrow morning. "Well, since we're only escorting there isn't much detail yet. I don't even know our final destination or which route we're taking, or how dangerous it will be." Farsen said in unenthused voice, "It's unfortunate that we have such little information, but what I do know is that we're escorting a merchant. We'll get more info once we show up." Farsen turned on his side trying to find a comfortable sleeping position, which didn't take too long. "For now let's get some rest." ooc: You can timeskip to morning, just assume Farsen already fell asleep ^^ [Location: The Main Inn Room ][Mood: Slightly cautious][What I'm thinking: ]

【 Ever nodded at his words, listening as she laid back onto the bed. While she was very tired, sleep did not come to her easily. She found herself being haunted by thoughts of Shay and how her future would unfold. This, paired with the new and unfamiliar environment, made resting quite difficult for the woman. After a while she was able to fall into a light sleep, preparing herself for the next day.
-timeskip to the next day~ -
Ever awoke in a daze. She rubbed her sleepy eyes as she slowly tried to take in her environment. The bed itself seemed unfamiliar, and someone seemed to be missing. Ever sat upright, still not comprehending that she was at the inn rather than at the bar. "Shay?" She cried out in a panic, still unsure where the other woman was.
After a few moments, realization kicked in. Ever looked down to the man on the floor, embarrassed at her sudden outburst. She hoped that she had not woken him from his sleep, as they seemed to have a long day ahead. 】

Ƒαяѕєη Lσк ✖ High Human ✖ ✖ Mercenary ✖ ✖ Neutral ✖ It took Farsen almost no time to go unconscious. He laid on his side and closed his eyes. Farsen opened his eyes and sunlight was already leaking through the window curtains, blinding him a little. He heard a small shout, but he wasn't awake enough to hear it properly. "Mmm..." Farsen groaned sitting up slowing from his bed and rubbed his eyes. He got up and went to the bathroom to wash his face and to help wake him up a little. After he finished in the bathroom he went over to his equipment and searched for a new pair of clothes to change into. Farsen seemed to had forgotten Ever was even there as he began to undress without taking Ever into consideration.
Farsen's undressing took more time than it needed to. He was wearing a long sleeping robe so all he had to do was untie the belt around his waste, but he pulled it ever so slowly. His back was facing Ever as he was undressing and he sat down on the bed. Still unaware of Ever's presence Farsen's robe slid down his back. His robe was untied, but he was still covered from the waste down by the robe. [Location: The Main Inn Room ][Mood: Sleepy][What I'm thinking: ]

【 Ever's eyes widened in surprise as Farsen began to undress himself. Her hands quickly moved to cover her eyes, a small squeak of surprise escaping her mouth. "What the hell?" She exclaimed, still not uncovering her eyes. She had never seen anyone like that except Shay, and Shay was a girl. She had never really put much thought into the difference between the two genders, and she didn't care to figure out the difference when there were more important things to do.
Panicked, Ever grabbed for her blanket and threw it at the man. She was unsure how to respond in the strange situation, and she found herself suddenly running to the bathroom to get out of the room.

Ƒαяѕєη Lσк ✖ High Human ✖ ✖ Mercenary ✖ ✖ Neutral ✖ Farsen was caught off guard by the sudden blanket attack. He quickly uncovered himself in time to see Ever's figure go into the bathroom and shut the door. He stared at the bathroom door a bit shocked by what he had just seen. What was that? Farsen thought and rubbed his eyes once more. He had just remembered that Ever was also in the room with him and he nodded understanding that he was not in the room alone, and that it was in fact Ever that ran into the bathroom. Unfortunately Farsen did not understand the situation so instead of changing right away, he loosely put back on his robe, exposing most of his chest, and loosely tied the sash to the robe.
He walked to the bathroom door and knocked lightly at the door. "Are you okay? You ran to the bathroom pretty quickly." Farsen said from the other side of the door. "Is your stomach hurting or something?" He asked, still clueless of the situation and the reason why Ever ran.
