Well, I didn't make my username. I have two accounts that I constantly use, side by side, and the name that I first chose for that was: soccerslam7 because that was my email. I then changed it to Shalysteena, because the name is actually: Shannon Alyssa Christina (for my friends and myself) mushed together. I have changed it yet again, but I keep it private because I don't want anyone to know that I am friends with them....twice!
This account was not named by me, but actually my best friend in high school who gave it to me. I don't know why she named it like this, but, I take it as either a FullMetal Alchemist or MASH reference. Like in FullMetal Hawkeye carries a gun, but in MASH Hawkeye will: carry on, carry a tune, carry your books, carry a torch, Cash and Carry, Cary Grant, carry my back to old Virginia, and eve hari-kari if you can show him how, but he will NOT carry a gun!

I was 12 years old when I picked my username and thought "Darkened Light" was cool and edgy. Light that is in the process of becoming dark? So rad apparently.
Unfortunately I was young and stupid - I misspelled "Darkened."
Never had the motivation to correct it, though.

Unfortunately I was young and stupid - I misspelled "Darkened." Never had the motivation to correct it, though. Even if you did have the motivation to fix it, it looks like the correct version might already be taken. cat_razz

I was originally "Crunchy Fetus" but then I kept getting judged unfairly.
I guess people liked to think I was pro-choice when I'm not. They never bothered to get to know me instead I just kept getting hate mail and stuff.
So I changed it to "Epileptic Urethra".

Kangit Pwnder koromyst  During my earlier online years, I had a habit of being tightly reserved about my personal identity, keeping myself mysteriously shadowed xD So, my initial username was then "mystwyze" --- playing on the words of "mysterious" and "wise" =P
Then Digimon became a hit. I was so attached to Agumon's rookie stage, Koromon, which ended up with me changing my username to a fusion of Koromon and my old username xD Thus, "Koromyst" was born! (^O^)
It has been my username ever since. Especially when it's always available to use when signing up at various sites xP However, now I don't feel so unique as I've noticed (through Googling about myself hehehe...) that there are others out there using this name =P But yeah... most of the results were about me since I was the one using it first I think xD First dibs!!! right? A lot of usernames are a play on other usernames and or a fictional character. If I translate it, partially in Japanese it would mean Black Mist, which is kind of ominous if you think about it. Either way, your spelling/play on the combination demands a certain amount of respect. The way it sounds, the way it is spelled = awesome. Koromyst said so!!!!koromyst Exactly! xD
I should have patented the name and pursued royalty rights. Lololol~ xD
...-and I didn't know it would be translated like that in Japanese. Sounds pretty awesome x3~
On a side note, I would have liked to claim the name "korotaku" as well but sadly I could only do so here in Gaia by naming my mule that way xD I think "black" in Japanese is actually kuro, not koro. But koro can mean other things in Japanese, at least according to Denshi Jisho. The meaning seems to depend on the kanji you use (not that you can use kanji in usernames, but still). yes you are right emotion_facepalm And I thought I was all cool n stuff emotion_dowant

Nemone Lol back when I was making my Gaia account I wanted something pretty and cute and I have always loved Sea Anemones so I decided to try Anemone but of course it was taken sweatdrop . So I tried Nemone and I originally thought of it being said like Anemone without the A but over time it has become just said like Nem-own. After Gaia I used it in every game I ever played in because it's rarely taken and I like sticking to the same name. Plus I like the name Nemone. Heck I think I'm more used to being called Nemone than I am being called by my real name. When people ask me my real name half the time I'm just like.... "Nemone." Lol. xp Reminds me of Nemo when he asked, whats an Anemonoe, In Finding Nemo

xena91388 I've had my username for a long, long, long, long time. I'm fairly certain I first created it back when I had AOL dial-up. Somewhere between 2000 -2002. And I've used it everywhere. EVERYWHERE! If you ever run into a "xena91388" anywhere on the internet, It's probably me. How did I come up with it? Story time! When my dad first put internet in our house, the only e-mail address we had was the one that came with the service provider. Naturally as I explored more, I didn't want to be using that e-mail for chatting with friends and stuff because I didn't want my mom and dad all up in my business. So when I heard you could have free e-mail accounts at Hotmail, I went there straight away. I literally spent an hour straight on that website trying to come up with an e-mail name but everything I wanted was taken! Then I heard my dog Xena barking outside and on a whim put her name in and then my birthday (9/13/88.) and it went in. Then when I made my Neopets account, I wasn't feeling creative so I used the same name: Xena91388 Then when Youtube came around, I thought: "Why not?" Xena91388 Then Gaia, Allrecipes, TGWTG, XboxLIVE, etc, etc, etc... Seriously, Google my username and you'll find me everywhere. Awesome! I too stuck with angiela88 for just a little while during the stone age of internet connections. Free email accounts rock. To this day my mom doesn't understand that concept though. She still uses the email account she gets with her internet service.........

First I was Demon Master the First, cause well >.> I didn't want to be last emotion_awesome
and well, as I started going into RP, I started a new Avatar and Went with Mea, I was into Egyptian History, by that time I new Mea Meant Kitty in Ancient Egyptian, so I had my name of Lady Mea
Then on down with Mea Seth Hotep ( Kitty, Seth is pleased ) and Further when I was Gaia Married, Mea Seth Minazen and so on, then I eventually got to this name XD Goddess Mea Seth Hotep, due to my RPC << since 2005, being a Goddess in the RPs, so yeah, this one I am keeping forever emotion_kirakira

Lol, I'll never understand why people would want to use an e-mail that could become temporary when they change service providers. I actually knew someone who switched from the dial-up provider Net-Zero to cable but still payed for Net-Zero for FOUR YEARS at $10/month simply because she wanted to keep the e-mail! emotion_facepalm

"Well, I am terrible at naming things. Any thing really, usernames, characters, videogame characters. Anyway, when I have a breakdown and can't think of a name to use for a site, I turn to different languages. Fictional languages more often than not. When my friend first got me to join up, I sat for what must have been thirty minutes trying to come up with something before giving up, bringing up the translator for my favorite language back in 2005, popped in a few of my favorite words, and ended up with this. It really is just a common word, just in a different fictional language.
So yeah, that's how I got this. I should change it since I typically only cosplay one person constantly since 2007 on this account, but I grew attached to Crytuf."
