Nyx came in in a blue dress that matched her bow wings. There were so many pae how would she find her date when he would not be able to hear her calling for him. But that would not be as hard as it seemed he was up in the air. She giggled as she waved her arms to catch his attention as she walked over to him.

Lust grinned at her date "oh yes, the pony that designed it was a rather great designer if I must say, one of the best if truth be told" she said as she took his hand and kissed his cheek "thank you SO much for this, I couldn't have asked for a better dress, you have done a fantastic job with it and you look rather handsome yourself" she said as she smiled at him sincerely before she looked around at the others, some dancing, some getting a bite to eat and she...she wondered if the pony could do a waltz "how good are you at dancing?" She asked curiously, silently thanking her Aunt for teaching her ballroom dances at a young age.

While the party guests went on about their business, a small, golden apple rolled across the ballroom floor, stopping in the center of the room.

Engraved on this beautiful golden apple are three words:

"For the fairest."

Louise looked up and smiled at the coffee colored pae in the snazzy tux. "Good evening," she responded, "Actually, I'm here on my own, but I can wait with you if you are waiting on someone?" Louise responded, a question in her statement. She hoped he wasn't waiting on anyone, it would be more fun if she was able to spend time with another single person rather then become a third wheel. "Louise." she introduced herself simply, offering her hand to the stranger.

Twizzz gulped. Yeah, this was definitely one way to crash a party. As he stared at the mellons who were freaking out, he wondered how long it would be before they were escorted out for destroying the food. Twizzz glanced back over at the faun with his head buried in a bowl of pudding. Could a pae drown in pudding? Twizzz decided to pull the faun's head out of the pudding bowl it was for his own good. "Hey buddy, you find them yet?" He asked hoping to give the faun a chance to take a breath before he went back into the bowl. Twizzz hoped they wouldn't get kicked out before he found a candy bowl and refilled his bag.

"Why yes, I must agree." he grinned cockily before it faded into a genuine smile. A kiss, he wasan't expecting. On the cheek or not, but he smiled, took her hand and placed a kiss on the back of it. "Anything for a lovely lady." he grinned. Of course, he wanted to add that it was also for his reputation, but he decided that for the night he was going to be a gentleman for her if nothing else. "I have only danced a small amount in the past, but I'm sure I could dance if you like, M'Lady." he said and offered her a low bow.

Fraise perked up as she heard a voice and giggled as she was offered the gift from her date. "Thank you it's beautiful Zoran!" She bounced up and down slightly before taking the carnation, smelling it for a moment before slipping the flower behind her ear. "Does it match? I think it does! It's so wonderful! Oh you look tired? Did you run here? Oh no that's not good! I saw some...Big fish tank I think was put in for your people...Come on I'll show you! It would make feel better! And then there is drinks and some food!" She gently grabbed his hand and started to tug him along, smiling and bouncing along with every step.

Lust blushed a little as she looked away when he kissed her hand "well then my good sir, would you care to share a waltz with me?" She asked as she curtsied to him "it may be a night I wish to remember but I also want you to have fun, I also remember why I did ask you, we are here, if for nothing else, but to build up your reputation and I promise we will do that but please, can we have some fun as well?" She asked, hoping he wouldn't mind.

Good.

The party has only just started.

A mysterious figure covered in a shroud of dark grey and purple mist enters through the large archway leading to the ballroom of Venus' Telrunya Temple. Slow and deliberate steps take the figure towards the large and very pink throne that Venus has had erected for herself.

Red orbs shine from behind the mist, scanning the room. The figure stopped in the middle of the room, knelt down and picked up the shining, golden apple with two small, delicate hands. Replacing the apple in the center of the room, carefully as if it's the most fragile item in the room, the figure seems to hesitate a moment before standing back up.

Gliding towards Venus, those same hands emerged from the shroud once more. As if wearing an actual cloak, the hands pushed the mist back, revealing the head of a purple-haired Pae'il goddess. "Venus, sweetheart. Another party? Did my invitation get lost in transit again?"

The shrouding mist dissipated, revealing Eris, Goddess of Discord, standing before Venus.

Kumori Waffuru

"Oh, right," he grumbled, turning towards the party again. Might as well get on with this then. Hopefully this would go better than the last time Kane had tried to attend a fancy ball. Ugh. At least the shrimp there had been good.

Though, he was having doubts about this buffet when the first thing he saw was a Faun in the pudding bowl. Really? And Pae accused him of having no manners.

He headed for the opposite end of the table, where instead of sweets, savory treats awaited the Pae'il guests.

Chuckling in response, K'anpo bowed, sweeping his arm out in a wide gesture towards the entrance. "Lead on, my friend. Show me this dear filly that I absolutely must meet." Strutting into the party, the pegasus cast his eyes over the room, spotting another of his kind to the left near the wall. He shot the other male a grin, though he didn't recognize him, gave him a quick two-fingered salute, then moved on without waiting for a response.

So many colorful men and women here tonight, in all manner of fancy dress. He had to admit, he was a bit impressed by what some of them had put together considering the trouble he and the Doctor had had in trying to find something in this primitive land to qualify as 'formal'. "Doctor, you don't suppose..." Blinking, he halted what he was about to say as a particularly colorful Faun at the buffet table just...shoved his head into a bowl of pudding.

He was silent for a moment, then turned to the Doctor with a puzzled expression. "I've just had the strangest craving for fish fingers and custard. You don't suppose they might have any?"

Lugh chuckled softly, patting her hand on his arm. "I imagine it would be. At least you don't have to worry about falling down when you're in the water. Well, you don't have to worry too much with me; I'm pretty out of practice myself when it comes to dancing." He smiled, just looking around at all the decorations, the other Pae, the food...uh, well, he's sure the rest of the food was still okay if you stayed away from the pudding.

Approached by a stranger, Moana was quick to check her composure before turning to face him. She took a moment, having never seen a Faun up-close like this before, then again, slid her composure back into place with a smile. "It's not right now, but I'm sure it will be," she answered with a polite curtsy. Okay, that was hard to do on land legs. She wobbled a bit, hurrying to straighten up. "Eek! Oh, I'm sorry, pardon me, sir," she apologized, blushing a bit. "I'm err...not used to...having legs and all..." well, if he hadn't figured out she was a Naiad by now...

Silvana raised an eyebrow at the boy's odd behavior. Read the signs, she thought, just like Mother taught you. Awkward stance, hesitation, shifting eyes, stating the obvious. Conclusion: typical teenage male greeting a female. She smiled a bit, thinking, she had to at least give him points then for having the courage to come speak to her first. She'd indulge him for a bit. Perhaps he might be more entertaining with time.

"Indeed," she nodded, glancing about before turning back to the odd angel. "I'd wondered if only adults would be attending tonight. How nice to see that I was wrong." She inclined her head, offering the other teen her hand. "Silvana. Might I ask your name, sir?"

Fun? He never really had fun before, at least her style of fun. His style was a bit more up tight that most, and usually revolving around fashion of some kind. But she pleaded and promised to do something for him so he figured he could so something for her. "If thats what you want. I agreed to be your date, not a wall flower." he said and took her hand and drew her closer into the stance to start a waltz. He stopped to eye the strange mist as it revealed itself into the form of a female, but since he still knew very little about the place, he focused his attention back on his date. People were just so strange in this new land. Fish people, strange ponies, and now mist people... "Shall we, Lust M'dear?"

Phaenna had been watching the guest flow in the room from a little way behind her mother, almost staying hidden. She knew mother liked these parties and needed them but she was so bad with mortals it was almost better she stayed out of sight...Until some other entered the room, purple mist and hair...Red eyes...Phaenna didn't like this. She gripped her spear tightly in her hands, going into defensive mode. She took a few steps out of her shadows but didn't dare get too close. She couldn't make it in time to stop her if this stranger made a move.

"Mother...."

Parvana giggles and blushes a little. "You're too kind," she says modestly. "Shall we dance?" She offers her hand.

What am I doing here? she wonders suddenly. I barely know him! What if things end up....poorly? She looks around. Everyone else seems to be having a wonderful time. And Aldis looked so genuinely happy to see her and to be with her. Perhaps something good would come of this. Perhaps nothing bad would happen. She shrugs off the feeling. They were right when they called you paranoid, she chides herself gently.  

[FA Venus]

Venus watched with interest as some thing floated through her ballroom towards her. She sat up to see what it was doing in the center of the room, and decided this was suspicious. She'd promised a good night, so she snapped her fingers, pointing to a few locations in the ballroom, and several little chubby cherub mellons zipped around discreetly, going to fetch their Erote charges. It couldn't be ...

The golden apple; however, confirmed it. She stood up, putting a hand on her hip and watched the reveal.

"Hello Eris. Why are you even here? I didn't lose your invitation, I didn't invite you."

Theron had been so absorbed by Leilani's beauty that he doesn't notice the hooded figure or the golden apple, until he almost dances over it. He feels its weight against his foot, and he stops and looks down. "Odd place for an apple," he muses, picking it up. "For the fairest," he reads aloud, then smiles. "Looks like it was fated for you, my love," he says, offering it to Leilani.

"Thank you" she said sincerely as she started walking out to the dance floor, stopping only to see a woman step out of the mist and stand there looking at her grandmother to see what she would do with this new comer. "I wonder who she is..." she said off handedly before she shook her head "sorry about that, my attention is meant to be on the handsome man in front of me' she said as she took took her stance and nodded "yes, I am ready" she said as she smiled at the other.
