She'd nearly become a scarling who'd just had her fresh fish taken away. When Levi saw the wrath demon coming down the aisle, she gradually began to perk a whole different variety of smile. More and more it grew with a widening flicker of her tail's end on the seat beside her. As if the smile alone wasn't enough of a clue to her anticipation at his greeting her, her tail flickering surely would have been visible hanging off in the aisle and batting at the seat as it wagged. They were riding on a bus.
He came, he saw, he sat in the seat behind Levi, smirking like his seat was better or something. Somehow West was trying to get smart-mouthed with her, she knew it. What'in tha'candy picking'- Her face was white as a ghost, now sporting a pout she didn't even know she was wearing. I was just savin'... savin' a seat. Urge to grab a horn and ram his head into the seat's back was rising. The next words out of her mouth might have been "Yew git yer butt inta'this seat 'er Jack help me-" but Levi realized this was not the way to beat West at his own game. Guess ya'll can just sit there if ya'ain't sittin' next ta'me. Contrary to her words, Levi's tail slithered off the seat and under her own where it coiled like a serpent. The seat beside her was now free.
Wasn't savin'it just fer yew 'er nothin'. Yes, she was. Levi looked out the window now as if she was waiting for something to happen. Perhaps a certain boil getting out of his current seat and sitting beside her? She had -saved a seat- for him. That was one of the key things about going on a bus, wasn't it? Well, yes, that and the actual transportation factor.

Someone... was using him as a chair. There were a handful of people he could name off the top of his head that would do that--well, possibly three or four, he decided, but this weight wasn't enough to be one of his guy pals being an a**--in fact--
Silver eyes opened, looking at the mermaid. "Since when was I your--never mind," he said, yawning. He slid out--tried to slide out from under her, only to wind up sitting with her on his lap. So, since they were in public, he picked her up and moved her to the seat next to him before looking around.
"Mornin' Riyo," he said to the ghoul petting the bus behind them. Was it morning? Hell if he knew. "You realize that hotwiring this sucker would be pretty much impossible, right?" Had he just--
Well it WAS Roch...

Something in his chest... clenched... as Levi's face fell. Jack damned feelings. West sighed and rose to a crouch, bracing his weight on the back of his intended seat, slipping back out into the aisle, and dropping next to the ghoul.
"I 'preciate y'savin' it, but y'know y'dun have to," he said under his breath. "If anyone else was sittin' there, I jus' woulda socked 'em in the jaw." His arm found its way around her without his permission, his hand barely touching her shoulders as he leaned in, intending to brush a kiss against her temple. At least he had been until he saw Jove. West yanked his arm back to his side and stared at the ghost until he disappeared into the seat in front of them. Jack damned feelings. Jack damned kids. The puppy and Xiu should start a creepy staring club.
Thankfully, the catbus lurched to life, lessening his embarrassment by the smallest of degrees. West raised a hand to his lips and coughed, boring a hole into the back of Jove's seat with his glare.

Levi's tail sneakily snaked its way into a tangle with West's as per her kin's variety of greeting to family unseen underneath the seats by their feet. Her fuzzy white ears stood on end when West wrapped an arm around her but the tatzel's body immediately relaxed when she realized what he was doing. Sure betcha'wud, kekeke~ Levi found herself gravitating towards West involuntarily, allowing him to do what it was he was aiming to.
Wait. No.
There were eyes watching them out of the corner of her eye, causing Levi too to take on a stern seated posture in surprise. Uhhhh-! Nothing to see here! We're just talking! Talking! Didn't see nothing! The tatzel ghoul was about ready to give the student a talking to regarding what they didn't see when she recognized the features of this ghostly peer of hers. Jove was a worthy opponent, but his silence and manner put Levi at ease, so she wasn't threatened- as if Jove were going to mock her for being a ghoulyghoulfriend or something with West just then. That would've set her into defense mode, demanding and threatening as required from sheer nervousness.
Coughing to correct herself, Levi offered the pup a smile and greeting before he wriggled into place in front of West and herself. Aye! Mornin', Jove!
Levi glanced at West as if to say that was too close. Wanted- but close. As the bus got moving, Levi's tail began to swing back and forth under them. First time on'a bus! Ain't it interestin'? Like ridin' on'a big ol' wagon with everybody in'it! She was practically bouncing in her seat, shoulder potentially rubbing West's in the process.

Yin had slipped into a seat in the middle of the bus, looking out the window for a while, mostly just keeping to himself. Across the aisle was a certain demon that he faintly knew, but he was not sure how to talk to him, and thankfully missed out on the displays of affection that were in public that would have horrified him. As it was, he really only looked over when he heard a cheerful voice that he recognized but barely, the ghoul who he had met when he had met Miss Xiu-Ying, but he really did not know her.
Then she brought up the subject of it being her first time and well, if he was going to get back in the swing of things and talk to people...here was a good chance. He scooted over to the edge of the seat, leaning forward a bit to see around West. "I...I do not mean to interrupt Miss, but this is my first time on a bus as well." He then dipped his head to the rather powerful boil next to him. "Greetings West."
Grey Dragon Since Yin is talking to the people Jove is talking(ish) to~

It took a while for his heart to stop its panicked pounding, but eventually West turned a faint grin on Levi and her boundless enthusiasm. He liked this, just sitting in a running catbus with his ghoulfriend, heading toward an adventure that probably wouldn't involve them dying. Probably. One never knew at Amityville.
"Interestin'. Yeah. Not how I woulda put it, but sure." West might have never been in a catbus before, but now that they were moving, the train they'd taken to Christmas Town seemed similar enough. He chuckled, folding his arms loosely across his chest as he looked past Levi and out the window.
When Yin spoke up, the demon's attention turned back to the aisle. He didn't know much at all about what had happened during the raid on the hunter's island, but he had been aware that the mantis had been one of the ones they had been there to save. The fact that he was back in Halloween and intact was good, right? It had been the only reason West had gone near those delusional humans at all. He nodded in return. "Good t'see you."

The bouncing continued until those bouncing ears picked up on another voice nearby through the jabbering of students nearby. It took Levi a moment, but she did know the boil's face and voice well enough. West seemed to know the were mantis as well, as he was first to greet the other boil. Levi knew about the capture of some students... Mitsu was one. Who they all were, Levi didn't know, so there was no connection for here there. This was just another casual meeting of the boil she'd happened upon with Xiu. Aye, Yin! Been 'while! Ready ta'wrestle with some critters? No, she didn't mean that literally... or did she?
Ain't never seen one like this, but buses been on skeeV n' all that. Just never got in'ta one. Git yer seat, holler outta tha'windows at folks- kekeke~ Levi physically turned toward the window, hands tinkering with the outline to see if there was some sort of a latch to open it.

At least West did not seem to mind him sitting there, and possibly interrupting his conversation. The ghoul beside him (what was her name again...) certainly did not seem disturbed by his interruption. Wrestle critters? Well...he was not up to his usual self but he could probably manage that. He nodded though, animals were different and those he could just attack with relative ease. He never even questioned that she might have no idea what she was talking about, why would she make things up?
Yin did not watch SkeeV either, so he was messing up basic Halloween knowledge again, and he paled slightly. People could think he was a hunter in disguise if he messed up basic information, it had happened before and it was possible it could happen again. "Oh yes, call out the windows at people. Right." He scooted over to the window, not really paying attention to if it was open or not and watched for a minute. There, there was someone. "I am on a bus!" He called out at them. There. Perfectly normal.
