After serving 2 tours of duty in the PDF, he was (dis)honorably discharged (amongst much cursing) for exposing fellow nobleman officer from house Ulanti as a wild psyker. He gave up short and unsuccesful attempt at being Guild enforcer after helping few women sold into slavery by their own husbands escape. Ever since that accident he choses his jobs carefully, usually going only after really notorious criminals. Fortunately the pay for those is so good he can afford to be picky.

Background/History:
Virune earned his nickname through a near super human ability to keep critically wounded guardsman alive even in dire circumstances. Serving on Cadia he proved again and again that when he told another soldier that they weren't dying on his watch, he meant it.

He recieved several commendations for bravery, and an equal number of punishments for ignoring direct orders so that he could save a wounded comrade. His guard career could have ended in shame or glory, but instead he recieved a letter from the Inquistion, 'requesting' his cooperation. With a few quiet goodbyes he entered the service of the Inquisition, deciding that it was better to meet his end fighting traitors or xenos than to die at the end of an assassin's blade.

Name: Arkady Van Sorincovff

Profession: Imperial Sanctioned Psyker.
Home-world/world you're currently on: Valhalla / ???
Background/History: Arkady was born on the frozen planet of Valhalla, within a few days of his birth his life was forever changed and guaranteed to never again be normal.
Arkady was a Psyker, the mutations in his blood discovered early on even though he developed no unusual powers. The small child was marked and the Black Ships contacted but
it would take several years until they arrived to pick up the young boy. The Valhallan's wanted little to do with the cursed child and exiled him to an abandoned wing of
a Imperial monastery, there he was looked after by a few of the monks that would stand to care for a psyker. Every day of his childhood involved him wandering the wing and listening
to the faithful monks chant and pray, Arkady heard the stories and might of the Emperor and he realized it was his duty to serve and die for the Imperium,He became zealous and completely faithful to the Emperor despite his young age and by the time the Black arks reached the frozen world Arkady was already twelve years old
and more than willing to be begin doing his part.
It would be another few years until the black ark made it back to the beacon of humanity, Terra to drop of its psychically active cargo and Arkady was placed in a restrained
cargo box to wait out the time with thousands of other psykers.
But Destiny intervened..
Somewhere amongst the massive ship there was a fault. perhaps after decades of service the ancient vessel had simply worn away, or perhaps the Emperor has a curel sense of
humor. Regardless of the reason, the cargo hold where Arkday and many other psykers were being held had its shields fail amidst a warp jump and the entire hold was
exposed to the cold dead grip of space. The event killed every human in the hold save one. Arkady. He lay there in the middle of the floor curled up ready to die, covered
in a thick layer of frost, his skin literally frozen to the cold steel floor, all around him were the rest of the human cargo, all frozen solid into macabre statues or
covering the floor in sub zero ash. When the shield was back online Arkady was recovered, shivering and frozen, but alive. He never stopped shivering since that day.
Somehow the event awakened his psychic powers, his hands and breath seemed to be endlessly cold his very aura was that of a pure cold, his limbs constantly suffered from
frostbite but he lived on, always cold but never slowed down by it in any way.
By the time the Black Ship reached Terra Arkday was a young teenage boy and as they dragged his shivering body out of the hold the Scholastia Psykana determined that his unusual
powers were cursed, he would be sacrificed to feed the Astronomican, his soul absorbed by the undying emperor and used to power the lighthouse of Terra.
Arkady faced death and welcomed it as an honor but destiny once again intervened. A Scholar amongst the Scholastia Psykana moved to have Arkady trained. Claiming that his unusual
powers had been harnessed in the past and proved to be potent agents of the Imperium. It was much debated but eventually the council caved and moved the young boy to be
tested and trained as a Sanctioned Imperial Psyker. The Following "training" consisted of endless torture by the interrogators to test his will and by the end of it
Arkady had gone pale white, lost all his hair and was covered in scars. His frozen powers progressed and although he was still constantly cold, he learned to freeze things
and manipulate the elements of cold to his advantage. Although he tested poorly with basic powers such as mind reading and divination, he excelled at other unusual powers
spirit communing and astral projecting were his other expertises. and he saw it as am honor to walk the same paths as the dead souls that served the emperor even if some
saw his powers as dark or necromantic.
After being tested and fitted with the proper equipment and implants for the final time, Arkady passed the Trails and received his Sanctions. He was assigned to his home-planets forces
and surprisingly returned to his home world to put down an uprising of orks. His ice powers proved effective even there, freezing the orks very souls in solid blocks of ice
and flaying their orkhide skin with bitter torrents of frost.
he served in a few other missions, assisting the Adeptus Astartes in vanquishing a Xenos threat, even defeating a Eldar Warlock in psychic battle.
When Psyker Sorincovff solved the mystery of the civil war of a small hive world and with the help of his fellow imperial guardsmen destroy the chaos worshiping heretics his
dossier was distributed within the Inquisition and before Arkady could even celebrate his accomplishments he was stored inside a cargo box and delivered to his new master.
Description: Arkady is a small frail man, the rigors of the warp has prevented his growth in standard human ways he is of small frame and quite tall, his skin is the
shade of bone with light hews of blue from the constant cold. his ice blue eyes seem to glow under certain lights and the hundreds of scars that mark his entire body
disfigure him in such a way that he can only be described as a psyker. he has no hair to speak of, every single hair has fallen off thanks to the Scholastia Psykana.
He usually wears an altered sanctioned psyker uniform. straight black with many additional restraints and straps. A large mechanical device is strapped to his side and is
completely portable, the device is directly linked to tiny machines implanted in his brain, they allow the user of the controller to either electrify, sedate or even kill
Arkady in the event of a demonic possession. He also wears a round metallic collar around his neck as a psychic hood
