I was in my second grade math class, it was like 10 am?

I was 6, I barely remember it but I was at my grandmas sitting in front of the tv watching firemen pull people out of the ruble, that's really all I remember about it. I didn't really understand it. R.I.P to all lives lost.

Funny, that's exactly what happened to me. I only learned it was a 'terrorist attack' about 4 years later, when the teacher started cramming it down our throats that we absolutely have to stop everything we're doing until the end of time. I have no problem honoring the ones who died in the attack, I do have a problem with teachers and people I don't know telling me I literally have to stop moving forwards with my life just because of it.


On a note to myself: This is usually a topic I avoid.

i dont know where i was when it happened.i was about 5 years old when the towers got hit.and in honor of the people who lost and risked there lives on this day i did my avi up in honor and to remember the loved ones we lost on this day

I was shopping, and stopped at the bank on the way home, and that's when I heard about it. The whole day ended up having a sort of surreal quality as Nana and I stayed glued (figuratively) to the television.

Exactly when it happened? I was asleep, and five years old. We were on our way to school, and we were running a little late. We had daily "assemblies" in which everyone stood out in front of the flag pole and while the principal talked for a few minutes. He said something terrible had happened, but that we were safe all the way over here in Caifornia. He said a lot of people died, and that we were very sad for them. We raised the flag at half mast, and said the Pledge of Alligence. For the rest of the day, everyone was quiet in my first grade class room. It took me a few years before I learned that a granda I never met died in the twin towers.

I was sitting in a sixth-grade classroom. My teacher had the news turned on like she did every day at that time. We turned it on just in time to see the second plane crash through. Everyone was so sad and so scared that the news was on for the rest of the day. It felt like the ground had fallen away from the earth. It was so horrible. They sent us home early that day because so many parents were coming to get their kids from school.
