The only good thing about the LoB days was that most people playing it thought it was played like pegasus island and never bothered to read the rulebooks.
Deck full up Blue/Red Eyes and Summoned Skulls? ******** yes!

Mustard Like Soup shrab i miss those days sad back then regardless of what deck someone had you had a chance to win because every deck wasnt either complete crap or the best thing ever. it was pretty damn equal. Not true, at all. Back then, the meta was much much more constricted than it is now. all remember as far as their being a meta was their were staples and if they werent there your were gunna get raped lol

TwinHeart Blue eyes sucks. Red eyes suck. Dark Magician sucks. Without them the game would be nothing. Most people sought after them back in the day. They are perfect Faces of Yugioh!

lol yup. only reason blue eyes is my favorite of those three is because kaiba is my favorite character in the anime. and his level of badass translates into blue eyes being badass

Labyrinthknight7 Yusaru Gravitational Molestation I will just take solace in the fact that you're wrong. Oy...I pity you...I pity you dude. Even running today's meta, you ABSOLUTELY have to know how it works, or you'll definitely lose. GM is absolutely right. The decks back then didn't require skill at all. You pack your deck with raigeki, harpie's feather duster, monster reborn, some powerful-at-the-time flip effect monsters, pot of greed, etc. Those decks were DEFINITION cookie-cutter. Anyone could make them and win. Modern decks now, you have THOUSANDS of cards to choose from. For amateurs, they HAVE to get better to understand all of the terms not around back then. there was no spell speed 3, no nomi until metal raiders, no useful fusions or rituals, and definitely NO ARCHTYPE SELECTION. I will oppose you and everything you stand for by saying "old decks were harder to use". Based on what? you could fight and win without tribute monsters in that time, so difficulty in summoning high level monsters could be entirely non-issue. Having Skill requires the knowledge of the rules and meta, but knowing the rules and meta doesn't require skill... It just shows you have a good head on your shoulders.
As I said before...I love the new cards. They are freaking awesome.. I don't know how we made it this far with out Synchros, and the Exceeds will probably be no different. I just wish people would be more original instead of every other person using a deck that they didn't think of.
And for the record. I don't pity GM for the mere fact that I disagree with her. That's absolutely no reason for pity.

I apologize for any offense taken by anything I've said.
I respect all of your opinions, but keep in mind, they're just opinions. no reason to fight and argue over something that took place so long ago. This topic was meant to bring back memories. NOT to start a war.
Thank you.

Gravitational Molestation SOLIDNSNAKE Gravitational Molestation SOLIDNSNAKE ehh i find it to be nice, back in the day i loved it (still do hence why i have like 40 of them lol) but im aware now compared to things with effects and stuff BEWD is essentially garbage. but back in the day it was a big deal. sure effects still existed which could mess it up but not like now when EVERYTHING has an effect. Uh, no it wasn't a big deal. It was horrible. 3 Man Eater Bug 3 Hane Hane 3 Fissure 3 Dark Hole 3 Raigeki 3 Soul Exchange 3 Trap Hole 3 Wall of Illusion 3 Change of Heart 3 Monster Reborn And that's just from the first set and starters. Blue Eyes White Dragon was horrid. Get over it. By the way, future reference, first limitation list: http://yugioh.wikia.com/wiki/May_2002_Lists yea sadly card effects do do that. still awesome though. No, it wasn't. What don't you understand about this? Blue Eyes, was, terrible. It was an auto minus one. That's, it. I understand it doesnt have anything going for it, but i still find it to be awesome, statistically it is terrible, but back in the day it was amazing. but it being minus one, thats kinda the point of a big scary anything. you have to sacrifice alot for something powerful.

Thank you. Derp, opinions can be backed up by fact. Opposing opinions are backed up with fact, theory, and hypotheticals in discussion. I have done this, you have not. There is no "agree to disagree" going to happen here. I will gladly continue this with others if you choose to retreat and not support your opinion. Point being, there was no skill back in those days. SOLIDNSNAKE I understand it doesnt have anything going for it, but i still find it to be awesome, statistically it is terrible, but back in the day it was amazing. but it being minus one, thats kinda the point of a big scary anything. you have to sacrifice alot for something powerful. You're kidding me. Right? Please? No, it's you, definitely not. At first I started reading and figured, "Oh, my bad, he was just saying he loves Blue Eyes, well I'm just an a** for continuing then." THEN, THEN you had to add the bolded. No! It wasn't! How many times do I have to repeat this? It was horrible for all the reasons I've stated. Listen, we can make decks based on the 2002 limitations list and duel if you want. Your use of Blue Eyes will be your undoing and I won't lose a single game to Blue Eyes.

For those of you who are saying back in the day was good, obviously never played at a single tournament back in the day. I did once, got raped so hard because i only had 1 raigeki, dark hole etc., and decided to wait for a better, more balanced format.
