Broken Pieces of the Past (starting)

After realizing that he was probably at the bus stop already, she walked down there, glancing over her shoulder this time to make sure no one was coming up from behind her. Shaking her head, she smiled when she saw him.

Smiling back at her, he noticed the bus come into view. Paying for the tickets, he took his seat, eger to get to the beach.

"I'll pay next time." she said when he had paid for the tickets once again. She didn't want him to pay for everything and she hated taking money from people for any reason. Sitting down next to him, it wasn't too long before the bus stopped again and she got off. Smiling, she started walking towards the beach, looking over her shoulder for the second time.

"All right." When he got off, he noticed the beach was pretty vacant. Aside from them, only a few people were here. Setting his white towel down, he pulled put some sunscreen; his skin was rather sensitive to sunburn. "Do you want some?"

She shaked her head when he offered the sunscreen. "I'm fine." she looked around the beach, noticing that not a whole lot of people were there. Biting her lip, she set the bag she had brought down before pulling her shirt off and putting it into the bag. It was warm out, perfect for swimming.

Noticing her shirt getting taken off, he decided to change. He took of his shirt to reveal a skinny body, His muscle wasn't well defined, but it was noticeable. After he was done changing, he walked into the water. It was cold, bt not freezing. "The water's fine."

After she finished taking off her shorts, she shoved it all into the bag. Walking up to the water, she stuck her feet in it before going in further. A wave came up and ended up splashing her completely. Laughing a little, she swam out further, going with the water. Her eyes searched for him before she saw him, her eyes lingered their for a few moments before she called him over.

He was doing a dead man's float, enjoying the cool water. It seemed to cool off his head and body. Noticing her eyes stare at him, he st=ared into hers. Hearing her call him, he swam up to her, trying not to stare at her...body. "Y-Yes, Marie?

Turning to the left, there was a huge rock out in the ocean, she had jumped off of it several times. "Want to jump?" she asked, as she wrapped one of her arms around his shoulders, pointing at the rock since she was next to him now. Of course she was aware of how close to him she was, but she didn't think he would mind.. at least she hoped that.

At first, he had no idea what she was pointing at, until she got closer. He also noticed how close she was to him, but he didn't mind. However, he did turn slightly red, which he would claim it's sunburn. "Yeah, I'd like to jump off that." He moved, and began to swim there.

Smiling, she started swimming in that directions. Marie had noticed him blush but didn't say anything about it since he would probably come up with some excuse. Reaching the rock, she waited for him before going up.

When he caught up about 10 seconds later, he got top of the rock. It was quite a few feet high, and it offered a nice view around them. "You can go first", he said, trying to see what thing he could add to make the jump good-painful, but good.

"Chicken." she teased him lightly, just playing around before she leaped from the rock, shooting like an arrow into the water. Just to mess with him, she had gotten a mouthful of air before she had landed in the water and now she wasn't coming up.

"I'm not..." He couldn't finish as she jumped before him. He noticed that she wasn't coming up, so he jumped in as a cannon ball. Grabbing her and poking her in the cheek, he asked if she was ok.

Well he didn't freak out and he didn't yell at her, which was good. Marie nodded her head and looked at him before looking down at the water. Now that she really thought about it.. she liked him.. she had liked for a long time just she always pushed those thoughts away. Swallowing, her eyes returned to his own and her lips parted slightly. She didn't know how to say it.. and if she acted on her thoughts..but she didn't know how in the world he would react. Looking up at the sky, she suddenly dived back down into the water, swimming down under him and then past him.
