Shan didn't really leave once the master left the study. Instead, he picked up a nearby book and began to read it. He was sure that whatever he was doing was wrong, but shouldn't everyone at least have a right to read?
Slowly, and quietly, he sat down on a nearby chair, which happened to be the master's chair, but he didn't pay much mind to it. He was so engulfed in the book. Coincidentally, the book was about a slave, but his owner was a kind person. It was actually hard to believe, but there had to be at least one kind slave owner in the world, right?
