the problem with out society is that we view sex as worse then murder...aparently...Though I don't undertsant why. movies with graphic violence tend to be in the pg13-R category while movies with graphic sex are always nc17. makes no sense to me. its be fun to take the word kill in old movie cliches and replace it with ******** sherif, we're gonna ******** you now."
"mad ******** on the loose."
"stop me before I ******** again..."

sex is sex I'm a "normal" 21 year-old person, I frist wached porn at 4, and one of my frends houses, we talked to his brother and dad about it and I learned about sex I started from there, I did not lose my verginity untill i was 19. And I was in a loveing realtion ship with a guy I loved. I dont think that Shealding children form sex, makes them less sexual it just makes them more Ignorant to to sex, and how to protect them self. Like I tell the guys I sleep with If you arnt gonna wrap it up, just FORGET IT.

Why must people see it as a 'bad/immoral' thing? Personally i see nothing wrong with it. Its always censored on tv and people talk quietly about it. I mean when you really think about it, theres nothing wrong with it at all. In my opinion i think people should be introduced to it at a younger age and shouldnt be taught to keep quiet about it. Some people wind up supressing it and when it actually does come up in real life they get nervous or feel ashamed or something like that. Thoughts? Opinions? Input?

wee when you brg about how many you've ********, and how much porn you have then it becomes a problem, and yes I do know people like this

As far as the sex education thing. I am 15 years old in the 10th grade and I've learned 90% of what I know now from friends and fanfiction.

In my family sex is a forbidden and inappropriate topic that is never to be discussed.
In 5th grade I saw "The Movie" but other than that I haven't had any other sex education. The school I go to is a small charter school that most of the sex ed is "Just don't do it".

Luckily I have well informed friend and I'm a lesbian otherwise I would be in alot of trouble. xd

I believe the censorship is for good reason:

The human body is something to be respected - both male and female. Whenever the artists of the renaissance depicted nude people, it was always in a way to show divinity or power.
However, in a society that largely treats both sexes as vulgar images, censorship helps to prevent that vulgarity.

I Am Very Open About Sex!!... people Are always shocked when They Hear some of the things that come out of my mouth, because I'm so shy and They Think I'm So innocent! hahahah!!...

But I'm very open about it, And I get a lot of questions from friends and stuff because I'm gay, and they don't understand some things about homosexuality, so I Tell them They can Ask me anything and everything anytime, Because I have no problem discussing it!

I personally think that the roots of the discrimination of sex go as far back as the birth of christianity, and one of the 7 deadly sins being "Lust", thusly pregidicing sex as far as it is today.

I think sex is something that is wrongfully discriminated against, and feared. The so called "Innocence" of children is also wrong. I think that by age 7 children should know what sex is, for better or for worse. I know that because I didn't know about it, I ended up doing things I would rather not reminisce upon.

The thing about sex, and the reason that it is thought about has come from the way we have discovered it. In secret, and in private. It's a never-ending spiral, that I think is just part of our culture. I think sex is a wonderful thing, and immensely pleasing, so I don't see why the persuit of it is anything bad. Hell, even the American Constitution includes the "Persuit of Happiness" as a mandatory human right, and I think that sex is the pinnacle of at least momentery happiness.

That's my views on the subject at least.

I think sex shouldn't be wrapped up and locked away. Children are going to find out about (TV, radio, etc) My mum is quite open about it (no contact with my father thankfully) I know if I have a problem or question I can ask her or my sister. My friends and I talk about openly as it's as important as politics, religion, etc. There's nothing wrong with it as long as you are careful. I believe that sex isn't dirty. I believe that two consenting mature people having sex isn't going to ruin anyone's life. Quite a few of my mates are still virgins, some are older, younger or the same age as me. But some people are shocked when I say I'm 18 and that I'm still a virgin wink

Admittedly I am no longer sexually active but I'm not repulsed or embarrassed by it either, and I don't understand how anybody could be. neutral It should be talked about frankly and openly, seeing as it's what humans are designed to do. That to me makes about as much sense as abstinence education. There's no point in hiding sex from humans or telling us not to do it, most of us will eventually have it anyway. You may as well talk about it to save the trouble.
I was never given the talk by anybody in my family, I had to learn myself. I'm still safe and healthy but that was a very dangerous situation in my opinion. The young should know about that sort of thing shortly before puberty really kicks in.

Well, I agree that there is nothing wrong with having sex with someone you love and care about. But I also think that it's wrong to have sex with someone just because you want fun and to have a 'good time.' Sex should be something that two people do because they love each other. I'm sad to think that society has come to the point that sex can be had at any time with anyone and everyone you want. I don't think you should be embarrassed about having sex, but you shouldn't go out and do it every night with random people that you don't really love. Now, about sex being taught to young children. That is okay as long as it's taught the right way. If it's taught so that they know that you should be safe and do it with someone you love, then that's okay. But if they think that you can do it all the time, any time, then I think that's wrong. But these are just my opinions, and you are all free to think whatever you want.

I agree with you, sex has become almost like an immature thing to look at. If it wasn't for shool I would have never learned about sex because my parents were afraid to tell me because they thought it was a terrible thing to talk about. I have had many a girlfriend who were ashamed of their beautiful bodies because of the sex disscussions she has with her parents. This must come to end starting with us. We must let people know that sex is beautiful and human nudity is beautiful and if they can't accept it they should move to another country. As for teaching it at a younger age, not sure about that because of the way children learn, they wouldn't comprhend what they were seeing if it was before 9 years of age. Although, with women getting into puberty earlier they may want to start a program for girls to to explain it and then later the guys, since they seperate genders anyway.

My parents were open and honest about sex with me when I was a kid. If I had a question about it, it got answered.

That's all parents have to do.

Agreed.

My parents told me anything I asked honestly and openly. They also told me: "don't do drugs, don't drink outside of the house, and God forbid, if you get pregnant before you graduate from college you're gonna wish you never found out about sex to begin with."

I think it's a very valid threat. 3nodding

I truly beleive sex should remain somewhat of a forbiden subject to expose children to. I mean, It's really becomming a problem among the younger folk. Why, just the other day, I was watching the news and they had descovered two fourth graders getting it on in the coat closet!!! burning_eyes I'm sorry, but that's just not normal!!! I mean, how lod are they??? eleven??? twelve?????? Most likely the girl hasn't even hit puberty yet!!
