A white elephant party is another name for a chinese gift exchange. You each bring a wrapped gift under a certain price range (either real or a gag gift), and then put them all in a pile. Then you pick numbers, and one by one people go up and pick a present and unwrap it. Now, after the first person has gone, you may either go pick a wrapped present or take someone else's present, and then they have to either take one from the pile or take someone else's. There's a limit of 3 times that items can change hands, then they're "grounded", they can't be stolen again.

Easy in person, hard on the internet. And I don't know how it would work, but it's always a fun Christmas party thing. ^_^

Doesn't the person who draws the 1 get to go last too?

I have some Ideas!

(1) Christmas Plushies- We should Bring Old plushies back, but christmasize them! Like Gwee the dragon, He should have a santa hat and be green and red!

(2) Have Christmas Event Clothes (Like I went to the Christmas Event and All I got was this lousy teeshirt!)

(3) Have Limited Edition Christmas Event Goers only special Items like Christmas Skin, or Hair!

srry to butt in, but... i had an idea.

first of all i was wondering how many ppl r in this guild?

here's the idea: if someone has the name of all the guild members. they could send each member a pm w/ the name of another member. that person has to buy the other person a gift within a certain price range.

kind of like a gift exchange. probably easier said than done. but it's just an idea.

or maybe ppl who want to participate could sign up somewhere...

We could come up with a game like a christmas game.
We could also do some type of donating thing for the poorer people on gaia.
We should still have the secret santa because that's a good one and i think it's pretty popular.

well... i think the price range could be around 3 or 4k. but maybe less. anyone wishing to participate could sign up in a forum, that can be set up. i'm not quite sure how we can mix up the names. but if we could, then we could send everyone a pm w/ the name of the person they must give a gift to. they gift should be sent around christmas so maybe dec 20 or so. i think about this some more. if anyone has any ideas to add on feel free.

and i would host the event, but i don't know how. so if u could fill me in, it would be much appriciated!

It would just be for a few hours. You just make sure everything is going smoothly and that the threads are active. You help anyone that needs help and ban people that are causing trouble.

Ok so here's what I thought of during my lunch break.

We could sell fortunes around the new years, like they do at shrines in Japan.
And sell charms for various things. And we could sell Wish Tags that they put up on a tree.

~Scavenger hunt - leave clues and riddles all over Gaia.
