Hiquel looked himself over, "Oh I had forgotten I had been hit, I've been so busy..." He smiles at Anna, bowing slightly to hide his grimace from seeing her the welt from her father. "Where will you be going this evening Princess?" He may have been tired but he still had to do his job, sleep, and visiting the castle blacksmith, could wait. From her demeanor, she needs to do something to relax anyway.  

[Queen Historia]

"Nowhere really...it seems that we are leaving first thing in the morning. Father told me to tell you that you're escorting me to Donnovan..." She sighed softly then looked down. "I was upstairs packing. There's no way out of it I guess..." She wiped her eyes again. Trying her best not to cry. Its not like she was some weak girl. She gave a soft smile. "The travelling is a good two weeks. And once I'm there I suppose we'll be parting ways...As much as I don't want to leave you behind.

"I see..." He decided what he should do with all of the information he had gathered thus far, "Princess, would you mind accompanying me for a walk around the grounds?"  

[Queen Historia]

She looked at him and smiled. "No of course not," she admitted a bit blushingly. She gathered up her skirts and then stood by his side. "If it will get me out of here then I do not mind at all," she said simply.

He smiled at her wearily, opened the door to the grounds, and gestured for her to lead the way.

"Do you want to talk about something inparticular?" she asked once they were outside and she'd led him to the courtyard. There was a hint of sunlight left, casting a pink shade over the grass and sky.

He steeled himself to tell her what he had found out from the would be abductor, "Princess, I don't think you should go to Donnovan."  

[Queen Historia]

"I don't have a choice..." she sighed. "Why do you say so? I already know that he is rather cruel but what other choice do I have. I'm the peace treaty remember?" she asked on a sigh then closed her eyes. "Is there something else?"

Hiquel looks at the sun "I don't think he has peace in mind. Apparently there is a dooms day prophecy about a child born a one who is corrupted to the core, and another who is as pure in heart as can be, the child is supposed to bring endless suffering. I think you match with him will bring about this evil." He shakes his head, "This sounds ridiculous I know."  

[Queen Historia]

She closed her eyes. "It doesn't sound crazy...my mother used to tell me that story...I don't think its ridiculous...In fact...I wouldn't doubt it," she mused softly. "But it is a lose lose situation where I am concerned. If I don't marry him then he will call a breach of contract and take my father's lands...and if I do marry him and this...this prophecy comes true then I'll be bringing a child of ill into the world...I can't win either way. I have to marry him Hiquel. Perhaps the prophecy isn't meant for me..." She swallowed.

He shook hi head "Princess, Annaliese, I don't know anyone that is more pure, and I grew up with monks... what if your father were to marry you to someone with more power? Do you think Donnovan would call off the war?"  

[Queen Historia]

"No...I'm stuck between a rock and a hard place. If the prophecy is true then Donnovan wouldn't call off war. He'd want to press down on my father till he got me...and my father won't budge on the matter of me marrying him. I'm only a girl, a pawn...I have no say in my life no matter what I want...that's the problem with being a girl in times like this. We can't do a blessed thing without some man telling us whether we can or can't. I can only accept it Hiquel. As much as I hate the thought of him touching and taking me to his bed I can't help it. Even if I'm beaten bloody every day in his presence, I have...absolutely...no choice."

Hiquel sighed heavily, "There is always a choice, it is just not always clear to us what it may be, would you like me to think of something while we travel?"  

[Queen Historia]

She looked at him and raised a brow. "I don't know...if you can find a way to get Donnovan happy and not destroy my father's kingdom then I suppose I can condone it..." She trailed off then sank down on a stone bench next a fountain and covered her face. "Regardless we are having to leave for the man tomorrow."

"And I will have two weeks to think and plan..." His voice trailed off as the sun finally dropped. "I am sorry, You should not have to speak of this when..." his voice trailed off again.
