The Official MapleGlobal service will be open for the public on May 26 at 11AM GMT (7AM Eastern Standard Time). New users will be able to explore the Maple World, embark on adventures, and participate in various events.

We hope our existing beta users have enjoyed the Preview Session. With the opening of MapleGlobal, the Preview Session will come to an end. There will be many more exiting events and additions to the game in the coming future, so don't worry!

Again, we thank our users for all their interest and support.

Note:
1. Yes, it's still free-to-play!
2. For account security, all accounts must be verified with an emailed verification code post sign-up and after any account edits. Users cannot enter the game world without verifying their accounts.
3. The Cash Shop is not ready but we are preparing for launch later this summer.
4. A new World will be added to accommodate new users.

Well, as many of you know, everything is up now. Bera had two bugs earlier but is now fixed. The bug made it so your use tab would get filled with tons of awesome items and the other made two crimson balrogs appear. Luckily, these are both now fixed.

Dear Bera World Players,



It has come to our attention that the effects of the bera item bug require further attention.

We have already deleted all consume items and will now have to reset the Meso level.

As consolation, we will set everyone?s meso count at 10,000 mesos.

To make this adjustment, we will host a server check for the BERA world at 4:50 AM EST (9:50 am GMT) on Friday, May 27, 2005 for 30 minutes.

We apologize for this inconvenience and sincerely appreciate your understanding.

Thank you for your support in testing our Singapore / Malaysia / Thailand service. The Official Singapore / Malaysia / Thailand Service is now licensed and operated by one of South East Asia's top online game operators, Asiasoft, on www.MapleSea.com. Unfortunately, upon much deliberation, we have decided that we can no longer service the beta of MapleGlobal East. There are not enough users in Beta East to maintain a test and we only need one test server for global. Wizet will make the West Beta the official test server for MapleGlobal, the official service operated by Wizet. MapleSea will not have a test server. The Singapore / Malaysian / Thailand market is now a local market operated by Asiasoft and we request that you please join the MapleSea community. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience that this may cause you but we can no longer service the Singapore / Malaysia /Thailand market.


The Beta East servers will be permanently shutdown at 8AM GMT <5PM KST> on Tuesday, May 30, 2005.

It`s summertime (yes, wintertime in Australia), and we have prepared many exciting events for users in both Worlds.
Here's a list of events that will take place in June and July.

June 17 to July 1: 2X Meso and item drop rates (BERA ONLY)
June 17: Release of all level 60 items (SCANIA and BERA)
July 1 to July 3: Level 30+ quest event (BERA ONLY) NEW USERS PLAY HARD!!!
July 1: Release of Summer Item Set 1 [ 3 Tubes ] (SCANIA and BERA)
July 15: Release of Summer Item Set 2 [ Surf Board and 2 Tubes ] (SCANIA and BERA)
July: GM Events

Some of the events are only for Bera as we want to encourage new users to create characters on the new server.
We will post the details of GM Events: they consist of games that multiple users can join and test their skills.

I don't know if I'm allowed to post this, but...

At the time of this posting, Channel One of Scania is almost completely full. This seems to be affecting all channels, and there is a major amount of lag. I almost got killed a few times because of this. It will ake around five seconds to even get an item after you pick it up, then it will fly to you. In that time period, you are completely unable to attack, atleast normally.When you press Ctrl, it will take a while to respond. This can be dangerous. Bera, on the other hand, is completely fine. It could be hazardous to go on any channel of Scania. Right now, Channel 12 has the least number of people. If you are crazy enough to go to Channel 1, then be prepared to spend multiple minutes just trying to get across a map...

If need be, this can be deleted. I just don't know if it's something important enough for the announcements.

First of all, we would like to thank all testers for their continued support and interest. There have been lots of questions about the Beta Test recently, and here is some information that might clear things up.

The Beta Test is NOT going to shut down. As we have mentioned before, it will serve as a test server where we can test our future updates for the Official MapleGlobal.

The number of channels has reduced to 2, and that is because we simply do not need more. The number of players playing in Beta has drastically reduced after the launch of Official MapleGlobal, and two channels will be more than enough to support the remaining testers.

PLEASE KEEP IN MIND THIS IS A BETA TEST. The service might be laggy or unstable because we will be constantly making minor updates and changes. Users should NOT expect the Beta to have the customer support or the level of maintenance that Official MapleGlobal has.

If you wish to keep a permanent account, we suggest you create an account on Official MapleGlobal. In Beta, due to the nature of the tests, there may be character resets and other drastic changes. However, there will be EXP bonuses and drop rate bonuses so that you can quickly test the advance level maps. You will privy to test out the new maps and updates on the Beta Server, but testers should not expect the beta servers to hold events or operate a cash shop. Think of the Beta Server as a preview server.

Again, we greatly appreciate your help in testing out Beta MapleGlobal. Please be reminded that this is a `Beta` test and NOT an equal, separate World. Thank you very much and we hope to make MapleStory better with your help.

A patch was added yesterday and two earlier today. Level 60 items should now be released.

Dear Users,

We apologize that the Bera character creation was not working over this past weekend. We understand that this has probably set you back and made it more difficult for you to reach level 30 in the time to participate in our level 30 event scheduled for next week.

Instead of extending the length of the event, we have decided to institute a 2x Exp event for Bera to make up for the lost time. This 2x Exp bonus will only apply to characters created AFTER the past weekend (basically, for those players who could not access the Bera server over the past weekend). We hope this can bring you back on track on Bera =)

The event will begin around 8:00 AM (GMT) on Friday, June 24, 2005 and will end around 12:00 AM (GMT) on Monday, June 27, 2005.
