Becoming Chloe ((TeHsChNoZbErRy))

"Come with you?" Chloe asked, cocking her head. "Go with your where?!" She asked, her expression even more confused.

"Anywhere," he replied, "To the other side of the country, down the coast," he told her. "Road trip?"

"Why?" Chloe asked, sitting down in the grass and peering up at him. "I don't particularly want to meet cruel people all over the country... People in this world are cruel, insensitive people." She grumbled. "They're horrible... why would I want to travel and meet so many more?"

He placed his hands on her shoulders, looking into her eyes. "It'll just be you and me, there doesn't need to be anyone else."  

[DncStar]

"But there will be other people. Where ever we go. There's people. Stupid idiotic people who kill others, think of suicide, hate, abuse, and everything of that sort... I have lost all faith and respect for the human race." Chloe stated. "I don't truly believe in good anymore."

He knelt down in front of her, "I have a cottage in the mountains," he said, "Away from everyone, everything. I'll take you there."

Chloe tapped her chin thoughtfully. "Maybe. But I do have a job. That I love... It'd be hard to just up and go... I mean how would I pay for things?" She asked, peering at him.

"I'll pay for it," he replied, "All of it, I'll explain it to your boss, but I want you to come with me."  

[DncStar]

"But..." Chloe began to say. "I hardly know you... How do I know that you won't take me out there and rape then murder me?" She asked softly, her eyes facing down.

"If I wanted to do that, I would've done it the moment we arrived here." he said, looking at her.

Chloe laughed and smirked. "I suppose thats true. But you could be buttering me up. Earning my trust." She shrugged. "But I guess if I'm murdered I can be with my family..." She sighed and then nodded. "Sure. I'll tell my boss... I haven't taken a vacation in the 6 years I've worked there... I'm sure they won't mind"

He smiled, kissing her head, "Okay. You want me to drive you home now?"

Chloe nodded. "Sure." She said, getting to her feet and starting towards the car. "When are we going?" She asked as she slipped into the car.

"The day after tomorrow?" he suggested, getting into the car.  

[DncStar]

Chloe shrugged, "Why not?" She smiled a bit but in her mind, all the wheels were turning. She was nervous to be going off with a boy she hardly knew. She chewed on her lip as they drove to her apartment and she climbed out of her car and waved good bye.
