"I come from a long line of high-ranked vampires, Tys. Calling a demon to do my dirty work would get me killed. And make my mother hate me for the rest of eternity. Thanks, but no thanks. Though, if I had a choice between you killing someone or partnering up with me, I'd take the partnership. Less of a headache on my part." Jade looked to Tys and flashed him a small smile, her normal personality showing through a little. She shoved aside a large bush and sighed gratefully when her feet met a worn path, the sounds of the city not far off now. Her smile grew some as she held the bush back for Tys to get through. "We're close now, thank god. You're probably starving by now, huh? The diner I know of has good food, and it's pretty cheap if you're on a budget."

"With all due respect general, Foreigners in our territory, specifically one of entire demonic heritage, and a mix of vampire and demon, is considered to be a threat by head office, and should be delt with in an appropriate manner. What I did was not exploitation, what I did was follow the protocols set out by our mutual bosses to deal with a foreign presence on our soil. I would strongly advice to you sir, that you keep this in mind should more of these... mongrels and half breeds... show up under your nose." There was a slight note of disgust in Oliver's voice when referencing the other species of the planet. Yes, he'd bed their women while out on assignment, but it was more out of insult to the woman's heritage than anything. The Siberian wolf nodded to his men, and they were back off on their way to HQ.

"YOU'RE territory sir?" Toby called after them. He was pissed. A snarl ripped through his chest. He burst into a wolf, scraps of his clothes flying all around him. Generally, he was able to stop his clothes from tearing, except in periods of extreme anger he slipped up...like now. "Her scent was here long before I showed up!" he howled. Two of his brothers came to his sides, one on each flank, the other stood a few feet behind him. They were all crouched low and growling.

Tys just ducked through the bush. "No I'm fine. Really." He smiled slightly and his stomach growled. "Oops. Guess I'm not fine." He smiled sheepishly. "I think I've got a fifty somewhere..." He began digging around in his jacket pockets.

Jade watched Tys dig through his pockets with an eyebrow cocked at him and her arms crossed over her chest. She sighed after a few minutes and turned, beckoning him to follow with a hand. "I need some food, too, so you can add whatever you get to my tab. And don't turn this down. Last nice thing you'll get from me. Probably ever." She turned to make sure he was following her and cracked a small smile. Her last statement was more than likely a lie, seeing as he'd be in town for a while, and they'd bump into each other at some point again.

Tys just pulled his hands out and gripped his items tightly. "I guess I can't turn down a final act of kindness." He winked and made a small smile back. "Besides I can pay back later."

"Later. For now, though, let's just get some food. I'm a growing halfie, you know." Jade lead the way through town until both of them stood before a tiny diner, the old neon lights above it broken to the point only two letters were left standing. Jade tapped on the glass and waved at someone inside before holding the door open for Tys to step in first. "Everyone comes here. You'll be welcome no matter what. Just don't ever take the advice of the waitress and order the special. They think it's a hilarious joke to play on newbies around here."

Tys frowned slightly. "Joke? I don't really care what I get, I just need meat. That's what we eat, y'know." He laughed slightly as he stepped in. "Nice place... Kinda small but that adds to the homey feel." He shifted nervously and made notes of every possible exits and places where he could make another one.

"Don't remind me. I am half demon. Have a seat, Tys. No one's gonna kill you here." Jade followed after Tys and nimbly vaulted her small body and guitar over the back of a booth to take a seat. She motioned for Tys to sit across from her and placed her elbows on the table. "So tell me, mysterious musician, is there a reason you're int his town? Or are ya just passing through?"

Tys sat carefully, making sure to keep his things close. "Mysterious musician? I wouldn't exactly call myself that. I'm just going where I might find the money. I've been all over and as far as I can tell the humans pay at least twice what demons do, and most other races try to kill me. I might stick around here for awhile as long as it doesn't get nasty." He offered a small smile. "If you ever want to hear me play I do street corners for now."

"Play at the park, or close to the mall. Those are the places I go and everyone who passes has money to give. Just be careful, though. Some people aren't too happy about random musicians asking for whatever change they can get." Jade set her guitar beside her and leaned back in her seat, stretching her arms up above her head with a satisfied sigh. She turned to look out the window and pulled a face when she spotted a blue-haired woman outside, arms crossed over her chest and a cross look on her face. Behind the woman, large wings spread out behind her and twitched with her irritation, the tiny smirk on her lovely face almost amused as she stared at Jade. Jade raised her hands in surrender then turned back to Tys, ignoring the angel outside as best as possible. "Don't piss her off, either. Know what you wanna eat yet?"

Tys let his wander over to the person outside. "Great angels. This town has everything. Those where the one's who tried to kill me the worst. All kinds of weapons blazing... As far as food... I dunno, some sort of beef?" He made an extreme look of concentration. "I've never ordered food from someone else before, so I'm not sure what to get..." He smiled slightly as he tried, and failed, not to look embarrassed.

"Sara won't hurt you too much. She's not a fighter. As for the food hting, just order whatever you see that looks good. There aren't any menus left due to a very weird break-in a few weeks ago, but the regulars always get the best food when they come in." Jade craned her neck to look around the diner and smiled when she saw what she wanted. Once she turned back, the door opened again and the angel from outside stepped inside. Sara took a look around, nodding to a few o fthe patrons, then moved to stand at Jade's table with a serene smile on her face. "Hello, Jade. Who is your friend?"

Tys frowned. "Yeah treat me like I'm not here... Steak. I want steak... It's my favorite." Hiss eyes widened as he went into a small flashback. "Very rare..." He was practically drooling.

Kalip has been tracing this power for miles. Why does this essence feel so familiar? And why do I have the unquenchable urge to find it? He had so many questions, but Kalip did not have an answer for a single one of them. In the middle of his thought, Kalip spotted a little diner. At first he did not pay it any mind. Just another human setting. Until... There is that familiar aura again. It is rolling all over the building. Walking to one of the windows, looking in, Kalip quickly identified the source of the aura; a small female. By her appearance she was celestial. Who is she? Is she something special to me? An enemy? A friend? Kalip raised his power to gather attention to himself. Will she react the same to my power?...
