I'm rooting for the United States as well as Jamaica and India. whee But I am also going to root for China because although there are human rights issues in China, I don't think that the boycotts are fair to the Chinese people who are proud to be able to host the event and don't really have anything to do with what everyone is raving about since that is primarily the government's fault. gonk

sigh.
I've become a Michael Phelps 'phan'.
heck I even made an official thread
that really needs help on getting some discussion going... about him, lol.

This man is just legendary.
and he won yet another gold medal!

GO TEAM USA!!! Keep winning golds! <3

although I wonder what ever happened to team Philippines? neutral I'm guessing that all of them haven't made it past the pre-lims in their area of sport concentration.

Dood, Phelps has, like 11 gold medals already. And he still has, like, 3 more competitions to go. Most gold medals in the history of the Olympics!! Talk about ambitious. He even beats his own world records. eek He's jjust that awesome. xd

GO MICHAEL PHELPS!! even though his goggles filled up with water he still got gold! his mom was yelling like crazy in the stands it was funny!

last night i couldn't stop watching the womens gymnastics. I was rooting for team USA. i felt sorry for alicia sacramone cause she messed up alot. but nastia liukin and shawn johnson was good so they kinda made up for that even though they slightly messed up. atleast they got second place though. but yeah.... its scary watching gymnastics cause you can make a mistake easily. so yeah... congrats to china since they got first!! =)

lol omg did you guys see another one of NBC's little intermission thiniges? this time they were focusing on authentic Chinese restaurants (so that means no Panda Express -- YES. I -strongly dislike- that chain restaurant with a passion!). xD

when the lady was tying to eat the fried scorpion, all of these Chinese people suddenly started gathering around her and tried to take pictures of her eating the scorpion XD.

man that made me hungry for food...-gets up to eat-

I'm an ABC, but I can't help but root a bit more for China because it's where all of my family's traditions and customs come from. Also, I know how hard China has worked for the BeiJing Olympics and how much potential it has for the future. I am also lucky enough to watch the Olympics in China, and the patriotic spirit is contagious. XD

The diving and gymnastics have been AMAZING. 17 golds so far!!!

Man, so obvious Yang Wei of China would win hte Men's All-Around Gymnastics Final. I just wished that maybe Jonathan or Alexander of USA would at least get bronze... But I'm happy Kohei Uchimura of Japan got silver~ wink
