Alex shook his head with a laugh. "No I'm not gay." He looked at her. He couldn't say much else to her without lying.

Cassidy laughed. "Sorry. It's just weird for me." She frowned softly, wrinkling her nose. "But it doesn't matter. I love having you around to talk to" She declared as she started twirling again, but she tripped over her feet and fell with a heavy thud into the grass, face first. "Ow." She mumbled, her voice muffled by the grass

"And I love having a friend." Alex smiled then watched her fall. He kneeled next to her. "You ok Cassidy?" He asked her and held out a hand for her.

Cassidy grimaced slightly as she placed her hand in his. "No. I don't feel okay. That hurt" She frowned at her feet. "Stupid feet." She laughed softly.

Alex picked her up and looked at her. "Should we go back to the castle? I know a few medical techinques." He said softly as he looked at her.

Cassidy nodded softly. "Maybe that'd be a good idea." She held her head, frowning. "oomph... I feel woozy." She sighed softly and closed her eyes, leaning her head against his shoulder.

Alex nodded slowly and started to walk back to the castle with her in his arms. "Shhh, it's ok. Just try and get some rest, okay?" He said, speakingly softly as he tried to comfort her. And as long as her eyes stayed close she wouldn't notice that his blush had returned.

Cassidy mumbled something inaudiably into his shoulder, her eyes shut and her face buried in his chest. Her arms folded softly against her chest. She could feel herself falling asleep to the sway of his body as he moved. A small smile crept on her face.

Alex watched her as she drifted off into sleep, and as a smile appeared on her lips. He couldn't help but smile as he looked down at her. She was adorable. But he was cursed to keep his feelings hidden from the one thing he loved the most.
As they got into the castle he laid her down on her bed gently. He pulled up the clothing around her legs and noticed that one of them was swollen. "She must have sprained it." He whispered to himself and went to get some ice. He came back with a rag wrapped around a few ice cubes and put it on her ankle.

Cassidy yawned softly and mumbled something about the ice being cold. She was still asleep, the small smile still lingered on her face. She shivered softly, and snuggled into the bed, reaching blindly for something to warm her. Her fingers found his arm and she pulled it around her, sighing happily.

Alex blinked as he was yanked forward, pulled on to the bed with her. His face turned a deep red, but he kept quiet, careful not to wake her. Her warmth made him feel happy, like he belonged their with her. And within a few minutes he had fallen asleep.

Cassidy tucked herself against Alex's body, still shivering softly, but growing warmer thanks to his body heat. She smiled softly and her eyes fluttered open. She yawned softly and rubbed her eyes. She looked beside her and saw Alex with his arm wrapped around her. Her eyes widened, wondering. Then she recalled pulling something across her and she laughed silently. She realised she pulled him there to warm her. She sighed softly trying not to wake him. Curiously she peered at her leg. It was swollen. She reached down and touched it, wincing.

Alex was smiling softly as he slept. His arm tightened a bit as he felt her move, unconsciously he didn't want her to move. He started to snore softly and stirred a little, but he didn't wake.

Cassidy giggled quietly and softly rested her head down again. She did enjoy the warmth that this cuddling brought. She closed her eyes and slowly fell asleep again.

Alex woke up a bit later. He opened his eyes to Cassidy sleeping, and him right next to her. He blushed a bit and moved some hair out of her face gently.
