She also has a thing for beefy men who are uber protective. All her main male characters are like "You looked at MY woman now I am going to use my super sized muscles to rip off your arms and beat you to death with them."

That's true. Very stereotypical.

It's funny, though, that none of this really gets in the way of the actual story while reading, it's just that in retrospect that we're thinking these things. XD

She's good, catches me up in the story and it isn't until afterwards that I have complaints.

Got a hold of Bayou Moon. Its was okay. I think I enjoyed the half dozen preview pages of Magic Slays a much as I enjoyed the whole book.

I still haven't finished. XD Exams caught up to me. And I finally bought Silver Borne by Patricia Briggs and started reading that instead. n.n"

Magic Slays probably comes out in like April or something, huh? D: So farrrrr!

Oh yeah, I read that one a while back. XD I actually really enjoyed the story. I'd been kind of wondering about it for a while, so I'm glad she wrote it.

It was fun, buuuuuuut. I wish the (non-already-written) dialogue weren't so choppy and awkward. Like that conversation between Curran and Julie. Umm, could it be any more stilted-sounding? D: Other than that, I really enjoyed it. I liked the snippet from Magic Bites best, I think. Mostly for that one line. XDD

It was a bit unrefined, but still good. They didn't have the scenes I wanted to know about though. I wanted to see what Curran's reaction was when Kate impaled herself on the Scarlet Star and his reaction when Andrea told them what Kate had done.

Yeah, those would be awesome ones to see Curran's viewpoint. Maybe in volume 2? (Which I'm assuming they're going to make, since that was labeled volume 1.)
