I wouldn't call it perversion... each person has his/her own reason for liking it, really.
In my case, it's the amazing plots and art, and the characters as well~. I am a pervert, though, so maybe it's just no use arguing. XDD;; I pride myself in being a perv~!
But, to me, when I hear the word pervert, I think of really cruel things people do sexually to another person (rape and murder, child pornography, stalking, etc.) so I don't really connect shounen-ai or anything like that with some of the more perverted things I've seen and heard about before. I guess some people might like it solely for the sexual bits, but others like it out of curiosity or simply appreciate the art. It depends on how you view shounen-ai, and whether you consider it pervy. =P
I just read it and enjoy it. No strings attached~~.

Ha, I've seen some pretty.... different.... stuff when reading doushinji's and fanfictions ect.

I'm a HUGE pervert!! The stories I write, the stories I read, the anime i watch, the fact that i think about yaoi 24/7? I think that makes me a pervert.
But i don't think EVERYONE that watches yaoi or shonen-ai is necessarily a pervert. It's a perfectly healthy sexual interest. It depends on what you look at, what you do, stuff like that, you know?
