She smiled and nodded her head. If anything was to go wrong, the first place she would run to is the park. For some odd reason, she felt like that would always be her safe place with Skye.

"Good." Skye gave her hand a little squeeze. He couldn't wait for the night to be over and hoped for a good night.

"This may be silly, but I think the park is our only safe place to be together. Yes, it's public and open, but I think that's what makes it safe. There are always humans around." She said softly.

Skye thought about that a minute. "I think your very right. And if not the park a lot of places in town too if you go by that logic, the more humans the safer it would be."

Lyle nodded and smiled at him. Her smile soon faded as they were getting close to the edge of town, and just a little further past that was her aunt's house. "I love you." She said softly as she gazed at him. She couldn't keep up her optimistic view of bringing him to dinner.

"I love you too." It made him smile a little. Skye just felt like tucking tale and running, but he knew better then to do that.

Lyle smiled and continued to walk. She didn't know waht else to say since she couldn't keep up her optimism anymore. Besdies, they were so close anyways. It was another few minutes before they finally did reach ehr aunt's house. "Well, here we are." She said softly. Her mouth was beginning to go dry already with nervousness and fear. She led Skye up to the door. Lyle was surprised to find that her aunt was opening th edoor as they were approaching it. A small nervous smile spread across her face. "I hope you don't mind that I invited Skye to dinner tonight." Lyle said innocently. Her aunt stared at them for a few seconds before stepping to the side and allowing them into the house.

Skye was surprised that no argument had commenced. He managed to keep his heart rate even as he walked in and past her aunt. He forgot about the pie he was holding and took in his surroundings, noting exits and possible things to use as a weapon if it came down to it. He wasn't doing this intentionally, just a habit that his parents instilled in him.

Lyle was a bit shocked that her aunt didn't say anything. She wasn't sure if that was a good thing or not since she didn't know her aunt all that well. She forced a small smile on her face as she continued to walk in. "We bought cheese cake for desert. I hope that's alright with you." Lyle said as she turned and look from Skye to her aunt.

Skye then looked down, remembering he was the one holding it and held it out to her. He was still on edge that they were here and he didn't have his knife.

Lyle smiled as she watched her aunt grab the box with a small smile. She then watched her walk away with the cheese cake. Lyle looked at Skye again, hoping that he wasn't about to run out of the house. "I think she likes the cake." She said softly.

"I have a bad feeling about all this.... She's too calm." Skye was getting agitated. It was like the calm before a storm, it unnerved him.

Lyle bit down on her bottom lip. Skye had a point, her aunt was acting calmer than the both of them had thought. Though, she just push all negative thoughts away and simply smiled at Skye. "Maybe we don't need to worry about anything." She said softly, trying to convince herself, more than Skye, that everything will be okay. She started walking slowly through the living room and towards the dining room.

Skye followed her and then froze when he saw who was in the dinning room. There were more people here then he had anticipated. And he was pretty sure none of them were local humans.

Lyle felt Skye freeze, and she did so as well. She wasn't expecting more members to be joining for dinner. Usually it was only her aunt and her eating dinner; rarely her uncle since he's always busy with work. She began squeezing Skye's hand as she felt her stomach turn.
