"I don't know. We don't have to talk. We can just lay here and enjoy lying in each other's arms." He knew it sounded stupid and awkward to say out loud, but it was the best way he could think of to put it.

"Ok." Remus smiled and cuddled closer. Being in Severus' arms made him so relaxed he drifted off to sleep.

Severus smiled and stroked Remus's hair lightly as he guarded the sleeping Gryffindor, thinking about Remus's wounds, the mark on his neck, and Remus's strange reaction to Severus asking about it. "I love you," he whispered, placing a soft kiss on Remus's cheek before drifting into a light slumber himself.

When Remus woke up he realized they had slept through the night. He kissed Severus lovingly. "Sevie wake up we need to get to class."

Severus jumped awake. "What? Oh. Crap. And we've still got to get our bags." He sighed and forced himself to stand. "All right. Let's go." He offered a hand to Remus, yawning lightly.

"Don't worry we're not running late. it's just time to get up." He took Severus' hand and walked back to school with him through the tunnle under the willow.

Severus nodded, both of them as of yet unaware of the rumour spreading around the school. When they walked into the school, however, Severus felt almost every single pair of eyes turn toward them and the chatter increase. "I wonder what in Merlin's name is going on here."

"I don't know. Maybe they realize we were gone the entire night." He kissed Severus' cheek. "Well I'll see you in a bit. I need to get changed and grab my bag. I love you." Remus went off to his dorm to do as he said.

"Maybe," Severus murmured to himself, listening in to one group's conversation. "Did you hear about that Gryffindor and Malfoy? Apparently, he's Malfoy's now. He made it official the other day." Severus scowled and stormed to the Slytherin common room, planning on having a chat with Lucius.

Remus had heard the chatter too. He had hoped that Severus couldn't hear it but he knew he was going to hear sooner or later so had had to explain to him what happened.
Sirius saw Remus walk into the dorm. "Moony what's wrong?"
"Somebody has been spreading romors that me and Malfoy are back together. And I'm afraid of what Severus will think."
Lucius smirked when he saw Severus walk in obviously upset. "Severus, my friend, what's bothering you?"

"Yeah. We'd heard those rumours, too. Tell us about it. Not that we believe them, but we do want to hear your side." James watched Remus closely.
"You know very well what's bothering me, Lucius. You had to have heard the rumours. Mind explaining?" Severus growled at his friend, glaring.

Remus sat down on his bed. "Yesterday when I was heading to astronomy Malfoy pulled me into an empty classroom." Reus frowned and hugged his knees. "He kept kissing and touching me and I told him no but we had sex. Severus can't know though. i can't lose him."
"Rumor? Oh the rumor that Lupin is cheating on you? Yes I was going to tell you about that when I heard but I couldn't find you. I'm terrible sorry but I honestly didn't expect any less from him."

Sirius's eyes widened. "You didn't really, did you? You're saying the rumours are true, Moony?"
"Don't you dare insult Remus that way, Malfoy. Have you heard who he cheated with? It was you. And if you tell me that's true, I will hex you and your great-great grandchildren."
