I didn't really know where to put this (I'm sort of new around here), but I thought this might be a good spot. So, I was bouncing back and forth on whether or not to purchase Dreadfleet since it's announcement. I didn't really want to get it, but I've been craving a sailing-themed game with minis. The ones in Dreadfleet are darn pretty, but I'm not sure I'm up to giving them the paint job they deserve. Leviathans is due out soon-ish, but, while certainly poised to become my new favorite game, it's not a sailing game. But I saw this little nugget today, and while I'll have to wait another year, it sounds like exactly the game I want. The link: http://www.tabletopgamingnews.com/2011/09/29/50939/It would seem that the designers behind Wings of Glory (formerly known as Wings of War) have a new naval game set in the Age of Sail. I'm a big Wings of War/Wings of Glory fan, and it sounds like this game is based on the same mechanic. So yes. I'm looking forward to this release. I certainly hope the minis are as nice as the planes they have now.
