--Relentless-- "Relentless to survive, Relentless to protect -- Relentless in life." Within a few more minutes, a small cottage like building could be seen. It was big enough for one person, with enough room to live comfortably. with the amount of foliage around the place, and with only one way in, it was a safe building that did not need any more protection that what it already has. "A long while. No one has been able to stand until this team came along. It might be fun to cut him down as it would be to watch. I have always wanted to taste a true warrior's blood from my blade." Just like her father, or so she was told by those who knew him. "True. You do have a point." Azreal stated with a soft smile. He had yet to figure out exactly why his Fighter was so tired. It didn't seem right. Not when he looked at it from the way Jin might be. If he looked at it from his brothers, it was clear. Those two spells that Jin used, that were completed spells with no loop holes and the long version of commands would have sapped anyone's strength. With being how weak he is in that area, Jin could have easily killed himself yet he took energy from his body making recovery slower. --Fearless-- "To fear the name, is to fear life itself."

"Oh?" Noriko asked with a mischievous smirk. "Well, there IS always time to cut him open a bit before we have to deliver him." then she brightened, having a fantastic idea. "We beat the Sacrifice, ne? Then you take on the Fighter. Once he can't move anymore... you can cut up his Sacrifice right then and there. Make him watch his partner's last moments." They headed into the small cottage, Noriko simply loving this idea. "That way," she said, taking off her shoes at the door, "Master gets what he wanted and we get to play..."
It took every ounce of strength Jin had not to yawn. Somehow, he managed it, but that didn't stop the young man from feeling exhausted. His body was beginning to show it as well however. "Just out of curiosity, Azreal... what are you planning on doing after I fell asleep again?" Jin asked, not wanting his Sacrifice to become bored.

--Relentless-- "Relentless to survive, Relentless to protect -- Relentless in life." Aza smirked as well, enjoying this plan they were forming. "Yes, there is always time from the fight to the time we have to deliver. Beat the Sacrifice, beat the Fighter and add a bit of torture in it as well. I do love how you think. Its perfectly delicious." Though Aza knew she had to train, to refresh a few things, she couldn't help to feel excited at the planned fight. Anticipation came with it as well. Slipping her shoes off, Aza opened the door to the small cottage, welcoming her Sacrifice in first. Azreal shook his head silently, feeling the muscles wanting to yawn but Jin holding it back. It was a cute display of control, even at such a weak state. "I have a bit of work that Ru gave me. That, and a few books that I want to read." It sounded simple enough, but those few books were nothing to laugh at, not with how Azreal was reading them. With one final brush, Azreal ran his fingers through the hair. After a few strokes like this, he set the brush on the end table before admiring his work. Silky as always. "Your hair, it must have taken a long time in order to get it this silky." --Fearless-- "To fear the name, is to fear life itself."

Carefully, Yuujinchou pulled his hair back, making sure all of it was behind his shoulders, before turning and focusing on Azreal again. "I've always kept good care of it, so it's only natural." Of course he didn't mention that it was really a family tradition to grow one's hair long, even for the men in their family. His father had had long hair, so did his brother. Even his grandfather. "At least you won't be bored." Jin spoke as he leaned back against the sofa again. For a moment, he closed his eyes, simply relaxing. But then he smiled to Azreal, "Arigatou... you didn't have to do that, but I'm glad you did."
The candlelight flickered as blue-grey eyes swept across the calligraphy painting on the desk. "I take it you heard their report, Verin-san." Ginyuushijin asked, his Japanese accent turning 'Verin' into 'Berin'. His English was usually very good, but certain letter combinations still shined through on occasion. Long white hair hid his expression, but he was well aware of the man who hid himself within a side hall of the room. A man who hadn't been seen nor sensed by Heartless at all.
Noriko smiled, "Glad you like the idea." she spoke, stretching her arms up over her head before entering the cottage's main room. It didn't take her long before she collapsed on a sofa. "We'll need to train hard... both of us. Meditation for me, I think... it did wonders the last time I focused on the mental aspect of training."

--Relentless-- "Relentless to survive, Relentless to protect -- Relentless in life." Aza smiled as she watched her Sacrifice. It was a tiny smile, but there, nonetheless. It was a good feeling to smile, especially to feel a bit more relaxed than what the real world allowed her to be. "Tomorrow. That is what we will be doing. Today, relaxation." Aza stated, knowing she wanted to be at her fullest before they started training. She might even meditate as well, or find something peaceful to occupy her time. The silence was enjoyable. As his eyes danced in the darkness, he couldn't help but feel excited. Fearless. There was only one man that he knew from childhood that held that name. It will be a very fun challenge, as long as his pawns moved correctly. "Jin and Azreal, the Fearless pair. How are you going to move?" The voice called from the darkness, stepping forward so only a part of his face was seen. He was a fan of black, for it allowed him to hide so very well. "They are far to weak to handle Azreal, let alone your brother." Always straight to the point, never taking any detours. Azreal nodded, smiling. There was proof in that statement. The hair was silky even without conditioner. "No one has found me bored yet. I am always doing something." Azreal either had a book in his hand or doing something else to occupy his time. His relaxation was doing something, just like his work. It was very, very rare to find Azreal doing nothing even if it was watching tv. "I am glad that you allowed me." They needed contact, much more than what they have now, in order to be a stronger team. Trust was also heavily needed. --Fearless-- "To fear the name, is to fear life itself."

Jin frowned slightly, "I suppose I don't exactly exude an aura that makes a person comfortable enough to actually touch me." the man spoke, but that frown soon disappeared into a smile. "Granted, I'm trying to change that."
Smirking, Ginyuushijin turned his head, pulling white hair back behind his shoulders, as he watched the man who entered the room. "My brother... I will watch how he fights, analyze the mistakes Heartless makes in their own personal war against Fearless... and strike from there. I have... others who can bring him to us if need be." Blue-grey eyes fell on a blank piece of parchment which lay next to the desk on the tatami floor. Carefully, Gin moved his brush, before making a few strokes of his brush. "My brother has one weakness..." he spoke softly, his eyes focused on the task at hand, while he spoke. "He remembers me... but nothing of the training I gave him. He fears me... when it is himself who he should fear." Gin looked up at Mal before smiling darkly. "He will be the perfect Fighter, Verin-san... If he remembers... he will serve us without question."
Noriko pouted slightly, "Oh fine..." she said, tilting her head back over the sofa armrest so that she could see Aza. Her hair fell around her to hang almost to the floor. "Do you have anything to eat? Something I could throw in the microwave? I'm famished."

--Relentless-- "Relentless to survive, Relentless to protect -- Relentless in life." "Unless you have a different idea." It wasn't the place of a Fighter to make orders. If it truly was up to her and how she was raised, she wouldn't even be here right now but training. Something to eat. Oh yes, she had a few things. "You aren't the only one." Aza stated as she headed into the kitchen and fumbled around in the strangely over stocked refridge. 'He must have sent someone. I don't remember buying any of these.' "Move your pawns carefully. It would be a shame to see you fall into their trap." It was a habit to repeat himself, especially when it was things his own father had taught him. The Shismar brother's weren't strong just because of their own father and his lectures, but because of everything that family had been through. Few people remembered the horrid battle that had happened when his father was around his own age, nor the deaths that were caused by the two families. "And what if he remembers and follows the lead of his partner? Who will kill him then?" One always had to be a few steps above their opponents. Knowing the brothers, they were probably just grasping what lay ahead for them, what was truly about to happen. "I was like you once, so I guess those waves didn't even come to my attention. And I am glad that you are trying to change, for I am willing to help you." Azreal stated with a soft smile. It was like looking back on his younger self. Though his brother was the one with the energy and power, Jin was more like Azreal than he knew. "Please. Do get some sleep. I will be here when you wake." It wasn't like he was willing to leave his Fighter anyways. --Fearless-- "To fear the name, is to fear life itself."

Smiling softly, obviously glad to know that his Sacrifice wasn't going to go anywhere when he was still recovering, Yuujinchou nodded. "Even if that wasn't an implied order," he spoke, obviously teasing. He carefully laid down on his right on the sofa, his hair cascading down from his left shoulder. "I would have done it simply for the sake of being tired." Jin closed his eyes, his body relaxing since he obviously believed he was perfectly safe under Azreal's watchful gaze. "Arigatou..." he whispered once more, before letting his mind go blank and simply allowing sleep to wash over his still exhausted body.
Ginyuushijin set down his ink brush and smiled, his gaze focused on Verin alone. "If Chou remembers everything and fails to come back to my side... then I will find the perfect Sacrifice... and kill him myself." 'Kill, or persuade him to join me. After all... a blank name can always be erased.'
Smiling, Noriko did a backflip off the sofa and followed Aza into the kitchen. She threw her arms around her Fighter's neck, hugging her while looking over her shoulder. "Oooo... you have packaged takoyaki!" her smile grew. "Can I?" her grey eyes darted around the fridge. "Anything with nori?"

--Relentless-- "Relentless to survive, Relentless to protect -- Relentless in life." "Hm. Let me see... Ah, here we are!" Aza stated as she pulled out both items, setting them on the counter next to the refridge. "Chow down." Aza smiled, looking for her own meal now. "Wise. But do you truly intend to kill your own brother? Persuasion could always help. Kill the Sacrifice and make him your own." If the brother's were broken, if their teams crushed, they could both be a great help. Kill the sacrifice of both fighters, or make them into a different team. How fun it would be to have them both face each other in a life or death battle. There were so many ways to advance, and so much time to make their plan perfect. Azreal couldn't help but chuckle. If Jin hadn't gone to sleep, he knew his body would have dragged him to it. He didn't have to order, not that he truly wanted to, for he knew the body would naturally. "No need to thank me." Azreal whispered before sitting down in the love seat, crossing his legs and laying one book on each knee. --Fearless-- "To fear the name, is to fear life itself."

((Sorry I didn’t send Emi’s profile in until today)) —Devoted— The house was eerily quiet, too quiet for six in the morning. Worried, Hisa crept out of her bed and silently made her way down the stairs. She wondered if her mother had passed out from her binge drinking the night before. As she came into the dining room, she froze, her voice dying inside her before she could scream, her eyes seeing nothing but the limp body of her mother hanging above the dining room table.
Hisa awoke in a cold sweat, her heart racing. She hadn’t had that nightmare since she had first arrived this summer. The fact she’d dreamt it now, did not bode well. To calm her heartbeat she took deep breaths and listened to Emi’s steady breathing. She was glad she was not by herself. If she was... She stopped that train of thought, not wanting to go there and instead, glanced over at the alarm clock. The time read, 5:31 a.m. The alarm would go off in 29 minutes.
Careful not to disturb Emi, she crawled out of bed and headed for the shower, but didn’t reach the bathroom door before her cell vibrated. Flipping it open as she continued to walk, she saw that the message was from her foster mother yet, opened it anyway, against her better judgment. It said, “You at Emi’s, honey? Your first class starts at 7:30 a.m. Make sure to get to school early so that you can get your schedule. Love you. Remember nothing can change that.”
Feeling her anger from last night begin to resurface, she quickly stuffed her phone back into her pocket before she responded rashly and walked into the bathroom, closing the door. Once she got the shower turned on, the warm water soothed her body, losing her in her thoughts. She knew her foster parents probably thought she was ditching today, especially because she hadn’t responded to her foster mother’s text. That was fine, if it frazzled them, the better. She wondered if they’d freak out and call the school during their lunch break. That would be rather lame. Maybe she would text her foster mother back later.
A rapping on the bathroom door brought Hisa back to reality as she finished rinsing out the hair conditioner and hurriedly turned off the water. “I’ll be done soon,” she raised her voice so Emi could hear her. Within a couple minutes she dried off and then wrapped the towel securely around herself. As she cracked open the door she looked around for Emi and spotted her reviewing for a Calculus quiz on the bed.
“Do you have a change of clothes I could borrow today?” Hisa asked sheepishly. She hadn’t thought about that before she’d decided to spend the night at Emi’s, “I have school today,” she added as an afterthought.
“I do,” Emi replied, pointing to a fresh set of clothes beside her, “When is your first class?”
“Thanks,” Hisa said snatching them up, “7:30 a.m.”
“You’ll need to leave shortly then,” Emi stated, eyes accessing Hisa’s more serious injuries, “it’s six. I’ll reapply your bandages after you finish changing.”
“Okay,” Hisa answered returning to the bathroom. It embarrassed her that Emi had thought of her need for a change of clothes before she had. But that was the way it was. Emi had a knack for knowing what a person needed before they did.
Putting on the last sock, she took a quick look at herself in the mirror and was satisfied. The clothes may have been from Emi’s wardrobe, but she had gotten her style right. When Hisa stepped back out into the bedroom, Emi looked up from her rummaging through the first aid kit and motioned her to sit on the bed beside her.
“Your teachers will probably flip when they see you today,” Emi chuckled as she began to bandage Hisa’s bruised knuckles on her right hand.
“The best part will be seeing their expressions,” Hisa responded catching Emi’s light mood.
“Yes,” Emi agreed applying a Band-Aid on Hisa’s left cheek and then moving on to her left, upper arm, “you’ll have to tell me about the reactions after school.”
“Ouch!” Hisa exclaimed, “You’re bandaging it too tight.”
“Sorry,” Emi replied loosening the bandage a bit before pulling up Hisa’s shirt so she could apply a few more Band-Aids to her stomach and back. When she was about to apply the last one, Emi’s eyebrows furrowed as she counted two bruises near her right rib, “What do you want me to do about these?” she gestured.
“Nothing,” Hisa said smiling at Emi’s concern, “Their location makes it so they aren’t in danger of getting worse.”
“I know,” Emi stated, “I guess you don’t want me to take care of your bruised knee or shin either?” she asked.
“No I don't,” Hisa answered, pulling her shirt back down and slipping her boots on, “I should probably leave now.”
“You should,” Emi remarked in agreement, “it is 6:30 a.m. now. What are you going to do about breakfast?” she questioned.
“I’ll just go without,” Hisa responded, as she made her way to the window.
“Buy something to eat along the way,” Emi plead, “I have cash on hand if you need some.”
“No,” Hisa said, a hint of irritation in her voice as she paused at the window, “I’ve got that covered. I’ll grab something at the deli.”
“Good,” Emi replied, feeling satisfied, “don’t beat anyone up too badly,” she teased in farewell.
“I can’t promise anything,” Hisa laughed as she jumped out the window and landed softly on the recently cut grass. Within a matter of a few minutes, she was soon on the sidewalk in front of Emi’s house and on her way to the bus stop. Hisa was glad Emi had told her where the school was the last time they had hung out and even more glad that she still remembered it. She still didn’t feel like texting her foster mother. —Relentless— “Relentless to survive, Relentless to protect— Relentless in life.”

Laughing softly, Ginyuushijin shook his head, "You know me too well, Verin-san." he spoke before laying back on the tatami, arms pillowing his head as he stared up at the ceiling. "I would never kill my brother... but I will break him." his smirk turned dark. "I can make him forget all over again... won't it be fun?"
Seguchi was positively in heaven. She grabbed some chopsticks and quickly dug into the chirashizushi with nori, and the takoyaki (once she had microwaved it of course). "Oishii!" she said happily, strangely at peace with the world in that moment. Food made so many things better sometimes. "Aza, what are you eating?" Nori asked quizzically before popping another takoyaki in her mouth.

~~Saito Komomura*ENDLESS*~~ Saito was waved a happy good-bye as Fuki and Aya left home. This then left him alone with Verikai and Rauko-Sensei, who were both looking pretty dangerous. Saito needed to disfuse the situation...and quickly before something happened. He knew that Verikai was quick to act on impulse..
Before he could say anything, Rauko-Sensei smiled as he said, "I must take my leave. For those who feel up to it, please study your parts. Fighters, pages ten through fifteen. Sacrifices, pages twenty-five to thirty. If you see any of your classmates, please pass this to them. Tomorrow there will be a spellfight. I require you all to know what these pages say and be prepared for tomorrow. Saito, if you feel up to it, you may also study, but I do not require it. You may also watch tomorrow if the doctors allow you out. When you return to school, or when your Fighter allows you, he will teach you what you have missed."
"Ah! I'll definantly study sensei. And I'll be there!" Saito said determined. He knew that he wasn't in the best shape of his life, but he needed to do this in order to become stronger...for Verikai.
He waved as the Rauko-Sensei left out the room. He was excited about tommorow....but that could wait.
"Verikai?" Saito said, touching his shoulder. He was surprised when Verikai wrapped his arms around his waist, picking him up and setting him on the bed.
"Verikai, what's wrong?" Saito asked confused as the man tunked him in, Kissed his forehead and sat in the chair next to his bed. Saito didn't like this..at all. Verikai was different...it was as if...he was cold somewhat. Saito felt distance...and he couldn't bear that, especially from Verikai.
Saito sat up quickly, his had pounding from the sudden movement..but he didn't care. He leaned over and hugged Verikai tightly.
"Please don't....don't distance yourself from me." He said, on the verge of tears.

((Oh no! 0.o I'm going to be gone at Aki-con this weekend. I'll try my best to get on Saturday and Sunday night, but I can't promise I'll be able to. I'll think of something, if school starts while I'm gone^^))
—Devoted— “Vzist-vzist, vzist-vzist,” Emi’s cell phone vibrated, alerting her to a text message. It took her a moment to find a stopping place in her Calculus textbook before she flipped her cell open and saw that the message was from her friend Michika. Opening it, she read, “Sensei Kasei’s class is canceled! We get out early~”
“Whew, I was cramming for his Calculus quiz. Thanks for letting me know. Now, I can relax a bit more,” Emi responded relieved.
“It was nothing,” Michika texted back cheerily, “See you at school in a hour.”
“See ya,” Emi replied as she slid off the bed and onto the carpeted floor, humming hANGRY Angry’s “Angelia”. She was glad to have gotten that menacing quiz out of the way.
As Emi packed her shoulder bag, it dawned on her. With her last afternoon class canceled, she would have time to drop by Hisa’s new school and wouldn’t have to wait until Hisa texted her that evening to fill her in. Contemplating it some more, she paused in packing her bag when she realized she’d been too distracted with her Calculus quiz to ask Hisa what high school she was going to. Chastising herself, she quickly texted Hisa, “Hey, my last class got canceled today. I was thinking I’d swing by your school later. Which high school are you attending?”
Lightening skittered across the dark sky, fooling all who hadn’t awoken at dawn to see the sun’s rays, into thinking it had started out looking this foreboding. Hisa nearly jumped when her phone vibrated, jolting her from her nodding off state that buses so often caused. Flipping open her cell, she saw that the text was from Emi and immediately opened it. Once she finished reading it she sent a text back, “Cool, I’d love that. The high school’s your old one you graduated from last year.”
Hisa’s word’s spanned the length of the screen staring back at Emi. She felt the calm she usually kept in place slipping. ‘No,’ Emi pleaded, gripping the phone in a vice-like way, ‘please, after all I did to protect her from that world. Why did her parents have to send her there?’ she asked, trying to regain control of her emotions, ‘I definitely have to drop by the high school then,’ she concluded, ‘for damage control.’
Managing her emotions once more, Emi returned Hisa’s text, “Okay,” she said, “I’ll see you then. Why don’t we take the bus home together?” she hoped Hisa would not turn her offer down.
The pause that followed, worried Hisa, Emi was usually quick to respond. When Emi finally did reply, Hisa could feel something was off, but couldn’t lay her finger on it. Brushing it aside, Hisa answered Emi, “Sure, see you later. Bring an umbrella. The sky’s threatening to rain.” Even before she finished sending the text, the sky let loose, pouring upon the landscape, drenching unfortunate pedestrians who were caught in it unprepared. She wished she had brought an umbrella herself.
Emi breathed a sigh of relief as she read Hisa’s response and looked out the window. The rain was coming down in buckets and lightening arced across the black sky. Checking the time, her alarm clock stated that it was 7:15 am. Hisa’s bus would be letting her off at the stop near the high school, right then. Emi put the last of her textbooks in her pack and slung it on her shoulder, grabbing her umbrella as she left the room. She’d have ten minutes to eat breakfast. —Relentless— “Relentless to survive, Relentless to protect— Relentless in life.”
